Cannot install upgrade KB976325 - error 8007371 - IE 8 under Vista Home Premium SP2 running.
Other comments from the Knowledge Base KB976325 flay as a security for IE7 update. I am running IE8. I tried to remove the Windows\servicing\Packages directory KB976325 files, but they are protected.
This upgrade is necessary, or how he remove it from the queue of the update.
How about an error 80073712 ?
.. .you you receive an error message that includes the following code when you try to use Windows Update: "0 x 80073712".

Error message when you try to install updates on the Microsoft Update or Windows Update Web site: "0 x 80073712".

What application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription? What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications? What third-party firewall (if applicable)? Who were these applications that run in the background when you installed IE8 and/or SP2?
A (another) Norton or McAfee application has already been installed on the computer (for example, a free trial version which is preinstalled when you bought it)?

Inspiron Dell 1720 2.2 GHz, 2 GB ram, Win Vista ultimate SP2.
Cannot install all programs currently due to errors of windows install. I have tried scannow in cmd which seems to close automatically in less than a second to click on enter.I tried switching win installer services then in manual and automatic ('start' ed) with no ruling change ever to the problem. So now since I can't possibly find another solution, I'm doing a new installation of windows vista Home premium 32-bit which I did not have the keys. So the query. I would appreciate any comment how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.Look at the product key shown on the label on the computer. Which edition of Windows is on the label? If the label says Home Premium Home Premium dvd is likely a recovery disk only. So if there is a recovery disk, so it can reinstall a new copy of Home Premium and all reset the status of the plant. You will lose your programs and data.
If the Premium family edition dvd is a dvd retail then you may be able to do a repair on-site modernization (aka ' install fix') of Vista Ultimate with it, but please answer these questions first.

I'm unable to load the microsoft KB 2378111 security update. I'm under Vist Home Premium. I get the error code 80070020. I tried safe mode, but no luck so far
Hello
You are supposed to try it in "Safe Mode with network"; not 'Safe Mode'.
You need a cable connection; no wireless using this method.
Start method 3, etc at this link if top is not solve:

Error 800b0100 KB2564958 Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit.
I am experiencing 800b0100 error when trying to install KB2564958 on Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit. I ran the system update tool and tried to download and manually install the KB2564958 without success. Any ideas?
A repair installation isn't a big problem if you have the right drive. A new clean install is a much larger task.
Notwithstanding, there is no certainty that it will solve the problem but it is very unlikely to harmful effects on the system.
The missing file is a strange situation. It is formally identified in the Article, but on a Vista computer that I have here, there is no sign of the file. The difference with your computer, is that my updates normally and your not.

Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit not updated, the error code 80070005. Have tried little about everything without success. AV is Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton has preloaded, ran Norton total clean. Don't know the last updated time to race day, I re-load of updates (right term?) who cleaned the logs. Have the free version of Malwarebytes, run regularly, nothing comes.

Network drivers no longer will charge after upgrade to Vista Home Premium sp2.
On a laptop Sony PCG - 7113 L VGN-NR220E, that is running Windows Vista Home Premium sp1, I tried to upgrade to sp2 who said he could not make the transfer and restarted, tried once more and then restored sp1. All came back as the same with the exception of all the network drivers cannot be loaded. Here is a list of drivers who have failed.
- ISATAP. Westell.com
- Map Microsoft ISATAP #3
- Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
- Marvell Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Fast Ethernet
- Controller of
- LAN0Express AS IEEE 802.11 g PCI-E fit
I went back to the site from Sony and all the latest drivers downloaded from the site and tried to install. Only some allowed me to do even while administering it, but even those that didn't load on reboot even if it finds the drivers.
I tried to uninstall the drivers in Device Manager, but nothing helped. None of the drivers loaded when you restart. I tried disabling verification of driver and reinstall the network drivers that I downloaded from Sony site without success. Then I tried to download a driver directly from Marvell Yukon site for its pilot, but which also failed.
Given that this approach did not work, I tried to get sp2 to load looking for why it was not installing. I found a patch that was supposed to help the installation in certain situations that I loaded and sp2 installation I tried again a full download on another computer, which has not the same way. I then tried to load sp1 over himself, but he refused, saying he was already loaded.
I tried to start off backups old session, but without success. I wouldn't have to reinstall the operating system everywhere, especially since I don't even know if the owner of the computer has a copy of the operating system.
It seems to be that something related to all the fuction of network that worked before you attempt the installation of sp2 and was obvious immediately after. Is there something I can do to restore the network features without a complete reinstallation of the operating system?

Upgrade to victory. Win 7. Vista Home Premium.
IAM running Windows Vista Home Premium on my laptop. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor says: 1 TI PCIxx12 Intergrated FlashMedia Controller is not compatible, 2.Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802. 11b / g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter requires to decide before installing Windows 7.i can't even not that these elements. Muchless what they do. If I make the suggested changes and decide to not upgrade, will be my laptop still works?
You must first check with the manufacturer of your computer laptop as to if they provide drivers win7 for your model, if they don't, assume that any upgrade will be successful

The computer on which I am trying to upgrade is vascular under Vista Premium, but it was never upgraded to Service Pack 1. He has a problem with PIECES that is caused by a defective ntdll.dll module and so the updates do not work. Windows Upgrade Advisor tells me I must update Vista SP1. I really don't want to spend the time to solve the problem of Vista. I would like to just do a clean install using the custom install option on the Win7 upgrade support.
Help.Wrong forum. This post here instead, questions please: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads
That being said, you can not use an upgrade to Win7 edition to make a clean installation on a computer running Vista without SP1 installed, but you can buy a complete edition of Win7 (detail) and install it after formatting your HARD drive. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft

Hi-
I recently partion on my computer hp laptop and installed windows vista family premium with the recovery disk I got with the laptop I have this laptop for about 4 years, I have the product ID-89578-oem-7332157-00204. If possible can I get the product key to my email * address email is removed from the privacy * because that's what I was told by hp when I asked them why they said that my warranty is over, but my windows cd must be functional and ask microsoft. If you could really help me, I really need because I am a user of autocad as a computer architect, it's the only thing that I have money on working hard.Hello
the HP recovery discs do not normally require an input key product on your part
It's a good idea to always write it down in a safe place and away from the computer
Unfortunately, these stickers wear away very easily
and good luck with it

My lap top has vista home and I tried to install Win 98 on a drive. I get messages saying that it can not be installed. The installer on the disc advises to install using MS-DOS. However, the file of course dosen't address install on a computer with vista home. I am not able in the BACK. I'd like some simple instructions to install it if it is possible.
You need to do using a Virtual Machine (Finally, there are other ways, but this is the simplest and the best option). http://www.dnncreative.com/Tutorials/DNNTutorialsforAdvancedUsers/VirtualPC/tabid/394/Default.aspx.
Once the virtual machine is configured, see the follwng on how to install Windows 98 on it:http://www.vistax64.com/virtual-pc/174999-re-installing-windows-98-a.html.
I hope this helps. Keep me in the loop.
Good luck!
