Cannot get internet access because I need a network card driver?

I'm having a devil of a time trying to find how do I down load a NIC on a flash drive can I install it on my laptop Acer 5253 which will not let me connect to the wifi. I can download the drivers from the web, but not on a usb key then I can plug it into the laptop. I can't get on internet with the Acer laptop so Microsoft can not analyze the problem, and Acer will not even talk to me because the laptop is out of warranty. I am because of my wits end I have no intelligence of the computer. Can anyone help?

Why do you think 'I can download drivers on the web, but not on a key usb then I can plug it into the laptop"?

This is the right way to do it.

The Acer Aspire 5253 download page has two NIC drivers wireless, one for a card equipped with a chip Atheros and the other for a card equipped with a Broadcom chip.

I'm not familiar with how Acer does things; It is possible that if you go here and enter the serial number or SNID Acer, you can get a description of the hardware installed in your particular unit--> http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/system-information

Otherwise,.

  • Open Device Manager (click the start ORB, type device manager in the start search box and press enter).
  • Expand the "Network adapters" section and look at the entry for your wireless adapter.  You should be able to determine if you have an Atheros or Broadcom device by looking at the name.
  • If the name does not help, even on the 'Détails' tab, go to the Details tab, select "Hardware ID" in the drop-down list and post back with the first line up where 'SUBSYS' starts.  If you have Windows 7, you can right click > copy these data

Example: PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_16B1& SUBSYS_96B11849 & REV_10

Ensure the bold part

If you have Windows 7 and have an Atheros device, download this driver --> http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Wireless%20LAN/Wireless%20LAN_Atheros_9.2.0.439_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634601180335904424&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%205253&OS=712&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

If you have Windows 7 and have a Broadcom device, download this driver --> http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Wireless%20LAN/Wireless%20LAN_Broadcom_5.100.82.87_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634605483323458996&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%205253&OS=712&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

    Wireless router / Internet problems

I am running Windows Vista Home Edition with Security Essentials.  I can connect to my wireless router, but cannot get internet connectivity via Wireless.  If I connect the cable to the port on the router, I get internet connectivity.  Is there a firewall setting that could cause this problem?

    Hello

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And I would like to
Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
    updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.

You lose connection when you do and have to redo your logon.

Control Panel - Network & Sharing Center - right, click Customize - page set of network locations.
lower left click on merge or delete network locations - REMOVE all instances of your network (and the

  • PHANTON Drive; When I try to open the my computer Explorer window is white and I get a message that I need to format the drive F.

    Hello

I have a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  The HARD drive is configured to have a small partition for reserved system, Partition C for the system and the Partiton E for my files.  D drive is the DVD ROM Drive.

Very occasionally when I try to open the my computer Explorer window is white and I get a message that I need to format the drive F.  I did not have a permanent Drive F and when this happened had no other connected devices.

Drive F is often used, as are other drive letters, by various devices from time to time, such as external hard drives, Flash, my TomTom SatNav players, camera, readers of cards etc.

Can someone explain why this happens and if I can do something to stop what is happening in the future?

  • Cannot get internet static IP address

Hi, I put several new Win7 PC in an office that replace Win XP PC. I need to use static IP addresses on all of the PCs, as it is required to access the Unix server. Start of the new PC with internet access very well, but when I assign static IP addresses, they have more internet. My IP address, DNS server, gateway, etc. are all correct and identical to what is plugged into the PC XP (except IP address of course). Even if the new PC do not have internet access, they can connect with the Unix server and other PCs on the working group. When I diagnose the problem I get the answer: "your computer seems to be configured correctly, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding." All the XP computers using the static IP address and have the internet very well. Yes, I already tried to clear the DNS cache.

  • Cannot get wireless access

Have McAfee? It has been updated with a faulty update at the same time as the recent Windows updates.

See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee

Some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update

You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary.

I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, as other listings of McAfee said since then, the application did not refer to his database of threats correctly. Actually, I removed and then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].

I had to run the McAfee Development [removal tool] several times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

If you do not have McAfee then Windows update that kb2705219 may also possibly be a cause like uninstall that seemed to solve the problem for some users. To uninstall an update - control panel, programs & features, [left side of the window] see installed updates. Wait until the system has finished the research for the list of updates. Select update required, then right click and Uninstall.

  • Cannot get internet connection through wireless network

I have a Sony VAIO laptop that came with Vista 32 bit and went from 7 Home Premium 32 bit.  I connect to the internet via my Ethernet via a DSL modem with no problems.  When I try to use the edge Intel 4965AGN wireless to connect to my DLink 655 Wireless N Gigabit router, it appears that it connects to the network, but there is no internet connection.  Both the router and the edge Intel have the latest drivers and the encryption is set on AES, WPA2-Personal.  Some additional information:

I have desktop computer Dell with a DLink USB WiFi and it connects to the network and gets internet

I constantly get the message from Windows saying: Windows has detected an IP address conflict with another computer on the network.  I restarted the router several times to no effect.

In network and sharing Center (of course the troubleshooting network said he found nothing) the network appears as a Public and unidentified and it gives me no option to change it to a home network.

I tried to connect to other networks public wireless (hotspots) and I can't connect it

    Autoconfiguration IPv4 address: 192.168.0.1

    IPv4 default gateway:

This 169.254.1 52.88 is the IP by default Windows assigns when there is no DHCP server, this isn't a working IP address.

The second IP address is the IP address of the Wired card. That is why router conflicted reports.

Configure the two cards for full Auto obtain IP and DNS.

Then do a WinSock and TCP/IP updating.

Type Cmd in the search text box.

Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run a command as administrator prompt.  Allow the elevation.

Type netsh winsock reset at the command prompt and press the Enter key.

Do the same process to refresh the TCP/IP just replace the command typed with.

Gys help me... i have tried all my knowledge on the networks to clear it but every thing in vain... I sure u there is no problem with my modem...

It is not your computer that's recently published Microsoft updates.  Mine did the same thing. I had to restore to a previous point and everything works as before.  I can't believe that Microsoft is actually telling people it's a problem with their computers when obviously this post proves how FALSE it is. Your computer is practically new!

They will have to OWN up to their mistake and release a patch.
