cannot initialize applicaton

I recently bought simcity societies deluxe edition and it does not start. When I try to start the game, a box comes up with a Red Cross and wrote "the application could not initialize properly (0xc0150004). Click OK to close the application. "The computer I have is a new Dell Inspiron 545 with Windows Vista Home Premium service pack 2, 32-bit operating system. It brings together all the technical features. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 2.80 GHz. 4 GB of RAM. 550, gig hard drive. 512 mb ATI Radeon 4350HD. 16 speed DVD - ROM drive. X 10 live. I've updated to Windows, but did not help.  Ive looked and looked for answers, but none came. Can you please help me.

Hello duckyboy117, welcome.

There are a few things I want to try to limit the possibilities. After each step, try and run the game to see if it solves the problem:

1. close from any virtual drive software. Some EA games does not work well side-by-side with virtual drive software.

2. update of SimCity Societies to the latest version. The link is below, read carefully as what may or may not relate to you if you have the Delux edition:

http://simcitysocieties.EA.com/updates/details.php

3. put to update to the latest drivers from the ATIs site video card. Below is the link to your card.

https://a248.e.Akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ATI.com/drivers/9-6_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe

4. download and install the latest version of .NET framework. The link is below:

http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4e35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en

5. download and install the latest files from Visual C ++ Runtime. The link is below:

http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&displaylang=en

6. try to force the application runs in mode "DirectX 9". The steps are below:

a. find or create a new shortcut to the game.
b. right click on the shortcut, select "Properties".
c. click on the "shortcut" tab at the top if it is not already selected
d. in the "Target Field" box, move to the end of the box after the "mark, put a space and add - dx9

An example looks like this:

"C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"-dx9

e. click the button 'Apply' at the bottom
f. click on the 'OK' button at the bottom

If these steps don't solve your problem, more I contact EA technical support team or simply try and re-install the application. EA may have a few more for you to try.

Certainly let us know whatever it is,.

Thank you!

Original title: I think I have an outbreak or "pulsed" windows.

It is really difficult to use list drop-down windows because the impulse you kicked out of the window. Even close you have to be really quick to hit the off button usually you have to be very fast and catch the window open. I checked for viruses and found zero with PCcillan. When it closes down you get SVChost.exe cannot initialize at least 6 to 10 times. I tried to restore the system in January when he was not that, but it does not load a restore. Any ideas?

In the contrary case, the laptop works very well and has no code error or another problem!

    Hey Mustangrh68,

Reading your question, I could find a thread that I think will be very useful for you, he explains that the rootkit virus are prone to files to effect similar to your question:

  • cannot initialize application

Hello. This is my first post, so please, be gentle. I am trying to install a program (Cloud 9). It has installation and two Cloud 9V2 files.

It seems to install, but then when I try to run it I get this message "cannot initialize application. Error 42. Please try a right click and choose "run as administrator. If the problem persists contact technical support"

I have been informed by the software company another Vista user sent this response "response was to change the properties of the application and define as compatible XP in administrator mode.

I have only one account and that I created on instalation. It is labeled as an administrator. I guess that I am logged as administrator by default. When I right click on the program files there is no option to make the xp compatible software (no compatibility tab). When I right click on the installed software there is no option to run as administrator.

I sought help for XP compatible and found a link to the program compatibility Wizard. I have run the wizard, select the Cloud9V2Setup file, slected XP like compatibility mode, all left the options display controlled, checked the run as administrator and proceeded to the instalation. The same problem and the error message will occur.

I posted this question here because the options do not appear to be described as if I'm the administrator, so I wonder if there is something I missed on the administrator mode.

I hope someone can help. Jane. x

This error started to appear a few days before, before that, everything was normal, and users could connect to the webcenter portal group for membership and get the OID and the privileges of JPS LDAP store.

Servers werer started first, using Nodemanager script to start the server administration, and after that the administrator of the booted server, console weblogic was used to start managed servers.

Is there a way to debug the JPS Store initialization?

    Hello Amey

The indicator for OAM ID Asserter is required for single sign on functionality, whatever it is, the problem, seems to be communication with the DNS server, which makes a delay that could be verified using traceroute and ping commands.

This delay caused the connection failure to the OID server during initialization of JPS.

As a solution, thefully qualified hostname to OID server has been configured manually to the file/etc/hosts. After this change, JPS can be initialized correctly.

Howerver, that the log shows no time-out or any other exception during the initialziation, making diagnosis difficult to obtain.

    Thanks for your help.

This behavior also affects SOA managed server and managed servers of the WebCenter Portal

The servers were turned on in the right order, the first Management Server, then content managed server

Is there a way to diagnose the reason why JPS security provider cannot be initialized?

The problem seems to play with communication with the DNS server, which makes it a delay on the resolution for entry to the OID server host name, this could be verified using traceroute and ping commands.

This delay caused the connection failure to the OID server during initialization of JPS.

As a solution, fully qualified for OID server host name has been configured manually to the file/etc/hosts. After this change, JPS can be initialized correctly.

Howerver, that the log shows no time-out or any other exception during the initialziation, making diagnosis difficult to obtain.

"lsass.exe application error the application failed to initialize (0xc0000005)", on a XP Pro Dell desktop computer.

I read all the answers to this problem.
    He left me confused.
I'm not a guru of the PC (fair mainframes)
    I'm from the old school.
I want to just fix this problem after trying all the F8 approach.
I'm about to pay someone for everything again with a wipe HD and install OS up tp SP3.

Or... I can jump to the 'other side' in total! (My son has never such problems with its Apple/Mac but only complained not enough software and comes to me so that he cannot find solutions.)

I have studied this XP - OS on a Dell computer for a few days and now know enough to be dangerous.

In addition, this problem appeared after you apply a few serious fixes MS?

I don't know yet how to get the BIOS.  I'm not yet technically strong (but necessarily be).

How can I download necessary patches with a white screen?

I have never tried a reinstall of XP.

    I have the following CD:
    * Reinstallation CD MS Win XP Home Edition (SP1 included)
    (Currently up to SP3)
    * Application: To reinstall Dell Tools System Software
    * Dell Dimension Resource CD

Dell has 2 partitions: C:\ (the system, Windows software, etc.) and D:\ (all my data, etc.)

So... There you have it.   And, of course, would sincerely appreciate your help.

And Yes... I am committed to give once I have something to give back.

It's great to have someone on "this side of the fence!   (my son is still laughing - %^$#@!)

    trikericy,
Unfortunately, there are several things that can cause this problem, including viruses.  Usually by pressing F2 when a Dell system is powered, you will have it in the BIOS.  But you may need to check with Dell for your specific model.

If you are able to boot from reinstall drive and enter the Recovery Console, you can run the following commands to see if they will help to clarify this.

    Chkdsk /r

    sfc/scannow

If the recovery disc provided does not offer the console recovery or these elements do not disable upward, then you can perform a factory restore to reload Windows.  You will need to check with Dell on recovery options they offer.  However, since you have 2 drives, it looks like all your data will be safe and it is only a matter of reinstalling programs.  If you do a factory restore, then I suggest updating Windows before reinstalling applications.

    Hope this helps out.

  • cannot initialize hyper-v host

    Hello

I have a new installation of Windows server R2 2012 with all the updates and vWorkspace 8.6.309.

I added the hyper-v host and the CB (same server) and when I try to initialize the host I get the following error:

Remote computer returned error processing message. The system cannot find the specified file (-2147024594) parameter to accommodate offline

    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Tamas

    Hi Tamas,

    This is Andrew from Dell.

We do not support having the role of Broker for connections installed directly on the server HyperV.

Please create a virtual computer on the HyperV server and install the role of Broker for connections on this VM.

Then you should be able to initialize the HyperV server without any problems.

    Thank you, Andrew.

  • Any new aid for the standard bug 'Installer cannot initialize' for CS6?

I can't install CS6 because "Setup could not initialize".

This is a very common mistake, and I think I've read suggestions how to overcome the problem.

    especially this one:

    1. Uninstall CS6

    2. apply the Adobe CC cleaning tool

    3 reinstall CS6

It isn't even a log file.

I had already installed CS2. Uninstalling CS2 and CS6 relocation do not work either.

Fragments of CS2 are not affected by the CC cleaning tool.

I tried the CD version and the version you downloaded.

On the PC with Windows XP, all facilities have been properly implemented.

    Where to look (examples):

The PDApp.log log file is not where it should be, but in the temp folder (accessible from %temp%).

    He told me:

Old content detected in USF tries to remove...

    Cannot remove

An Internet search by "former content in USF" lead to this discussion with Adobe staff people.

especially Mr.Jeff has Wright, who seems to be very useful:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/988925?start=0&TSTART=0

Here, we have such a log file.

    Solution

Activate the preinstalled ' guest' account.

    Start Windows as a guest.

Unfortunately the Office looks terrible (standard windows)

Find the CD drive and start the installation of the CS6.

This method works as well offline (Activation within 7 days later).

When you are done restart as long as the previous user.

    Create icons to monitor.

    Disable the guest account.

    Turn it back on.

It seems, Adobe wants to protect me against the abuse of my own computer...
