Cannot install Office97pro after system recovery using windows XP. System does not seem to recognize the drive.

After system recovery cannot reinstall dvd office97pro. It seems that windows XP does not recognize the program on the disk.  Tested the dvd on my computer laptop windows 7, charges fine. Help!

Hi Fred Chandler,.

  1. What happens when you insert the DVD in the drive?
  2. You receive an error message?
  3. You are able to use the other DVDs on the computer?
  4. Do you have any third-party DVD burning software installed on the computer?

If you are facing a similar problem with all DVDs on the computer, refer to the article below and then try the steps mentioned, check if it helps.

Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314060

If you face this problem with the Office 97 DVD then I would suggest that you post your request in the forums of Microsoft Office.

Then I need to install another application that must refer to this path and validate during its installation. Installation of the next application saying that there is a "Invalid Version of R.

If I install R in the following directories, it is recognized and my next application installed successfully:
    C:\Program Files

    D:\R

Windows Server is not recognize the R application properly installed in "D:\Program Files." Windows runs into the space between "Program" and "Files" and put an end to the execution of this order.

The application I am trying to install the message 'Invalid Version of R' returns because he can't run the command check correctly. Because nothing is returned from the R.exe, he is unable to continue. • CS6 hearing does not seem to recognize that I have a 5.1 system and channel mapping. Any ideas?

Hi there everyone. I'm trying to mix in 5.1 surround sound. I started a project and assign the 5.1, and I can edit everything very well. The problem is I can't track my results, because the hearing does not seem to recognize that I have a 5.1 (Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1) hooked through 6 direct channels. It is not recognize more than two channels. Anyone know what is happening?

I have a laptop Alienware M17x-R4 running Win 8 Pro 64-bit. My sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster Recon3Di.

Here's what my preferences are like.

Unfortunately, your sound card is not a true 6-channel device. Like many of this PC low-cost sound systems, it is only capable of producing surround audio decoding of the already encoded sound sources. Ms. base drivers provided show only base two-channel stereo input and output for hearing.

To be able to monitor true 5.1 surround channels, you will likely spend your audio interface to something with the release of six discrete channels.

The image (it back up to an external drive as full image) and reinstall Windows XP, update, drivers and everything.  Install any plugins that you NEED to do all that you see here that the bat hurt.  If the problem no longer exists, something has gone wrong with your system from before (corrupt files or your cleaning is not as complete as you think) and if the problem persists - probably something to do with the material. In all cases, you can return to the image if you wish.

To the extent wherever it is the registry, I must ask, * how * you have come to this conclusion?  Not that I'm defending something - I was wondering what you did to decide who is not your registry database?  (Side: I agree with you.)

That's what * I * would call cleaning and optimization of a Windows XP machine:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

    Step 2:

Most likely you need codecs to play these files with Windows Media Player. I suggest looking up codec in the Internet that supports the file format, download and install them.

    Hello

Glad to know that the problem has been resolved.

    Travel to your other question.

Note: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Uninstall process will not go by if there is no file in the program folder files.

I you suggest to install tuneup utilities again and then you can uninstall programs and features.

Please let us know the status of the issue.
