  I suggest you rename the temporary folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution:

  1. click on start, run, type: cmd and press ENTER. Run the following command in the opened window.

  net stop WuAuServ

  2. click on start, run, type: %windir%, and then press ENTER.
  3. in the opened folder, rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SDold.
  4. click on start, run, type: cmd and press ENTER. Run the following command in the opened window.

  net start WuAuServ

  Visit the Windows Update site to check this problem. If it works then it's a corrupted Windows Update file and we need to delete the folder in which it resides.

  With the 'solution' to the other thread, I was finally able to load the software for the printer on my computer, but then the computer is not grateful and in collaboration with the printer for some reason any.  I got the JO 4500 all-in-One machine to print with a generic driver to a different printer, but I couldn't use the other features like analysis.

  Now, when I plug in USB cable to the printer to the computer, nothing happens.  Other USB devices work fine, but the printer is not recognized as it should be for a reason any.  So, I installed the printer drivers and software, but now cannot complete the installation of the printer to work. What gives?

  This looks like a port that the computer connects to is turned off, which is very rare, or as the USB cable may be bad. Another possibility is that the USB port on the printer itself is turned off. To control the port on the computer just plug in another device to the port and see if the computer detects. It will very likely, because, as I said, it's very rare that a single port out.   Problem solved. The file have not completely downloaded. Made 2 further attempts it downloaded completely and was able to install it successfully.

  I suggest you to restart the computer, and then perform the clean boot and install the programs and see if that helps.

  You are on a network to a company?  If so, you will need to contact your system administrator to get permission to install software on the computer.
   
  If a personal computer then try a system restore to a point before it started.

  Hi Ed,

  You try to install the program by running it as administrator and check if that helps.

  1. to start the program as an administrator

  2. right click on the file to install the program

  3. Select run as administrator

  Now check if help.

  If this does not help, you can try to temporarily disable UAC (User Account Control), and then try to install the program and check if that helps.

  Note: Enable the UAC once the installation is complete.

  The printer has been on my home network to a XP installation.  My new Win 7 PC recognizes the printer and print to it, but I need to complete (including the centre of Solution) of scanning software, etc.  So I downloaded the software Win7 OJ6500vE709_Full_14.exe as recommended; However, it will not install.  The first few times I ran the .exe it extracted, an Assistant came, and then the wizard says that it could not find a file.  Then I went into computer management and asked to update the drivers, pointing to the directory of the downloaded software, and Windows said that she already had the best driver.   Now if I rerun the .exe it checked, and when this is done there is the message "this application has requested execution to terminate in an unusual way."

  I don't know what to try next.

  Just built a brand new computer and put Win7 x 64 on it because I got my Wouln't work with Win10 printer. In any case, I got the full software downloaded from my old computer, and when I went to install it, it out craps with no error message. I double-click the self-extracting file, click on install, then chose the options to install. (I tried all the options, no options, but the driver and several other variants). Click on accept, and then click Next. Then he says it is applied an update, then the installation window disappears and nothing. the installer is no longer works in task mgr.

  So, I came across an article that explains how to remove completely by running an uninstall of L4. I'm doing this, it restarts the computer, and I'm trying to install the software again. Same thing is happening. I had this same thing happened on my old computer and somewhere I got the complete software re-installed, but could not remember all the steps I took to get it reinstalled. I can print fine when installing the driver integrated in Windows, but like full features software.  It gets really frustrating because it is a great printer works always and right now do not have the money for a new printer. It is a brand new computer

  Hi I'm a complete newbie to the vmware player but wanted to install to try new operating systems and another plc project in work. I downloaded the latest version of the player and tried to install in my Toshiba A135 computer laptop with a dual core intel 2080 1.73 GHz with 2 GB of memory running with a freshly installed windows 7 pro version. 100 GB of disk space on C and 200 GB on the D drive.  When I install the software I get the following message; Error; VMware Player can not be installed on this computer.
