  I am running El Capitan 10.11.3 on an iMac 21.5 "(end of 2009)

  What follows is true on the browsers Chrome (52.0.27), Firefox (45.0.2) and Safari (9.0.3):

  • browser does not open 60% of websites attempt, NYtimes, google scholar, include chase, jadefitnessdc, myfitnesspal, latimes
  • sites that load include:
    • soundcloud, search google, probublica, myhealth.va, discussions.apple

  As you can see there doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason to what sites load and which are not.

  I did not have any update to my OS, installed updates or new software.  All of a sudden, the problem started two weeks (about 20/09/16):

  Pages is a Word processing/DTP App and has nothing to do with Web pages.

  You have a kind of trainer game?

  Try to create an another account in your System Preferences and browsing from there and see if that makes a difference.

• Cannot get into Facebook - shows all page. Cannot get into my regular AOL - Firefox only basis AOL will not do what I usually have.

  When I connect to Facebook, it brings to the top of the entire page. There only things on the side left who say messages, disconnect and a few other things. It will not go into Facebook as it should. When I try to go to my email address, it won't go. It says that I have to use the basic version. Facebook sign-in is disabled, too. Instead of horizontally along the top, it is vertical on the left side.

• Cannot copy / paste of 22.0 Firefox more other than v & ctrl c

  Normally I would select/wrap text in Firefox and right click and choose copy in the top of the menu, click go to Word, Notepad etc and go to the paste, but nothing no y element to paste in the menu grayed.

  It works ok ctrl v and c, but is frustrating because the built-in function is so much cleaner

• WMV file does not play when loading on the web... but file system work?

  I have a MOV file that I converted using FFMPEG (are there better tools for this?).  When I open the file in windows Explorer, works fine, but when I copy it to a virtual directory and access it via the HTTP protocol, all of a sudden WMP 11 does not seem to recognize the file and he throws some sort of abstract error which brings me here:

  Riddle me this: what could possibly cause this?  Either way, I tried to load the file into Windows Movie Maker, but it crashed it.  Well, wasn't so much a 'crash'... modal dialogue saying 'Import' appears and essentially takes over the machine.  I can't click anywhere wiothout get a "Ding" of the OS and my last resort was to end task.

  I never knew what the problem was... the file was fine.  I could open in WMP11 via file-> open and file-> open location, pointing to the same location over HTTP (virtual directory), raised problems.

  It should be noted that boththelinks provide information... If anything, I would say that it is the network at the suggestion of network, but the server was definitely upward - I had a feeling he might have something to do with codecs... maybe the server was to launch a crazy MIME type.

  I recently got my Facebook working again when I disabled my extensions at the same time. It was a mistake, but because by then, I didn't know what could be the cause of the problem. After activating one by one, do the reboots needed, etc, I noticed that the only time where Facebook will not load my messages or I would like / comment is when the Plugin of effective Community measure 3.1.0 (by effective measure Pty Ltd) is enabled. I thought that perhaps similar plugins or products of the same manufacturer are not compatible with Facebook and Firefox 17. IDK.

  Bottomline is: there is an extension/plugin that went rogue. There may be more.

  I looked at several positions with regard to printing to a Mac.  PrintDoc seems has a solution that can solve most of the Mac printing problems when other devices work.

  1 reset the printing system by clicking on Mac OS x: how to reset the printing system and following the steps exactly.  This will reset just the printing system to a new beginning.  This works for 10.5 to 10.7.

  2. download and install the driver package Apple has here.  This package will work for most HP printers.  There is a link at the bottom of the page of the driver to check that your printer is included.  If this is not the case, check the HP support and page drivers at www.hp.com for download the driver package for your printer.

  This will solve the problems printing on Mac systems when the problem is related to the Mac.

  I just wanted to share this information, as it seems to be a problem that arises, and who has an easy solution.

  You can try to reset (power off / on) of the router.

  Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.
  
  You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

  Here's how to get safe mode:
  Shut down your computer > turn it back on and immediately and repeatedly press F8 key until you see a black and white screen. The top/down arrow and select Safe Mode with network.

  One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

  Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
