Cannot install hard disk Portable Toshiba on HP20 - 2105A

I bought a Toshiba 1 TB USB 3.0 portable hard drive (model No. DTB310) and when I plug the USB 3.0 cable, the computer shows that the folder is empty, i.e. There is no setup.exe file. I use a HP20 - 2105A with 8.1-64-bit Windows computer (bought in September 2014). I have 5 USB ports, but am not sure that this model has ports 2.0 or 3.0 and have tried them all with zilch response. Any ideas, or if I blew $79?

Nanhein, you have been very helpful for me. I have now downloadedAEMEI Backupper Standard Edition 2.1.0 and made a backup of the system on the portable player, Toshiba model DTB-310.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Anyone know how I can fix this problem and can help me. ?

Sometimes the HDD IDMS2 failure is transient (heads of disc may get out of sync prolonged usage without counters). If this is the case then you can pull the blade from the chassis (only the way to actually turn off the hard drive), wait 30 minutes and then reinstall the blade and try again. If that's not enough then the hard drive has permanent damage, so you will need to contact Cisco TAC and ask them of RMA of the blade.

  • Windows recognizes but cannot install the disk usb 2.0 external hard

I ran completely out of disk space and was given a 500 GB external hard drive... made by WD... a passport to be exact. He has been recognized for a long time with the wizard and then announced that he has no idea of what is material, nor has an idea on how to install it and to return the element where bought... I did... brought a new one and exactly the same thing... people say it's because of the usb port not fast enough... I feel there is another way around this as other elements usb 2.0 have no problem... any help is appreciated more graciously!

  • Satellite Pro M70 - cannot install the Driver of Toshiba Power Saver

Hi, I can not install driver of toshiba power saver on my laptop because instalation crashes with error 1610: the configuration data for this product are damaged. Please contact the support staff. I tried several versions of driver of standby power. I received the latest official chipset driver... Someone knows how to fix this?

My second problem is with the battery, my laptop running on battery max 10 minutes (I have my laptop for 2 years) and I often force using battery power. Battery can lose so much capacity in 2 years even if I used for my battery once a week?

Sorry for the English and thx for answer

I think that you should not install this driver, the only saving electricity only.
What about the battery? In my opinion, it is possible. In my opinion, the duration of battery life cannot be defined so easy.
Some batteries perform well after 3 years of use, and some of them are dead after only a year.

  • Cannot remove HARD disk configuration PERC 6i with use of the SAS drives foreign. Existing data are not important. Scratch reloading to redeploy the server.

Dell Poweredge 2950 III with serial number note from the Admin: have the label removed according to the TOU > receipt readers traded since an identical poweredge almost eliminated. In the configuration of the PERC controller 0 6i utility, disk groups show as foreigners. Messages following the procedure to import the configuration, then remove before was not effective. The prior configuration appears in the menu.

I would like to simply clean configurations of VD for the readers and the controller. After it is deleted then next step is to set up a configuration I want. My new Setup is not relevant for this post. The goal and the only question is how to clear existing shared disk configurations.

VD0 clear addition to figure 2 SAS PD/hard drives as virtual disk unique. RAID levels 0, status is offline, SMART status not = no error, County VD = 1, PD = 2 count, operation = none

    Is a similar to VD0 VD1

    other berries are currently empty.

For initial troubleshooting I have removed all the HARD drive except a single disk on the server. This disc shows also as stranger.

In the PERC 6i config utility:

VD MGMT doesn't show CONTROLLER0 - no configuration is present. Choice of the F2 are Config. Foreign config based on availability. (Create new VD and manage preserved Cache are greyed out) Right pane of the screen indicates "foreign Config present, controller prop.: DG = 0, County VD count = 0, County of PD = 1".

PD MGMT shows only the formatted Mo 139 K SAS single, foreign = State, SMART status not is no mistake, operation = none

VIEW FOREIGNERS shows DG0 = foreign, Virtual disk 255 with DG count = 1. County of VD = 1, County of PD = 1

I installed 3 of the disks individually rotating as a single HARD drive with similar results.

WITH 2 HDD SAS installed only difference is VD Mgmt shows County DG = 0, County VD = 0, County of PD = 2.   View foreign shows VD255 prop: Raid 0, Raid = foreign status, size = na, operation = none. | Disk prop group. : VD Count = 1, County of PD = 2, Ded HS = 0 (because it does not exist).

Thanks Chris. Problem is solved. I would like to Flash the firmware as precautionary measure? Still confused why initial in the VD Mgmt tab procedure has failed.

    2. it is always important to know what model of laptop you have due to the configuration of the software (maybe is a Toshiba BT software already preinstalled on your device). Check in Add and remove programs in the control panel.

Anyone know how much it would be easy to upgrade my 40 GB hard drive? Ive bought a 80 GB (model MK8025GAS number) and don't really know where to start.

    Hello

Open the covers on the bottom of the laptop. If you can get access to the disk in this way, then you can easily replace. But otherwise, it is best to let it be performed by a technician because you must remove half of the laptop.

  • Cannot install CS5 disk

I can't install Photoshop CS5 because installation asks me to insert the disc of CS5, but it alreay is inserted.  This is after you enter the serial number and signature to.

You can click or double-click the configuration file.

or if you follow the 7 steps, you can download a trial through one of the links on this page using a browser that accepts cookies: http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html

and activate it with your serial number.

If you have a problem downloading, you don't follow all 7 steps.  as a general rule, do not carefully follow steps 1, 2 or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies (a setting of restrictive browser) is another potential source of problems.

Clearly it took me by surprise. What was supposed to be a cut to white erase and reinstall now me baffled and angry. Formats the HDD of the solution? If so why didn't not the usefulness of lenovo do... If not, what is the problem? Someone help pls

    Welcome to the forum!

Go into the BIOS (F1 at startup), set the "compatible" SATA mode (NO AHCI), then press F10 to save and exit, and you should be all set.

    Good luck.

  • Cannot install Windows on disk 0 partition 1

Hi, I replaced my hard drive on my laptop, the new hard drive is empty and I want to install windows 7 on it, but I get the error windows cannot install on disk 0 partition 1, I can't format, install windows on it or anything.

If the two different versions of window will not complete a format, your hard drive is "defective".

    You should check that:

    (1) the hard drive can be used for a Windows startup disk.  Generally hard less than 2 TB can be used properly.

    (2) find the hard drive diagnostic tests, the hard training web site of the manufacturer and follow the signs to test your hard drive.

    3) search your computer / web site of the manufacturer of the motherboard for a BIOS update.  There could be a 'solution' that could fix your current problem.

You can buy a new drive hard so as to "bypass" the 'steps' to solve the problems of hard drive.

  • Failure SMART hard disk with Satellite M30X

A problem with my hard drive has suddenly popped up. Whenever I try to start the computer, the following message appears:
SMART failure provided on hard disk 0: toshiba mk6025GAS-(PM) WARNING: immediately back up your data and replace your hard drive. A failure may be imminent, press f1 to continue...

When I press f1 it just shows the window of windows xp with a black background and stays like that.

So, today, that I inserted dvd products recovery, which took about 3 hours to restart. Once this is done, I could go to the windows menu start and tried checking errors c drive of my computer. To be able to do that I had to reboot the computer.

When the computer has restarted the same error message above SMART failure predicted etc. had sprung up again. After pressing f1 computer started chkdsk. When he reached 4/5 which was chkdsk varifying data file he said a cluster of file message replaced 5518 name pagerfile/sys and just froze.

I manually restarted the computer and when I went at the start menu windows an other error message pops up saying: windows could not save the data for the file c:\ data has been lost. This error may be due to your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

Finally I tried to restart the computer once more and a blue screen dark this time appeared saying something in the sense of: it has detected a problem with your hard drive and it may have been caused in what concerns some hardware and something in the message was referring to the BIOS.

I buy a new battery for laptop a couple of weeks, but it worked perfectly. So someone could shed light on, you can the problem. At the time the laptop is freezing on the black windows xp screen.

    Thank you

For me, it looks like a HARD drive failure.

The S.M.A.R.T (self-monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is an industry standard that is used in hard drives. This feature watches and monitors the important parameters of the HARD disk and allows you to recognize the HARD drive problems.

In my opinion the HDD doesn't work properly and you must replace it as far as possible.

Sorry for this bad news but I think that there is no other solution as a replacement of HARD drive
