  • Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver - this is going to work with a remote xbox?

Hi, I have the xbox 360 Wireless gaming receiver and I am trying to get a remote control for it.  Does the xbox 360 remote sync to the xbox or is it just regular IR

    Thanks for your help

The xbox 360 remote control Infra-red, the 360 has an IR receiver port.

The wireless gaming receiver is radio only, so will not pick up the remote control. There isn't AFAIK a 'remote control' for the wireless receiver such that it has a validity of the Protocol only for xbox 360 Wireless devices, although there are a lot of 3rd inventive party accessories available, there might be something. You can of course use one of these wireless devices as a remote for other applications with the right software (xpadder, beam, etc.).

The Xbox 360 remote control can be used with a PC using an IR receiver, but it's not plug-and-play, here is a solution: http://www.redmondpie.com/using-xbox-360-ir-remote-with-vista-media-center/

Other that that, there are a multitude of remotes for PC, IR and wireless (including bluetooth). Bluetooth is the option if you want to keep your number of receivers plugged into your pc to a minimum, however, IR is still much better for the battery of remote controls (why it is still used despite the benefits of the radio).

  • Satellite L500D - cannot install all drivers for Windows 7 64 bit

    Hey,.

the problem is that I installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit yesterday. Before I was using Vista Home Premium 32-Bit, so it must be a clean install. I downloaded all the drivers for my laptop model (Satellite L500D-10R) from the Toshiba site. The problem now is that not everyone can be installed because with several I get the error message, for example with Chip Set Utility I get the error «this system is not satisfying the minimum requirements...» "in addition, when you try to install the Eco utility I get an empy message and stops the installation. What can be the problem here?

And what's with Wi - Fi. When I plug in the ethernet cable to the Internet works correctly, but when I try to connect to my router (the ofc ethernet cable disconnected) he cannot identify my computer and gives me an error of network interface controller and says the reason is 0 x 00028001.

Here is the error message (sorry for the language):
    + Deleted information - non-English language.

    Hi mate,

With regard to the Intel chipset error message I can suggest only install this manual dirver via Device Manager. I had the same problem and if I could install the chipset driver.
    Check this box!

Regarding Eco Utility, you must install all the drivers first, then Tools. Value added should be the first tool of Toshiba you install.

You installed a driver for your wireless network card?

Perhaps you need to restore the factory settings if you are not an expert of installing the driver ;)

  • Vista cannot install/search drivers for 3 devices that work fine on XP PC. Tried all standard troubleshooting.

With 2 usb devices (hard drive recovery now used as external; Sansa Fuse mp3 player) and a Sandisk sd memory card, a message says: there need locate and install driver software.  Usb devices, allowing to work on the Vista pc and still works on XP PC; SD card is brand new.  Since none of the devices came with the CD, I ask the wizard to find the drivers for me.  Whenever he is unable to find the drivers for all three devices.

Problem w / all 4 usb ports. Vista is completely updated.  Completely upgrade from Sansa MP3 player.  Manually tried to update or uninstall device drivers via "Control Panel - System - Device Manager-[select the device with the yellow exclamation mark on it]"-update software or uninstalling the driver. ""  It does not work every time.

Other devices USB (jumpdrives, pregnant, webcam, another external hard disk) still work.  Devices used to work on the machine still work on XP machines.  I would try a system restore, but the problem exists longer than my old restore point.

    Chris - Support Engineer,

Thank you for your (and others) will help, but I would like to respectfully ask you and others to read previous posts before making suggestions (especially before posting a link to a site with advice extremely good sense).  I clicked on your link.  It is recommended 3 things:

    1. use Windows Update. You will have to perhaps set Windows Update automatically download and install recommended updates.

In my original post, I wrote: " " Vista is completely updated. »

In my original post, I wrote: " " Manually tried to update or uninstall device drivers via "Control Panel - System - Device Manager-[select the device with the yellow exclamation mark on it]"-update software or uninstalling the driver. ""  This fails every time. »

    2. install the software from the manufacturer of the device. For example, if your device is equipped with a disk, this disk can contain software that installs a driver for the device.

In my original post, I wrote: " " Since none of the devices came with the CD, I ask the wizard to find the drivers for me.  Whenever he is unable to find the drivers for all three devices. »

    3. download and update the driver yourself. Use this method to install a driver that you download from the manufacturer's website. This ifWindows update can't find a driver for your device and the device didn't come with software that installs a driver.

In my original post, I wrote: " " MP3 player is completely updated to Sansa [site Web of Sandisk]. »

In my fourth post, I wrote: " " The mp3 player has drivers up to date.  I updated yesterday through another computer"

In my fifth post, I wrote: " " SanDisk I would exchange my mp3 for a brand new player.  I just got a new, but still have the same problem. "Even if I somehow don't had not updated the drivers correctly, it seems unlikely that a brand new from the manufacturer would also have exceeded the pilots.

    AND

I quoted in my fifth post, site of Seagate on each of my hard drives Maxtor and Seagate external:

"Seagate and Maxtor-brandexternal hard drives require no additional drivers work inWindows Vista,Windows XP,Windows 2000orMac OS X." These external drives are supported by the standard device drivers that are already included in these systems out of the box.

Yet once again, I really appreciate your (and everyone elses') willingness to help, but I doubt that you would have sent me the link to this page of tips if you had read my posts more closely.  Instead, you would have seen that I had already completed all the steps suggested your Web site.

Moreover, anything ever (including twice running the OS disk to repair Windows).  The problems have been fixed only after that I completely rebooted Windows.

  • Satellite C660-15 cannot install the update of wireless lan

I receive a notice indicating that my wireless lan driver should be updated. I followed the instructions and know which unit my laptop (Realtek: RTL8188CE) and download the appropriate driver software. It appears as a zip file in my downloads folder. I unzip and then what?

Read the instructions Dutch (although I prefer English on notice that download and update the driver) it is said to look for a readme file (they are all very old, since 2010, none in 2011). Really they don't say anything about what to do. In Dutch, he also says to click on SETUP. I find one that is marked as an application, so I double click that.

It runs, and then on the screen it says something like: "the software may or may not have installed correctly". So I click on it to install it again. Same thing.

I had no idea if it installed correctly or not, so I clicked on the features of network/system/control panel (?) / Realtek... and right-click to see which version of the device driver is there and it has not changed.

So, what should I do to get this new driver works correctly?

I tried several times and it doesn't work right. It becomes very frustrating and there seems to be no way to contact Toshiba support, other than through this forum (which is users rather than support from Toshiba, I think).

    Help, please.

    cjbbrussels

Try to install the driver using the old-school method.

Enter the card WLAN (Device Manager) properties > driver > Update driver and browse to the RTL_Driver folder. Choose the folder 7 x 64 or 7 x 78, according to the version of the OS you are using.

I think that it will install the driver.

By the way: If your WLAN is working properly you should not install this driver.

  • windows XP F6 installation does not work - cannot install the drivers for the controller

I want to install Windows XP, I press F6 toload the AHCI AMD drivers from a floppy disk, but the installation stops when loading. How F6 to stop and allow the loading of the drivers?

You should be able to install the AHCI drivers and change the interface after Windows is installed.

If you have not already installed Windows, leave the setting as native IDE and install it normally.

If Windows is already installed or after you're done install, install appropriate drivers for your controller and then change the interface of AHCI.
You may need the chipset drivers installed as well.

  • Windows 7 64 bit, cannot install the driver for bluetooth devices for my Motorola Droid Razr periferical

Windows 7 64 bit, cannot install the driver for bluetooth devices for my Motorola Droid Razr periferical. When troubleshooting try to apply the fix, after trying, it ends with a message this problem "not set"...

I finally found the help on my own. Download and install Windows Mobile Device Center. After installation, you'll swear that nothing has been installed, but there is a. The download says it's for Vista, but it also shows Winkdows 7 under system requirements. This is from the download I used.

Go in Device Manager for each item under the heading Bluetooth with an asterisk, double-click it. Click the tab drivers, then put to update driver. Browse my computer..., let me pick from a list... Under manufacturer, select "Microsoft Corporation". Under model, click on "Windows Mobile-based device support", and then click Next. Click 'YES' in the driver warning window. Windows will now update the driver, and he will tell you, he did it with success!

This solved my problems. Good luck with yours.

  • Satellite A100 (PSAA9E) - Cannot install the display driver for Windows 7

    I have a problem with installing official Toshiba Windows 7 x 32 ATI x 1600 driver.

After unpacking it should run install.exe, I think, but it's not; nothing happens. Go on the Setup.exe with installation manual, then I see no Catalyst Control Center & Display Driver from the list, just the catalyst install Manager & vcredist. After installing these components (CCC & DD) are not present.

    Any ideas?

P.S. Same problem with the official driver of Toshiba Vista32 ATI x 1600.

    Hi mate,

You have already installed other drivers for the laptop? I mean the chipset driver, this driver must be installed first.
And are you sure that you have ATI display driver? Some Satellite A100 models were shipped with the nVidia graphics card, AFAIK.

Moreover, what happens if you install driver manual in device via advanced installation manager?
