Cannot install the C4680 with windows XP-

I recently bought a C4680 with the intention of using it as a wireless printer connected in conjunction with a Linksys print server. Currently, I do this now with three PC and another HP printer.

I have a laptop with Vista Home, another laptop with XP s/p3 and a desktop with XP s/p3.

With the Vista PC installation was quick and easy. However, when installing on both machines XP, installed on the ground to stop when you try to install the drivers after the connection of the USB cable. The two printing support, and mass storage facilities returned a "cannot complete this installation - driver is not digitally signed.

I spent four hours on the phone with HP support before they admitted that they could not do work on the XP laptop.

What I will meet the same exact errors when I try to install on the XP desktop.

My question: is there someone out there who has successfully installed the C4680 with Windows XP?

Large. Glad to know that it worked.

I ask you to mark my post as the Solution so other users with the same issue can benefit from this thread.

  • Satellite L555-S7008 - cannot install the display driver Windows 7

    Hi guys

    I'm confused now
I have a Satellite L555-S7008, I installed a Windows 7 ultimate edition, but unfortunately the display driver did not work. Now I have pain in my eys because of the resolution. What should I do to make it work?

Hardware found "Mobile Intel (r) 4 Series Express Chipset Family", but it does not support this type of material

    (2) what driver should I I installed to the PCI network communication controller?

    Hi ROCO_1,

I had a similar problem with the display driver I t could not install it. I put t know why it happened, but the solution is that you need to install the display driver through the Device Manager and not from the configuration file

So go into Device Manager and right-click on the graphics card and select put to update driver. Do not choose the Advanced installation where you can choose the driver directory yourself. Select the files that you have unpacked the file downloaded and that s all.

About the communication network PCI controller, it could be both: WLAN or LAN card. So, make sure that the two drivers are installed.

  • Age of Empires 2 cannot host the game with Windows 7, Server networking DirectPlay

I recently installed Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion on Windows 7 Ultimate RC1 at home.

This game does not work on Windows 7 with some work. First color is screwed up because it runs using 256 colors. Killing the task of 'explorer' in the Task Manager, while the game is running fixed that.

My new problem is that I can't host a game in network on Windows 7. I've done some packet sniffing and I think it has to do with Directplay Server does not properly.

    According to Wikipedia

    • In Windows Vista , DirectPlay has been deprecated and DirectPlay Voice and NAT Helper of DirectPlay have been removed.

I can join Games hosted on a Windows XP with Windows 7 machine, but I'm not able to host my own games.

At work, we all use Windows 7 to play after hours is not possible because we do not have an XP machine to host the game.

How can I me Directplay specifically Directplay Server run on Windows 7?

I tried AOE2 running in Compatibility Mode for XP SP2 as it as an administrator.

    Kind regards

    Joey

If, after upgrading two machines Windows 7 Beta to Windows 7 Professional Retail, I managed to get the machines to see after turning off UPnP on the router. I guess AOE2 is the ad itself and the router it's treat as UPnP.

  • Cannot install the fax in windows xp sp3

When I try to install the fax component, the installation is complete. However, I don't see the fax software installed in the start menu > all programs > Accessories > communications... what could be the problem? Please help me. I use windows xp pro service pack 3.

I'm afraid that I don't have a solution proven to this situation.  The following might work, but I do know for sure that he will do so.

Log in as a user with "Computer administrator" privileges

Create a Restore Point or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT , or for protection full and create and save a disc image, use something like Acronis True Image, Norton Ghost, Casper or similar.

In order to decompress the files you downloaded, you must use the EXPAND command from a command prompt window.  Let me suggest the following method:

    • Create a new folder in the same directory as the file containing the compressed files. For example, suppose you have extracted the files in a folder on your desktop named XPFax (C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\XPFax). Create a new folder on your desktop named XPFaxOut (C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\XPFaxout)
    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Type the following line in the window command prompt black, substituting your correct username and you have used the folder names and press Enter (the text will wrap below, but only press enter at the end of the line)

      EXPAND C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\XPFax\*.* C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\XPFaxout\ r

At this point, your XPFaxout should have all of the 35 files with the correct file extensions (DLL, EXE, etc.).

    Copy the files as follows:

Copy 19 DLL files and 4 EXE files in C:\Windows\system32

Copy the same files DLL 19 and 4 EXE files in C:\Windows\system32\dllcache

Copy the 3 files in CHM and HLP on C:\Windows\Help 1 file
Copying 1 file to C:\Windows\addins ECF
Copy 1 INF file in C:\Windows\inf
Copy 1 file INI to C:\Windows\system32
    Copy the 1 H file in C:\Windows\system32
    Copy the 4 VOC files in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Common Coverpages

You have now all the files where they are supposed to be.

Now follow the instructions here--> http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/118058-45-install-windows-manually

Good luck... and let us know if it works.

  • Cannot install the driver for Windows Phone 7

When I connect my Nokia Lumia 800 to my PC via USB, phone charges, and pilot the Software Installation icon in the lower corner of the screen indicates that the drivers are being found and installed.

After a few minutes, what it says; "The software for this device has been successfully installed. Windows Phone 7 - finished, reboot required. »
So I continue, and restarting my PC, when it restarts the Software Installation icon appears again and begins to reinstall the driver, and then tells me that a restart is required.
Whenever I restart my PC to complete the installation, the installation process again, so I guess that the driver is eliminated during the restart?
I haven't restarted my PC about 20 times, and every time it starts the process and invites me to restart.
I checked the Device Manager before I have restart and it sees driver WP7 but with a yellow triangle, after the reboot, the driver is so more on the list until the icon to install the software driver in the bottom of the screen indicates that the drivers are being found and installed.
