Cannot load music in Windows DVD Maker

I created a DVD of photos for the graduation of the class of my Category 5e program and trying to add music to it.  The music program will recognize is music already in my computer from the "sample" folder  I tried to use the CD someone copied for me, I copied the music in the music folder, I joined a download site (Rhapsody) and paid for the music and we tried a regular CD bought in a shop.  Nothing has worked.  Where can I get the music that I can put directly on the DVD - I want that every one of my students to have a copy at home at the delivery of graduates!  My system is Vista... is that a problem?

It looks like your music files are not compatible with Movie Maker.

If you use Windows Media Player to RIP your CD with .wma as the
target format, you can import the .wma files in Movie Maker.

I made a movie in Windows Movie Maker using film 8 mm which was transferred to the files. The film came out great but when I go to 'release', or burn to dvd, it says Windows Movie Maker will save file and open it in creation of DVD to burn/publish.  About halfway through the movie, there is no 8 mm video, you can see all the titles, and hear the music that I edited in but no video.  I cut the video in half thinking there was too much data, I burned my movie with no other programs running, I changed all the transitions and titles in thinking that you might have a glitch.  I have burned about 10 films try something different each time without success. I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: This question could be associated with video filters in windows movie maker:

Create a movie with reporters off and then try to publish

To turn off the filters, follow these steps:

    In windows movie maker

    1. click on Toolsand then click Options.

    2. click on the compatibility tab.

    3. to turn off a filter, clear the check box next to the name of the video filter.

  • How reinstall/repair Windows DVD Maker? (Win 7 Home Premium) 'Add music' does not work

I recently moved my music on an external hard drive folder to exclude images during the backup. When I went to make a video of photos and music with Mindows DVD Maker (supplied with Windows), I found there is no function to 'Point' the program to the location of the music files. I brought back them to the location of origin, but when I go to 'ADD Music' button is not take me to get music files. I have a Windows disc or whatever it is with Windows DVD Maker Program on it. Will I need to buy a drive for Win 7 Windows to re - install this program?  A disc of Windows 7 will allow me to programs of "repair"?

  • Windows DVD Maker - a section will not play music

I used Windows DVD Maker to create a photo slideshow. I downloaded music and for some reason there is a break in the music after the second song. In the end, the last sang the fade in unfinished is not because there are not enough audio files. It works wonderfully for previews, until I checked the box to get the match audio and video to the top of the calendar. I tried to delete all the audio files and download them once again, but this is the same area without noise. I also "unchecked" to have the photos and audio to the height.

    Hi Jill,

    1. which is the file format of the audio file? What is .mp3?

    2. it worked before?

There could be some compatibility issues when playing .mp3 files in Windows DVD Maker.

You try to add another file in DVD Maker and check if it works.

Method 1: Check if the audio and video filters are causing this issue.

  • Cannot burn DVD in Windows DVD Maker

    Hello

I'm burning a couple of files wmv to a DVD. The two files together last about 5 minutes on a 120 minute DVD - RW. When I open Windows DVD Maker and import the two files, DVD Maker goes through the burning process, but towards the end DVD Maker informs me that he cannot finish burning "an error has occurred." It does not say what error or what caused it. DVD Maker itself I unchecked the filters in 'compatibility '; in the Windows Event Viewer, I can see the following:

DVD Maker returned an error code (0xC00D002F) when burning the disc.

Dvd creation engine returned an error (-1072889809) code when burning the disc.

When I check the events and the center of Microsoft's messages for the two error messages, I 'been found no results for your query.

How could I solve this problem please?

    Thank you.

    Hello I volunteer

Thanks a lot for your answer and the link of the encoder.

I got the encoder to work and 15 tracks (wmv) audio/video tracks I wanted to burn it to a DVD using DVD Maker, some 12 are corrupt. I don't know how they have corrupted or why, but there you are.

The strange thing is that if I use another burning program, I can play tracks perfectly - a drawback is that with other software, you can not burn the tracks in the order you want (they appear on the final DVD burned by alphabetical order), whereas the DVD Maker, you can organize tracks by using the Up/arrow keys.

I have not tried to burn on a DVD so I'll post back.

    Thanks again.

  • Cannot find Windows DVD Maker

Good then it's perhaps insoluble, but I can find more Windows DVD Maker on my computer.  When I open the start menu and select all programs, it's not here.  Is it possible to uninstall this program?  If I managed to do is there any way I can restore it on my computer?

    Hello xDUngeoNMastERx,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Windows DVD creation is located in %ProgramFiles%\Movie Maker\DVDMaker.exe.  You should be able to create a shortcut icon and place it in the start menu.  If this isn't the case, then I suggest you do a restore of the system to date, the program has been lost.

This should answer your question or solve your problem.

    System restore

I hope the information is useful.

  • Cannot open a project in Windows Movie Maker after the backup in Windows DVD Maker

I imported with success of media in Windows Movie Maker, Movie published by using Windows DVD Maker as a guest just so that I could see how it would look.  I was able to view what I had engraved on a DVD and was very happy about how he already produces.  When I returned to Windows Movie Maker and tried to open my project to continue adding multimedia elements to it, I can't open it - it tells me that it is not a valid file in Windows Movie Maker.  Can find my project in My Documents in the category Videos, I'm still not able to open it.  I wonder if I shouldn't have saved in Windows DVD Maker.  I hope that I'm not "all over again.

I would greatly greatly appreciate it if anyone can help.  It is a very special project for a class reunion.

This is the first time I used a forum so I hope I've submitted it correctly.

    Thank you!

    NancyLouse,

Windows DVD Maker and Movie Maker store files with different file extensions.  This means that if you named the file 'file Movie Maker' and the DVD Maker 'file' file the real file names would actually file. MSWMM and file. MSDVD

To display the extensions on all the files follow these steps:
-Click on the ORB to start and Control Panel
-In Control Panel, click Classic view in the upper left corner
-Click on Folder Options, click view
-Scroll to "Hide Extensions for known Types file" and uncheck this box

The search in the folder now where you saved these files or use the search function, you should see the 2 different files.

What version of Windows are you using?  If the Windows Vista Ultimate and the file has been deleted somehow you can be lucky.

Vista Ultimate is a feature called previous versions.  To restore the file back to it's previous state, you can do a right click on the folder where the document has been stored (if the Documents may start, right-click on Documents) then go to properties

-Click the previous versions and you will see the dates corresponding to previous versions of the file you are looking at.
-Select a date and time that corresponds to when the file in this folder was in operational condition and double-click the file to open it

Find the file in the folder newly open and drag the file to your desktop (be sure not to drag to the exact location where the file was initially as not to overwrite the file).

    I hope this helps

  • have windows on Vista Developer, tried to install Windows DVD maker but doesn't seem to work, cannot publish the movie on DVD HELP

I have the windows Director, went to Microsoft and tried to download Windows DVD maker but does not appear to have installed despite me try it 3 times, all I want to do is publish a movie!

On Vista, Windows DVD Maker requires that you have Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.  If you have one of these versions, you should already have Windows DVD Maker and Windows Movie Maker 6.0.  These versions of Windows Vista are required to have copies under license from MPEG-2 to make a video DVD.

I was not aware of a separate installer for Windows DVD Maker, so I suspect you look at something of a 3rd site part. If it is a Microsoft site, can provide you the address you use?
