Cannot get windows 10 app upgrade to run

Hello

I have a portable extensible original and active running windows 7 Home premium and I cannot get windows 10 app to run.

In addition, potential interest that I got a windows error update on the module "upgrade to Windows 10".

  • Cannot get Windows 10

I can't get Windows 10 even start - I get a screen with a circle going round - not very technology of mind, but thought I would get more than that! Please help - Cheers

    Try to upgrade manually:

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

  • Caught a virus. Want to just erase the HD and reinstall. Cannot get Windows original XP discs do. Help?

Click son on some site that I can download a Trojan horse.  Disabled Malwarebytes and AVG update did not find. Saved that I need and now want to erase the hd and reinstall.  Cannot get computer to read what whatsoever. I myself once in safe mode, but now it tells me that it cannot find a hard disk.  I can refer to boot from the CD drive, but it gives me a blue screen error "cannot find a hard disk. Any help?

Your computer most likely has SATA drive and the Windows XP installation disc does not include the SATA controller drivers so Setup can not 'see' the hard drive.  You have several options:

    1. to detect the drive, you must use the F6 method to provide the drivers of controller for the installation program, note that when you use the F6 method, the pilots MUST be provided on a diskette, the installation program will not accept the drivers from other media sources.

Adding third-party or updated during the installation of Windows driver
Mass storage drivers and the Setup process

    2. you can integrate the drivers into your installation CD:

    http://search.Yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oG7nPuhZFO4ikAUghXNyoA?p=slipstream+F6+SATA+drivers&FR2=SFP&FR=YFP-t-501&type_param=

    3. you can go into the BIOS and change the SATA controller in IDE mode and the Windows Installer will be able to detect the drive.  Most of the BIOS have this option is available, if you don't you will need to use option 1 or 2 above.

  • try reinstalling - cannot get Windows XP drivers working but material out Linux LiveCD work

After having picked up some malware on microtour DX7300 of my wife, I decided to reformat the disk and reinstall.  For years and do not have a copy of the diskette of HP recovery that was created when we arrived first of all the computer.

I have a copy of Windows XP Pro, installed in such a way that very well.  Device Manager is reported the driver problems with a large part of the devices as ethernet controller, audio, video etc.  I guess I can install most of the people afterwards, except the network/ethernet because I need, obviously, to connect to the internet.  Would have hoped that these devices are plug n play, but apparently not.

I used a Ubuntu LiveCD to connect to internet.  So I know the network interface hardware works, and even audio and video resolution were out of the LiveCD.

Found the drivers on this site:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3251397&...

Those downloaded across the network.  In reading the DX7300, it is clear to me if the network card is the Broadcomm one or Intel.  Rebooted WinXP, I tried installing the Intel driver, got an error message no Intel device not found.  So I guess that's the Broadcomm one.  This driver, installation actually installed.  However, even after a reboot the network device does not work and presents itself as an error in the Device Manager.

Thought I'd try to manually install the drivers by pointing "drivers" unpacked in the directory of installation above.  Windows indicated that the correct drivers were not found there.

I'm at one end.  The material seems to work under linux, but cannot get the win to install the drivers.  Advice or help appreciated.

    Hello:

This is exactly what I need.

First install the Chipset driver and reboot:

  • Cannot update Windows 7 with upgrade of Windows 8 so that I've already paid.

Earlier, I bought a Windows 8 Pro upgrade. Recently, I rebuilt my computer by using the Windows 7 installer that came with the PC (Home Premium). I now turn to the 8 Pro window using the key that I've already paid for.

When I use the Updgrade Wizard of Windows 8, it tells me that Windows 8 is not available in my area.

When I use the Windows 8.1 Upgrade Wizard, he asks me if I want to pay $100 + for win 8.1 or nearly $200 to win 8.1 Pro.

I want just to get my upgrade product key I bought already and get my life back.

Anyone know how I might be able to do this?

Thank you, Jayant Gupta, but none of the suggestions worked.

What I ended up doing was downloading a copy of Windows 8 on MSDN developers and this website accepted my installation key during an upgrade to windows 7.

So now I have an authentic installation of Windows 8 Pro and after a few rounds of updates to get to 8.1, I'll be all ready for 10.

    Thanks again.
