Cannot ftp to remote server, even if connection tests successfully

I'll put up a site in 2014 CC DW and I set up my site as the server (using .php with MAMP PRO) test and adjustment to the top of my remote server with my host. (In the past I made changes in DW and serving Transmit FTP) I copied my settings of transmission and copied in the settings of server remote from DW and got a successful test. I created a test file and clicked on 'Put', but the file does not appear on the remote server. Flying over my mouse Put indicates that DW puts my test file on the Test Server, which is really just my local site. I want it to go to my remote server. I clicked on disconnect from the test server think that could force him to go on the remote server, but that did not work. What I am doing wrong?

Thank you

  • Cannot publish or 'put' files to a remote server

    Dear all,

I can't publish my Web site to the remote server, even if everything seems to work properly with the connection to the remote server.  No error message and the successful login message appears.  I emptied the cache of Safari but still do not see the updates on the site.  I work with Dreamweaver CS5.5 on a Mac Pro with Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  Very frustrating.

    Dear all,

I solved the problem.  For some reason any Netsonic created an another subfolder in my root file and everything has been publish to this file as instead to replace the old master file directory.  When I saw what was going on in the file from the remote directory, I sent my file 'put' in the new file that had been created and everything worked fine. Furthermore, 'public_html' did not work as a root directory, either - but the problem is solved, it's essential. Thanks to all who responded.

  • How to connect to your Remote Server when you have a test server?

    Hello world

UH..., on my site, I have a test server and a remote server defined in my Site Set UP window, when I test the remote server by clicking on 'test' in the basic window, it says 'connected successfully', but when I open the files window to connect to my remote server and transfer files, it is said "test server" on the left column (all files are in red) and when I click the icon "to connect to the remote host" it connects right on the test server and shows all the test server to the files in the left column.

How to connect to the remote server so I can up load files? Thanks for your help.

See screenshot of the expanded files Panel.  The remote server icon is to the left of the icon of the test server.

  • Suddenly can't put files to a remote server (new)

    Hello

In Dreamweaver 5.5 (OS 10.7) I can't suddenly FTP to remote server. I had this problem a few months ago (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5145574#5145574) and it was fixed by the following suggestion:

Close DW.  Restart your computer. Open DW. If you can not FTP to the server, go to the Site > advanced > recreate Site Cache.

It worked for me the last time, but unfortunately it has not resolved the problem.

At the present time, the updated files go through the normal process to be "placed" on the server, but the changes do not appear when I check the site online. I tried refreshing the page and clear the cache. The files seem to be uploaded to the correct location (they are not put in a sub-folder or anything). I checked that I can connect to my web server. I have not changed anything in the definition of my site and that this problem has just appeared out of the blue.

Just as when this happened to me before, there are random files that want to synchronize (even if they have not been updated), but nothing changes on the remote server. I also tried to sync in "deleting files remote not on the local disk", but it does not help.

Here are some of my Active FTP log, in case it's useful:

    FTP log.png

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    Thanks Preran

I think I finally realized the problem - I had renamed the local root folder.

And once I had re - baptized back to exactly the same as the file open remote seems to work ok.

An error message would have made things easier - to say that the "update" command did not work.

  • Remote server time

A simple question, I am sure that...
When I connect my remote site (FTP server) I get the message of DW "DW cannot determine the remote server time. "Select newer and synchronize will be unavailable.
This is probably to make the remote site to automatically determine which files have been updated etc, so I guess it could be useful?
    How would I just put?
    Thanks for any advice.

Yes-she is used to synchronize and other site management functions.

A possible fix - is your remote site defined at a higher level of private
a folder that you do not have permission to write? This would cause dw to fail
to write the XYIZNWSK file, it uses to check the timestamp of the file.
Then open the FTP log by clicking on connect to will allow you to see what is causing
    the error.

If your site files belong in a subfolder such as www or public_html or
httpdocs or similar, adjust the definition of site for the premises and
distance (using the host directory line in the remote info)

When it freezes on 88% what this said about taking action. For example. Creating the folder the .assets etc.

A screenshot would be really useful to find the root cause.

If its stuck on the example I gave above please go to the current tab and remove all unused items and it should work.

  • Windows Media Center - not the initial download put in place data for guide "unable to connect to the remote server.

    Hello

Looking for help on this one...

I have a new install of windows 7 pro running, and I was not able to get the guide to download Windows Media Center.   I am up-to-date with all the updates and SP1 version running.   My video card drivers are also updated.

I use HDHOMERUN PRIME equipment with cablecard and who receives a TV signal very well and I am able to view it in WMC.    I use Verizon FIOS and my zip code is 07452.    Before this computer, I ran the cablecard even with a ceton infinitv and had no problem Guide at all.

It's just that I can't download the guide data.  Its just totally blank.   I receive the channels and view them, but there is NO data.      Whenever I run the TV setup the same question comes up.  Cannot download the initial configuration data due to the error of previous download.   As far as I know, there is NO error message when Windows installed... actually... I reinstalled windows completely and this has not solved the problem.    I tried to manually download the guide which did not help.   It... nothing happened when I turned 'on' and 'off' WMC in Control Panel to reinstall.  I even tried explore the ehome folder and remove the file db... but nothing is helping.

I can't find a file mcupdate.exe light on my system - don't know if this is relevant.   When I looked in the event viewer here are some of the error messages that I see.

  • Help! Site of 'Put' problem Dreamweaver FTP to a remote server (Go Daddy)

I have Dreamweaver CS5.5.  I encounter the following problem with the hopes that you can help me.

I'm putting the site via FTP files to a remote server (Go Daddy).

I already had the entire site.  Now that I had to modify some pages, I can't put the site published to Go Daddy.

While I can connect via FTP with Go Daddy, I click the Put button, it goes through all the files indicating "successful" - but when I check the site on the internet, the modified version of the site does not appear - the original version of the site stays.

I contacted Go Daddy, they examined and confirmed that all of the information for the Site > manage > edit window is correct (i.e. server name, address FTP, username, password, root directory), but when I put the files (except for 1 single file I have through), they do not receive the files on their end and they cannot understand why.  Go Daddy concludes that the problem lies in the performance of Dreamweaver.

I did some of the following:

    Root directory: public_html /.

    Enable Cache

    Passive FTP mode

and I've tried a variety of combinations, but nothing has worked.

There is something essential that I'm missing? Something? that I should check?  Help, please.

Use Filezilla entire websites to the server. You can see exactly what is happening, and if a file or two fail to get - a common occurrence - you can put them after the break.

I only use FTP of the DW to a single file or handles of files that I've just updated (for example, edit the image files, etc.). If I have a site with 12 000 files, I need to have the peace of mind that everything will be properly implemented and Filezilla gives you that.

  • Unable to connect to a remote server?

I've been connecting to my remote server when you use Dreamweaver for several years. Today, I received the following error message:

An FTP error occurred - cannot connect to the host.

Maximum number of users reach or not authorized to make the connection because of local firewall does not block FTP data.

My firewall is off and I can't connect to my server via Fetch.

I'm not a technical expert. Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Val

    Hi Val,

Please follow it mentioned below as follows:

    1. exit Dw.

    2. Open regedit and navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2015\Site préférences

    3. find the DWord value: CURL_MULTI_FILES_LIMIT and set its value to 2.

    4. launch Dw.

    5. try FTP workflows.

  • Connect to a remote server

I used Dreamweaver for a few years. Recently, I moved to a new computer Windows 7 OS and installed Dreamweaver again. I have regularly manage and edit a Web site without lucrative, but unable to connect to the remote server of the Web page that I used to edit the page in Dreamweaver. The site is published, the files are on my local computer and the remote server, but I can't simply connect. It gives me a msg of error without too much detail. I tried to copy the game to the top in place on my old computer to my new computer, but still cannot connect. I can't tell if it's a firewall on this new computer problem or some other thing that is specific to the operating system on the new computer, or something else entirely.

Can you connect with an FTP 3rd party like Filezilla client?

If not, are you sure that your server remote login credentials are correct?

  • Connection to the remote server through ODBC

I am trying to connect to my XP box to an HP - UX Server databases
with Oracle 10g via ODBC. I have tried almost
everything and still cannot connect to it.

I have the Microsoft driver and the driver Oracle, as well as the
Oracle Instant client installed in the XP box, with a tnsnames.ora
file that points to the server, the variable ORACLE_HOME defined, etc.

I know it's available, because I can connect to this same
machine with JDBC Oracle Thin Client (ojdbc6.jar). This driver deesn can't
don't even need the customer Oracle installed on the local computer. I just
specified the IP address, port (it is a nonstandard port), SID, user, pass and it works.
But do not support the programs I should use JDBC.

Do you have any connection string that is right for you? I tried the
those of connectionstrings.com and carlprothman.net, but I think they are
not intended to connect to a remote server...

Your applications are trying to create a connection without DSN to the database? Or they're trying to connect via a DSN? You try to use a TNS alias? Or include the definition of TNS in the connection string?

You have created a DSN to connect to the Oracle database? If so, the ODBC Oracle driver provides a button "test connection". What did you use? If so, does the connection?

How many houses Oracle you have on this machine? I assume you have at least two, or more. You have configured by an TNS_ADMIN environment variable? If this isn't the case, the tnsnames.ora file would need to be replicated in every Oracle home you want to have access.

From the command line, can you tnsping the TNS alias you created in your tnsnames.ora file?

  • FTP adapter: Not picking not the file on the remote server

    Hello

I use the FTP adapter to read the file from the remote server and file ra.xml - oc4j configured with good host, port, username and password.

Once I have deployed my process, no instance of this process is created and remote directory entry file is not picked up.

Please help on this issue. Thanks in advance.

Just checking that you can send via ftp manually from the BPEL server.

Looks like you can use the ra.xml - oc4j wrong file.

Also in your BPEL project, take a look on the link partner FTP and see the JNDI location, it will look something like eis/Ftp/sample.

This may be what you want to rename, generally good naming practices puts the server, for example Ftp/ist/FtpAdapter

To make sure that you have configured the file ra.xml - correct oc4j we can check through the Manager of the company, even though Marc has specified the correct location.

EM-> oc4j_soa-> Applications-> Drop down choice list autonomous resource adapters-> FtpAdapter-> connection Pools

Select the JNDI name, you indicated in your BPEL process, if there is no create a.

    Create connections as needed.

Also a hint is to start with the base directory, for example when you connect by ftp manually, it will be where you load the files. In your configuration / (oc4j - RA.Xml) is the place of departure and / is the physical or logical path. Download this work so that you know that you have the right connection. Then start working on the location of the directory.

    see you soon

  • CS6 Dw hangs when it is connected to a remote server

    Hi all

First of all, thanks to all those who have contributed here I found a ton of useful info on these forums.

I am facing a problem that has been around for awhile, but I'm afraid, I was unable to find a solution. Dreamweaver (CS6) is very slow/unresponsive in work as part of a 'Site' connected to a remote server. The weird part is that this happens only on my laptop, the feature works fine on my desktop PC which has almost identical characteristics except that my laptop is 100% SSD (you would think it would be more efficient). It hangs for a few seconds when you save a file, which IMO is acceptable, I understand that it is pushing it to the server. The real problem comes when I'm switching between open files, or open a new file. Two of these actions take about 10-15 seconds, during which Dreamweaver has a crisis and I get notification (no response) in the bar of the window.

Dreamweaver is updated, I use no archiving/retrieval functionality. In the server settings, I have «automatically download to the server after...» "and"Maintain synchronization information"checked.  Ftp services work perfectly with my remote server, Notepad ++ also works very well.

PC card in case it is important: (laptop is almost two years but decent hardware and short grand otherwise)

    ASUS

    Windows 10

    I7

    Samsung 500GB SSD

    8 GB RAM

NOTE: in addition, once the file is actually opened and loaded, DW works fine; no lag, no hanging. It is the Act of switching/opening files (file at the top of DW tabs) which takes forever. Economy/downloading files takes less than 5 seconds and during this time, you see the download dialog box and DW does NOT get the "(ne répond pas) ' as it does when switching/opening files."

    Any suggestions on fixing this?

    Best regards

    Alex Overton

Dreamweaver is designed to operate on local files that you upload to the remote server when you are finished editing the. I don't have CS6 installed, but I think he allowed you to work on individual files without defining a site beforehand, and some people used it to edit files in situs, that is what it looks like you do. It is no longer possible in Dreamweaver CM³. You must define a site to be able to edit a file.

Dreamweaver CS6 is is no longer officially supported. If it works well otherwise, I think that you'll just have to consider this shift as a reality. You access files on a network link, so there is a latency. Why it happens on one machine but not another is a mystery.
