  Printer navigate through the Setup menu using the left and right arrows and locate the Service menu.

  Search for HP Smart Install option in the Service menu (it may appear and may not be no depanding on the version of your printer), if it is there, select Disable for HP Scmart Install.

  Try this procedure and see if it works...

  You will have to contact HP support for your region. They should be able to access the control system to get an idea of what happened in the order.   1. Click Start > Printers and devices , and then
  2. Click Add a printer . then,
  3. Click on an Add a local printer > Next , then
  4. Click on create a new port: , select the"Port TCP/IP Standard, then THEN .
  5. type the ip address of printers under the host name or IP address 192.168.1.101 and click NEXT
  6. of the "list of manufacturers :, select HP and select"Printers"list"HP Deskjet 6980 series "and click on"
  7. NEXT
  8. Complete the wizard.
  9. Disconnect the USB cable between the printer and the computer

  Then try to print.

  I put the installation CD.  I find my printer and then try to install the software and drivers.  When I click on the 'Install' button, nothing happens.  I click on it repeatedly, and the program goes.  This happens again and again.  I tried to copy the installer on my computer and it works; same thing is happening.  I tried to download the drivers from the HP site, and the same thing happens.  I am ready to return this thing.  I tried emailing technical support, but the form is broken.   I just formatted my new M6700 (remove the oem & such other partition). I installed windows 7 pro from the CD provided by dell, then downloaded & installed the drivers from dell support using my service tag.

  Problem, NVidia drivers refuse to install, saying that something as there is no compatible hardware. Version of the Dell 296.79, A00. I tried the latest film from the official NVidia site, 305.93 WHQL version. Same answer. Tried the version 32 b, of course, it did not work... I tried to uninstall default windows via a retry Device Manager, nothing. I allowed windows to browse the internet, he found something that removed the "yellow"! in the Device Manager without resolving anything, games or double screen still does not work.

  So, I'm a lost here. Any advice?
