Repair the hard drive or erase the disk.

Reinstall OS X or reinstall OS X from scratch.

    My network before was "doodle" so I go to the networks and no "doodle" is listed as an option.

    SO weird because I am connected to the router and my SSID, (information on WEP-TKIP), and the password was changed.

    WHY, I have no idea.  good thing I copied what each item was listed as a few months because I got that info again and I connected.

    So I suggest ea person notice your settings in your router so that you know if somet; Hing changed with or without your permission.

    The fixed. There was a site called activated phantom fv-000-http causing trouble. I deleted it, restarted apache and now http://localhost/admin redirects to https://localhost/admin.

    Today I faced with the same Windows Update problems as many people - with KB2760411 and KB2760588 constantly reinstall - and try to resolve which included several reboots - system

    BUT now... a serious problem on one of these machines: cannot access SQL Server!
    Fortunately, I did not run these updates on any * production * machines (I do updates on development machines, first) - this is a development machine - but I still need to get working SQL Server of this machine!

    I tried to use a Windows login to connect and tried to use a SQL Server to connect user, and what it in either, looks like the same message:
    "Cannot connect to ."
    A network-related or instance-specific error all by establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server is not found or inaccessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, error: 2)

    Note that for windows, this server running Server 2003 (this is why I chose the value of the drop down menu 'windows xp', below).
    and for sql server, run SQL Server 2005.

    Help!?

    ALSO NOTE: I KNOW THIS ISN'T A "NETWORK ERROR."
    because I get the same message when I remote desktop on the server and try it.
    I did try to look in the windows Server 2003 event viewer, but saw nothing relevant under the security, system or Application.

    Software file download from hp.com and starts to install fine - but give up without error at the point of the "application of updates" message after the initial start - I can connect to the ok of the printer via a USB port and can be seen in the devices Printers & - but I want to install the complete functionality to get wireless working and use the HP Solution Center - I have other PC connected on the same network access to the same printer that works perfectly fine wirelesly and with the Solution Center installed ok.

    First of all, be sure to disconnect all connected USB printer.

    Enter the control panel > devices and printers.

    Right click any icon of your printer list, then click on remove the device and restart your PC.

    Launch once installation, follow the steps until the license agreement is displayed.

    Click the link 2 - use of the Internet connection and make sure that both mark as No, thank you.

    Approve any screen, accept the license agreement and continue the installation.

    I have the same problem as you did.  Did you find the drivers on the xp installation cd?  I have tried and may not consider the content of the cd, all is well in the list, allowing you to install.

    Any additional help by anyone would be appreciated.
