Cannot install windows after reset of the partition

I've literally been sitting to my macbook for the last 10 hours trying to get my bootcamp at work, however after tons of things difficult and research I found online I'm always at a loss. Initially, I had installed windows 7 a few weeks ago for the second time (after that yosemite deleted my previous one during the upgrade) and everything was fine. Then, I took the decision to uninstall my windows because I really wanted to expand the size of my partition, then backed up all my files and used bootcamp to delete windows and re partitioning my hard drive to a single volume. However after this, and then following the same exact steps as before (running bootcamp and sharing in a larger space) once the restarts my laptop that it comes up with the message "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key" instead start windows automatically load (as it did before). I've repeated several times in the hope that it would work once however I can't help but feel that there is a problem with my hard drive and when I try to check my hard drive (not the 'Macintosh HD' a top one) sometimes - (I say sometimes because it does not say this error when you try to check) said this :

Audit score card for "APPLE HDD HTS547 * A9E384 Media.

Checking the size of the EFI system partition

Check the contents of the folder on the EFI system partition

and yet when I performed the same task again 2 minutes later he says:

Audit score card for "APPLE HDD HTS547 * A9E384 Media.

Checking prerequisites

Checking the list of partition

Looking for an EFI system partition

I'm really not good when it comes to such things, so this information can be totally irrelevant, sorry! I had originally check my volumes a recovery when yosemite initially deleted to repartition my hard drive and reinstall windows. I really don't know what to do, any help would be appreciated. I have no knowledge in this subject what so ever but I feel that my hard drive is damaged somewhere (even if yosemite still works perfectly and all my files appear to be intact) or for some reason my boot loaders do not work...

I can provide more information if necessary, but quite frankly, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this if you have!

1. do you use a USB key to install Windows?

2 can you post the output of the following OSX Terminal commands?

diskutil list

Cs diskutil list

sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

    Hello

IA´ve you have a question. I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-411 with Windows Vista Home Premium. Because of the performance that would have me much better with Windows XP, I tried to install Windows Xp on a second partition, but on the same hard drive.

The problem is that it did not work, I put the Windows XP cd in my DVD player, did a restart and started from the cd.
The first window Windows Xp installation opened and checked my system, but when he did and
wantet to start the main installation, I got a blue screen, where stood her system was closed due to an error and that I should change my video card, or should I turn caching and shadowing in my Bios.

But my video card really works and is ok and I can't find the caching and shadowing in bios, so I can't install windows xp.

So my question is is it possible to install Windows XP on the A100-411 when Vista is installed on the other Partition.

I did something wrong or isn´t is it possible to install Windows Xp after Windows Vista on an A100-411
Sorry for my bad English and greetings from the Germany

    Hello

Of course, it should be possible to install Windows XP on the second partition.
First you must create the partition. Vista provide a clean option for partitions of creation because the 3rd party applications such as Partitions magic doesn't work under Vista. In disk management you can reduce the size of a partition of first and could create a second partition on the HARD disk free space.

All your Windows XP CD contain service packs? I myself remember more old CD s WinXP don't were not delivered with SP2! In such cases, it s a good idea to create a clean XP Boot CD using 3rd application called nLite. Its freeware and you could find on the net!

  • Satellite A100: Cannot install recovery after having deleted the Ubuntu partition

    Hello friends,

I have the Satellite A 100. I was using dual OS - windows vista home edition and Ubuntu. Now I wanted to remove Ubuntu and so I did the stupidest thing - directly delete the partition with Ubuntu which had the GRUB files. Then to the laptop computer restart of course the Grub bootloader wasn't there and if the computer is not started or load any OS. Then I thought that I will reinstall Vista with product recovery CD but the progress reached at 2% and then I keep getting error 1117 a failure to read. I tried so many times without success. I even tried to install XP, but it says Intel boot agent cannot make connection. And it also fails.

Please help to reinstall Vista or XP. I'm really stuck and I learned a lesson not to tinker in mobile when it isn't those of Cup of tea!
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

    > Now if I download EasyBCD how would I be able to run it or how should I use it?
You will not be able to run EasyBCD because you are not able to boot Vista.
EasyBCD can be installed only in Vista and will allow you to change the Vista Boot Manager.

I think you need to format the entire disk HARD again should erase all partitions and must attempt to reinstall Vista.

I recommend using a free tool called GParted LiveCD. Google for what it helps format the HARD drive!

  • Satellite A200-137 - cannot install windows after the hard disk crash

I have install with Toshiba recovery DVD windows Vista on it and after succesfull installed I have to start windows, it says prepare for first use windows then I have to wait a while and then I get the message that windows setup is not complete. But it is complete!

After trying to install 3 times with recovert I tried to install windows xp.
After a few minutes and transering files, I don't get the message no disc found! It is said that there is no hard drive on the laptop!
But when I start the start menu or the settings menu, I can see the 500 GB Hitachi hard drive!

So why windows can't find hard disk and why can't I start windowds visat after installing with the recovery dvd?

    > So why windows can't find hard disk and why can't I start windowds visat after installing with the recovery dvd?
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say why you can not install recovery image. It would be interesting to know if the same thing will happen when you replace the HARD with the same or identical.
This title was the original HARD drive?
If possible, try to get original Microsoft installation disc and check if the HARD drive will be recognized by Vista or Win7 and of course if you will be able to install and boot OS preinstalled.

Regarding the installation of Windows XP Home edition: it is well known that the WXP installation will start properly due to lack of SATA driver that must be loaded prior to installation of WXP begins.
Check out this forum and you will find hundreds of threads with detailed explanation why this happen and what can you do about it.

  • Need help to install Windows 8.1 on the partition, bootcamp on Macbook Pro 15 "mid-2010 w / no optical drive"

I tried for almost a week in all possible ways to get windows installed on a boot camp partition on my main SSD 1 TB drive as a partition, or on my HARD drive, which is installed in place of the optical drive.  So far, everything I tried to give me some sort of error at some point in the process.  It seems that many of them are case by case, so I thought that I invite you all and see if you can help!

I use a Macbook Pro 15 "mid-2010 that I improved with a 1 TB SSD drive as the startup disk.  My optical drive was not functional, so I moved my old 500 GB HARD drive to the location of the optical Bay.  I am also under the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.6)
    Here are my system specs:

    Presentation of the material:

    Model name: MacBook Pro

    Model identifier: MacBookPro6, 2

    Processor name: Intel Core i7

    Processor speed: 2.8 GHz

    Number of processors: 1

    Total number of cores: 2

(By heart) L2 Cache: 256 KB

    L3 Cache: 4 MB

    Memory: 8 GB

Processor speed of interconnection: 4.8 GT/s

    Boot ROM version: MBP61.0057.B11

Version of the SCM (System): 1.58f17

What I tried (from what I remember):

I tried to change the Bootcamp info.plist file for my version of the macbook pro to use a USB stick for the installer.  It seems to have installed correctly but once I partition the disk and restart the computer, it gets stuck on a white screen with the Apple logo and I am forced to make a hard stop and then hold down option to boot into OS X, recovery, or the EFI Boot.

If I go through the windows installation to start the EFI system, I get an error of:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk.  The selected disk is a MBR partition table.  On EFI systems, Windows cannot be installed on GPT disks. »

I also tried to create a partition by using disk utility, and that too made me an error in the installation of windows.

So far, the only way that I'm away from windows to run at all has been using the free trial of VMware Fusion 8... but I intend to use windows for more intensive tasks like audio pro, and merger simply does not offer the performance necessary to run these programs.  I'm hoping to install windows 8.1 on my internal SSD or HARD drive, regardless of the work - as long as OS X and files associated with it are left alone.

If someone could help me please understand this point, I would really appreciate it!

    Thank you

If your computer has an optical drive, you must use the optical drive to install Windows using Boot Camp Assistant.

  • Cannot install Windows 7 Ultimate because the disk is an upgrade can is not a product key

Original title: I'm in a difficult situation, help!

First of all, I bought a new computer and tried to set up Windows 7 Ultimate. I have been informed that it is an 'upgrade' and I'm stuck in the set up screen requiring a product key that I tried to use, without success.

I was wondering if it's because it's just an upgrade and I need Windows 7 Home Premium?
And when to buy the premium what will become of her already implemented Windows 7 Ultimate?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

    Hello Viposhan,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

Looks like you want to reinstall OS X on your computer.  I will try to help you with this.

MacBooks 2007 came with OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or OS X 10.5 (Leopard) installed.  To reinstall the OS X on a Mac 2007 you need discs that came with the computer or the discs for any version of Mac OS X upgrade you bought.  Place the disc in the disc drive, hold the C key and turn on the computer.  It should boot from the disc.  Follow the prompts from there.  Recovery of the Internet did not become available until that models Mac later.

If you don't have the original disks, OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) would work for a computer in 2007 and is available on the Apple Store online here:

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

    Hi Nnrmalata,

    1. you are trying to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

Boot from GPT is only supported for 64-bit of Windows 7 on UEFI-based systems.

For more details, refer to this link:

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/hardware/gg463525.aspx

If your computer does not support UEFI, back up your important data to an external drive and delete all partitions on hard drives and create a new partition.

    (a) start from the Windows 7 DVD

    (b) click on install now

    (c) in the configuration screen, click Custom (Advanced)

    (d) click on drive Options

    (e) select the partitions to format

    (f) click on Format - this will erase EVERYTHING on this partition

    (g) create a new partition, and then select a partition to install Windows on.

    (h) follow the on-screen instructions and install Windows.

Note: Converting a hard disk partition or volume from NTFS to FAT32 requires that you reformat the partition, which deletes all the data on this subject. Be sure to back up data that you want to keep before you begin.

You can check the link for reference:

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

If above did not help, please refer to the steps in this link.

Note: Backup your important data to an external drive

    Hello

You are able to install other updates successfully?

See the methods mentioned below and check if that helps.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

I suggest to reset the Windows Update components and check if it helps.
