  You're right; There are a large number of items on this page.  You may be able to refine things if you enter your full product number, but if not, here are some general indications:

  • Start by "Driver - Chipset" and use "9.1.0.1007 a (January 16, 2009).»

  • Then go to "Driver - keyboard, mouse and input devices."  Install the Synaptics Touchpad driver and one for the HP Quick Launch buttons.

  At this point, most of your hardware should work correctly.  If there is always warning icons in Device Manager, you should be able to understand... or ask again here.  Read the 'Description' for other downloads to see if this is something you want or need.  Be aware, however, that many "Software" downloads are only updates or patches and not the complete package (which probably would have been preinstalled on a new computer.

  If you still have problems with the flash player and this file, the only other suggestion I can offer would be to burn the file to a CD and run the executable file I've first validated from the CD or transfer the 2nd file I posted from the CD to the hard drive, or find the driver on the CD folder.

  I just loaded xp on old stepson 8300 dell dimension. I fell on the dell.com site to get the necessary drivers. got what I thought was good. still not bring online. always to see "?" for "other devices" for ethernet, multimedia and a few others. This produced a few years ago the last time the hard drive went (gee, they don't last long, do?) but I'll be if I remember what I did. I know that I had a hard time then, too, but I also spent a lot of time, I did not now. Help!

  Hi, I'm a big user of PC, but don't really know anything about them, my husband bought me a Tecra, which I tried to connect using the new Netgear router cable to my second hand pc, (I am a user of NTL) all systems are looking good and it says its connected, but all that appears is can not find the server! IM obviously something wrong. Is it everything I need for my Tecra? I have a wireless adapter as well - do I need a card slot wireless network? I'm really confused!   First of all it will be interesting to know if you have the same problem with other PC connected to your router or simply with your laptop Tecra. I guess you use LAN connectivity and want sign Tecra Netgear router.

  I hope that your router is just configured, then set it to PPPoE (dynamic connection type) and you don't have fixed IP address. Check please LAN properties and do not forget that in the properties TCP/IP IP address should be set to obtain an IP address automatically.

  Please also check the State of LAN card in Device Manager and do not forget the network card is installed correctly, listed and also allowed. Please go to control panel > network connections, click with the right button of the mouse by connecting to the Local network and check the STATUS. What is shown here?

  If you have the wireless network card you can also establish WIFI connection but this is another theme.

  The hard drive is generally controlled by the motherboard chipset and if drivers "SATA" or "IDE" (newer models use SATA, laptops more old IDE drivers) in the list.
