Cannot install driver WIFI on my Satellite Pro DR L850-1
I installed windows 7 64 bit on my Toshiba Satellite Pro DR L850-1 by making the new partition which formats the hard drive.
After installation I was expecting windows 7 will find the drivers from internet or if not I'll download them from Toshiba Web site.
I downloaded and installed all the drivers from the LAN and WLAN drivers first.
All the other drivers installed perfectly and their respective hardware works fine, but the WLAN Atheros driver that does not install the Setup program does not start and I tried all means known to me or I can find on the internet to install it.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Generally after a clean OS install, you should start with the chipset driver, display driver, driver sound and so on.
Have you installed driver chipset before you tried to install the WLAN driver?
By the way: you try to install this driver from the Toshiba download page?
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1N2 PSAE3E and I don't want Vista on my laptop. I downgraded the bios to V5.30 but still cannot install windows xp and there is still no optin for SATA in the bios.
Can someone help me?
Did you install the SATA drivers first?
You need this driver to recognize the HARD drive!
You must download the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. You should find it on the page of the Toshiba driver or the Intel Web site.
You must perform the installation of an external USB FDD drive using the F6 key during the installation of Win XP.
I have been using Windows 7 on my Toshiba Satellite Pro L450D-12 X. But because he of been running very slow, I decided to put windows xp on it.
So I put the drive in a two set windows xp and when he gets two the part were I need to press on enter, a blue screen comes on. I checked the laptop and its all ok, I even took the HD set windows xp upwards with her on some pc and it works fine.
But as soon as I put the HD in my laptop it won t charge up are anything... IF anyone can help me with this, it will be a great help.
Thank you very much for taking the time to two read this.
At first, I must say that your laptop is designed for Win7 and maybe you should continue to use Win7. Problem is that laptop with the factory settings is quite slow but it can be changed. What you need is to optimize Win7 preinstalled. Check out this forum and you will find many threads with good description and detailed what we can do about it.
According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with WIN7 32 BIT PROFESSIONAL & XP DVD.
You have problems when you try to use this DVD WXP that you got with your laptop?
I installed Windows XP on a Satellite A100 - 289 PSAA9E, but I can not install the network and WLAN page driver drivers.
I always get the message that no driver regrets were found (I manually chose the directory with the downloaded drivers)
Can someone help me?
Where can I get the right drivers network controller vor and WLAN card?
As much as I know Sam A100 PSAA9E series supports Intel 3945ABG wireless card and also an Intel LAN card.
Driver WLAN can be found here:
On the European driver Toshiba page I could find drivers for Satellite A100 PSAA9E series.
But note; You must choose the Archive in the type of product because it old series.
There are two different LAN drivers;
-LAN driver v 9.2.24 for Ethernet Pro1000
-LAN driver v 184.108.40.206 for Ethernet Pro100
In order to check both!
I change my Satellite A100 - 036 operating system for Windows XP SP2 home edition and the ethernet controller not installed it.
I downloaded almost all the LAN driver on the Web from Toshiba site and it will not install.
Someone help me pls?
The BIOS must be updated to version XP!
And the LAN driver must be installed from the Device Manager!
I have a Satellite C660 - 1 x 4, PSC1NE. There only 3 months, I had a problem with the hard drive, the authorized service had replaced the hard drive and now I just reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit I saved all the correct drivers from the site on a memory stick and it is not the first time when I install the drivers same myself but now after returned to service Wireless LAN works fine but I can't install the driver of LAN.
I don't really know what to do more...
If I understand the new HARD drive, you have installed the version of Windows own and dot you want to use the original OS that you got with your laptop. Is this correct?
You try to install this driver?
What happen when you try to install the LAN driver?
I was hoping I could find help on these forums. I hope I posted this in the right place.
There is, Windows Vista is crazy on one of my laptops, and I wanted to install XP. (No, you can't laugh at me). I have XP Pro SP3 disk.
Although even the recovery agent that Toshiba has on all of its portable computers computers could not solve these problems, I had. I put the XP Pro Sp3 disk in the CARPET * A DVD-RAM UJ880AS drive, hoping to use the formatting on it, so he let me install XP as Microsoft/Windows made it impossible to return. In any case, the formatting went all well and then just install came with billions of mistakes.
I currently have a Ubuntu Live CD running on it to make it actually DO something, and its working fine. But I want really bad XP on it.
I think that the issue could be a DEFECTIVE SECTORS on the HARD disk.
I need help and input.
I buy a new HARD drive and hope that installation work? Buy a new laptop?
Your help is appreciated like you wouldn t believe. This has been driving me crazy for centuries.
(1) check if your CD has no scratches.
(2) make sure that the DVD player lens is clean (dust). Otherwise, perform a cleaning operation using the stick of hydrophilic cotton and alcohol (make it very accurate and avoid making any what micro scratches).
(3) back up all data from all partitions. Then start a new installation of Windows XP. In the settings, delete all your existing partitions (make sure, after that you have ONLY space unpartitioned) and then create new partitions to default size. Format these partitions in NTFS (fast) mode. Finally, install the system on the C partition.
Good luck to you and keep posting your progress.
I have a problem with my wireless card drivers. I downloaded the correct drivers (Realtek WLAN drivers for windows 7) and when I try to install, Windows install doesn't work and nothing happens. Can someone help me?
Sorry for my English, I'm from the Poland.
Your laptop has card Atheros WLAN and LAN Realtek card then please download driver Atheros WLAN. You can find it on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/ Portal Toshiba WLAN
I checked the specifications of the laptop and it says that your mobile phone is offered without BONES.
If you need help with the operating system, drivers, and installation of the specific tools of Toshiba let us know.

I hope someone can help me with this, Google has not been good for me
I wonder why you were able to install the Catalyst Control Center and not the INF ;)
Hmmm in my opinion, the driver is ok, but the installation failed!
You have unpacked all the files correctly ;)
In the first step, I would recommend uninstalling the software graphical overview.
After restarting again, you can try to reinstall again!
By the way; AFAIK the A100-169 has been delivered with the graphic driver for ATI MOBILITY RADEON X 1600. I wonder why the information about the hardware reports the name ATI Mobility Radeon X 1400
Someone at - he already connect a wifi on a Satellite Pro (W98) card? Please let me know the type of PCMCIA, etc... You can also the wired connection to the local network.
As far as I know, you can use any PCMCIA WiFi card types on your device.
Sometimes, you have to install drivers or utilities from PCMICIA Wireless card manufacturers. Please check out some Web sites in Google. You can find many attractive offers for WiFi cards.
I'm Italian so my English is not very well :)
I installed XP on my toshiba Satellite Pro A200 - 15G.
I searched the display driver for this model of laptop computer this toshiba site, but I can't find it.
Where can I find it?
Oh, another thing: I installed xp without updating the bios for xp... need to be updated?
Last thing (for buyers of a satellite/satellite pro a series): what is the battery life of your laptop (in different modes and various SO)?
If you need a display driver then go here:
or especially for ATI cards, you can go here:
About the BIOS: Yes, if you want a few things on your machine working properly then please update your BIOS to version XP.
HM, duration of life battery... must be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours
But I don't know, it depends for so much.
Cannot install adobe flash player on macbook pro. Setup automatically runs through Matlab as default program. What should do?
I don't really know what is "MatLab", or the ".mdlp" suffix, or why it is added.
What is the file size of the downloaded install_flash_player_11_osx.dmg.mdlp file? It should be 18,005,202 bytes.
If which is, I would try to simply rename the file (removing the suffix ".mdlp"), then try running it.
I have a problem with the upgrade of my Satellite Pro A120 PSAC1 - 10l with Windows Vista Professional on this topic. I want to install the display driver Intels 126.96.36.1997 I downloaded the Toshibas site. It was written that this driver is my gm945 chipset.
When I try to lunch the installation it says that: my computer does not respond with the minimum req for the installation of the software. Even in the Readme file, it is said that it is for my computer. Help me with this!
You are right. The Satellite Pro A120 PSAC1E seems to be equipped with the Intel 945 GM Express Chipset graphics card chipsets.
I checked the page of the Toshiba driver and found another; Intel 188.8.131.527 driver version.
Please check if this version can be installed correctly on your system.
Driver installation went well after a clean install. I was not aware of any special settings or any need to install some drivers in the order. So maybe I did not just something.
I noticed that there was no WiFi service. I have downloaded and run the file 0zwl03ww.exe, which is listed as driver WiFi Intel for Win 7 32/64. I got a message saying that something could have trouble with the installation. So I chose rerun. Asked me if I wanted to replace an existing file. I said "Yes to all". The result was a message saying "access denied." Later, there was still no WiFi and no WiFi service pilot shown in Device Manager.
I restarted the PC, hoping it would help. Still no WiFi and no shown in Device Manager.
I looked at the folder C:\Drivers containing the driver files and subdirectories. I removed those and tried to delete the folder. I didn't have the right to do. I checked the security settings on the folder and showed a red X with a message saying that the security settings are not available.
When I try to reinstall the driver, I get the same results reported (files to be replaced), but no files are displayed in Windows Explorer in this folder.
I tried to restore the original file to the Recycle Bin. Restoration happened, but now the files are gone.
There is another pilot provided for Liteon & CyberTan; This doesn't seem to be the right driver.
If the PC is running, LAN, internet cable OK - but I'm stuck with no WiFi. Can anyone help? Thank you!
I found and ran a setup.exe for Win7 inside the extracted folder. I went through the typical installation of choice routine and told me "The Intel ProSet Wireless WLAN software Setup Wizard ended prematurely" with no further explanation given.
I just bought a TOSHIBA SATELLITE PRO C50, that came with Windows 7 pre-installed.
When you start the system for the first time, I simply close and put Windows 8.1 media into the optical drive (disc 1 of 4) then entered the Recovery Wizard and may have chosen the wrong option, because I completely erase the hard drive and partitions.
Now that I did it, I can't find how to install the Windows Media Pro 4 DVD provided 8.1. I can't find the correct option to do this. I changed the startup option in the control panel by pressing F2 at startup, so it reads from the DVD player. The DVD starts but then takes me into a recovery area of the system, which is not good as I wiped the system completely.
How can I just now to install the Pro 8.1 provided Windows on the clean system right now?
Thanks for any advice.
First, I would like to know what model of laptop you have exactly. If possible, please report the entire model number (C50-xxxxx). I just want to check the specification for this model of laptop.
Did you buy this laptop as any new product and model in box?
Anyway, if you have installation discs original recovery for this, you should be able to install it without problems. Start your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu. This menu wil shown on the screen, insert disc 1 into the optical disk drive, choose the CD/DVD drive from the menu, and then press ENTER.
ODD must start reading Wizard disk / recovery will be shown o the screen. Choose the option to install out-of-box / factory settings and just follow menu on the screen.
