  • Cannot find the config.xml file

    Hi all

I searched the forum and google my problem with no luck.  I hope someone here can help me.

On my Windows XP VM, I try to use Packager WebWorks to compile a file to archive.  Whenever I do, I get "archive invalid - cannot find the file config.xml.  Of course, my zip file has a config.xml file.

While trying to fix it myself, I downloaded the sketchpadStandard.zip of the sample and could only compile without error.  I extracted the file and re-compressed it and got the error "cannot find the config.xml file.  I used the utility of windows XP, I downloaded winzip and used this utility, I used my mac to compress the file.  Whenever * I * do, I get the error.

Obviously, package manager works, and I'm in the right directory that I'm able to compile the provided sample Archives, but why the hell can not compile the VERY SAME FILES I checked myself?

    Any thoughts much appreciated.

After several hours of experimentation, I finally load the mac version of the SDK directly on my mac, rather than the version of windows on my virtual Windows machine.  I did the fix here would solve the same problem on a mac and it worked.

  • Cannot find the locale data files. Please reinstall

I had a problem with Google Chrome, so I uninstalled via the control panel. I then reinstalled and I have this problem. I always present in my programs in the watched folder, but when I select to demolished, he said ' wait until the current program has finished install or changing.» I have no other program install or change. If I try to open Google, anywhere Progams, taskbar, all programs or directly from the .exe LocalApps it gives me the "could not find the locale data files. Please reinstall.

I found the answer to my question. It seems that you can build processes, I don't understand why. For example I had a problem with my windows Explorer crashing. I disabled all the startup process of msconfig.

In my view, there must be something in there that closes a completed process.
Then I had, unknown to me, when I posted this problem, six or seven cases Google chrome showing the the Task Manager process tab. When I quit all instances of Google, I was able to finish the removal process and re - install Google Chrome.
I just checked right now and I have six Google shown 3 rundll32.exe and two taskeng.exe bodies. I've never seen no more than one instance of anything in this tab before today.
Disabling all startup stuff does not solve my problem to explore some way so I'll allow them once again.
Thank you for helping me and I hope that someone can get useful information from my travels.

  • Invalid application - cannot find the config.xml file archive

I'm new to webworks development... I created a sample config.xml and index.html in the folder Helloworld and made a Zip file...

Then using ripple I packed up the app and the. Cod files are generated correctly...

But I was not able to pack and sign using ripple, if I had the signature keys added to the bin folder of the SDK correctly...

So I tried bbwp command line argument to achieve the same... But it has ended up with the error "Invalid application archive - cannot find the file config.xml.

What is the problem that I do with the archieve file?

How to use eclipse for development for the Webworks 2.3.1.5 sdk?

My guess is that you have a HelloWorld inside your zip file and the file config.xml and index.html are inside this folder. The config.xml file must be in the root and must reference the index.html file, wherever it is in the zip directory structure.

  • Cannot run the install.exe file...

I have a PC laptop toshiba a500-025 with the following specifications:

    Vista 64-bit
I downloaded assassins creed... and when I click on the install.exe file, it says the following: "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that you are running.
check your computers sysytem information if you require a version 86(32 bit) x or x 64(64 bit) of the program and communicate with the editor.
Help... Ive waited a long time for this game... downloaded and now it does not work!

Do you have this of Direct2Drive?  Basically, the original Assassin's Creed v1.0 is compatible not 64-bit.  You need to have the v1.02 patch.  Available here.  Although I don't think you can install the hotfix without first installing the game.  If you need a more recent copy of the game.  If you buy it on Steam, it will not work.  But if you have the Direct2Drive version, you might have missed the system requirements specifying that you need a 32 bit OS to play.

  • Cannot find the corrupt configuration file to be recovered.

I had a similar problem to many people, with my computer telling me that the windows\system32\config\system file is corrupted missing. But after trying the steps on the support page, I got no further than the first step that the files that I need to copy could not be found. I tried to jump to their compensation, but, yet again, as they cannot be found, they cannot be repaired! Don't know what else to try as no command doesn't seem to work with anything whatever in the config folder. Then, try the system restore, but don't even know if it's likely to work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The problem is usually a corrupted file system and not a damaged or missing file.  The message means that XP tries to start, but just can't find or get the file.  A chkdsk /r usually clears it right up, but when the mistake of Googling, KB307545 is the first results, so unfortunately, it's where people start sometimes.  KB307545 is a corrupted registry or a file system afflicted.  If the file system is corrupted, you will get frustrated quickly with KB307545.

KB307545 doesn't really work if you follow the directions exactly and you do not have a problem of file system, but I've never, never, never used to solve the problem you describe because it is usually never really necessary.  Recording file corruption does not usually go to the origin of the error.

If you want to use KB307545, which is something you would do to get your whole system running long enough to make a 'real' system restore, but only after running a chkdsk/r from the Recovery Console.  There is no such thing as a "restoration of the manual system.  There is a "get my system functional enough to do a regular system restore".  KB307545 and a regular system restore are not interchangeable.  It could also be that your system restore is just totally whacked on too much by train.

What happens when you try to start your system in Mode safe?  What is the last thing you see on the screen?

What does ' not loading everything '?

If you use the Recovery Console to implement the KB307545 and have already tried, name changes will not work until you remove the files target of your previous efforts.

If you want to rename fileA to fileB, you must first remove the current file (if it exists).  Change of name is not identical to the copy so if the target file already exists, you cannot rename just another file on top of it.  You will get an error message.  You will need to delete the old file first, and then rename.  That is why your worked the first time but not the second time - the file you are trying to rename already exists.  You cannot rename on top of an existing file.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Cannot sign the application - cannot find the signature key file: author.p12

    Hi all.

I have seen this error on several messages in the forum, but none of the suggested corrections works for me.

I am signing my App BB10 ready to be distributed. It draws very well and I also installed the two relevant files of the LSB and followed the registration procedure. The author.p12 and other files exist in %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Research In Motion

However, when I try to run the following commands, it fails. I also tried to use the graphical help of BlackBerry Tablet OS and I get the same error.

The only thing I noticed is if I run: echo %homepath%, the result is:------. I can't change what I am on Windows 7 on an Active Directory domain and any changes made to these environment variables does not stick.

Is there a way to specify the path to the author.p12 file? Help, please! The output is below:

    C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.4.7>bbwp C:\Proj\App\Deployment\BlackBerry\build\MyApp.zip -g (password) -b 1 -o C:\Proj\Resources\CodeSigning\BlackBerry\BB10

    [BUILD] Populating application source
    [BUILD] Parsing config.xml
[ERROR] Cannot sign application - failed to find signing key file: author.p12

    Thank you.

    Jon

I corrected myself. I realized all I had to do was to create a local user (no AD) on my machine, copy RIM folder my HOMEPATH to HOMEPATH to the local user, then run cmd.exe as the local user and sign the binary file. Worked fine!

  • Cannot find the overall messages file - db.sqlite

Hi, volunteers! Thank you for being here.

The search function of Thunderbird has stopped working. He cannot find all - regardless of the query returned no results.

I understand that I need to rebuild the global database to correct this and have read the instructions here:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/rebuilding-global-database

He tells me to delete my profile from TB global-messages - db.sqlite. Connects me to another page on how to find this profile. I followed these instructions:

    "How to find your profile.

Click on the menu button or menu bar.
From the Help menu, click Troubleshooting Information.
In the Application Basics section, Profile Folder, click on Show in Finder.
The Mac Finder window will show the name of the profile as well as the path to it."

The finder window shows me this file: zfrnv9to.default - 1445806062498. Nothing inside it looks like the file I'm supposed to delete, which is global-messages - db.sqlite.

I also used the Mac projector for a search on "global-messages - db.sqlite. He cannot find anything like this on my Mac Air (which is running El Capitan). It is usually pretty reliable to dig up files, but - no luck.

    What should I do now?

Zenos, thank you! I solved this on my own last night.

In case it helps the next person: I re-read the page of Mozilla to find the file.

So, rather than looking in the Application databases, I dug through my files user myself, using the information that it would be under User/Library etc.

It took a few minutes of poking around to find it. I deleted it, restarted TB, and the search function is back.

The mystery that I can't solve it is why the recommended method or research Spotlight of the CMA does not find it in the first place. But with time and patience, the manual search does the job.

Thanks for the tips, the time and help!
