My computer has virus of the FBI, I wiped it is clean but now it cannot connect to intermet because it can't find the network driver how can I find it?

Since you have formatted the PC and reinstalled Windows, your question will be handled better in the hardware forum space and drivers for Windows 7, so I'll move it there.

Apparently, you need to install the driver of your PC network. If you used the CD to restore the PC manufacturer that should have been included, but it may be on a 2nd CD with drivers and programs.

If not, the first thing to do is contact the PC manufacturer to see if they have a driver available for download. If the PC has a wireless network card and wired, perhaps one has been configured, but not the other and you try to use the not yet detected and installed.

  • Problem with external HARD disk - cannot mount the mac partition and can't unmount the partition windows

    Hi all

Need your help. I have problems with my external hard drive. I worked on it yesterday when the cable is a little detached and disassembled my intestinal HARD drive.

    Here are the specs:

1 Macbook Air 11.5 "running on El Capitan (10.11.1)

2 Buffalo Ministation external (1 TB) HARD disk divided into two: a Mac partition (for time machine) and the other a windows on FAT32 partition.

Before the accident yesterday, it was working OK.

Now, when I connect the HARD drive, it turns on but the Mac partition cannot be mounted (it does not appear on the Finder. I opened disk utility... just load forever and does not work) and the Windows partition is visible... but I can't take it apart without turning my computer.

I can assemble and disassemble a USB stick very well.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Maybe you can explain a little better.

I would like to make some general comments before having your replay.

It is not wise to use TM on a disk with apple unformatted or partitions, it is preferable to have a dedicated TM drive also.

For TM, the rule is that the drive is about 3 times the size of the boot disk.

Normally you 'survive' a good step disassemble the drive external, but in this case with a another partition formatted on this subject, I'm not sure if that do not corrupt the disk, especially since the Windows partition is bootable. I have suspct the partition GUID on the TM partition table is corrupt.

I propose to start the disk completely: in DiskUtility select the 'higher' level (name of manufacturer) and the Partition, one OS X Extended (journaled) partition table Partition GUID. And use it only for TM, is not too big for this.

Have another drive formatted NTFS for Windows.

  • I can not see some files on my network drive, but can browse their

    Hello
One of our users are their files and missing files after the letter 'F' on their network drive. I checked on the server, and the files are missing on the server. However, I can browse to and open them. When I look in the windows explorer for this user, I do not see the folders and files passed letter 'F' But if I know the name of a file or folder that is there and manually type the name in the address bar, I can browse on him. For example, there is a folder named IBM. I see not the folder in windows explore. But if I type in the address bar (\\servername\username\IBM), I can see the contents of the file. If the files are there, but we cannot see them. So far only this user is having this problem isn't a question broad system.

I activated the hidden file parameter and it is set to show the hidden files and folders. The server is a windows 2003 SP2 Enterprise

    Thanks for your help

In the Explorer of-> tools-> view (tab), Folder Options->

In addition to checking "Show the hidden files and folders", try unchecking the "Hide protected operating system files" two lines down.  It will ask if you are sure you want to do this - simply replies 'yes '.

If it turns out that the system attribute has been applied to the file, you will not be able to change it in the Properties window.  You will need to use the "Attrib" command  See the following procedure article:

  • Cannot access the network drive after trying to change the shared folder.

I had a 80 GB drive connected to my E3000 for a few years and it worked without problem. I recently turned to a 250 GB Maxtor One Touch drive. When I plugged it, the router automatically creates a shared folder. I was able to connect to this folder without problem, but I wanted to share the whole score. When I made this adjustment and tried to save the settings, I temporarily lost access to the router. He gave me the standard page cannot be error message appears. When I got access changes seem to be made. When I try to access the drive of my laptop I get this error message, "the mapped network drive could be created", "the name specified network is no longer available". I rebooted and power rolled my router as well reconnected the drive.

I think that since you have replaced your hard drive, old settings are configured may still on the hard drive of old. You can change the users and group so that it syncs with the new hard drive or start from scratch (reformat the hard drive).

  • Cannot index the network drive...?

I was I big bear to Microsoft for 20 years now, but have something as simple as a network drive index terms (including XP and Vista was quite capable of) that now available in W7 is not a shame...
I can understand if you can add to a library, but you can't make even the indexing of files network.  You must make it available offline, which is not what I want, need and highly impractical replication 500 GB on my laptop of 300 GB.  In addition, don't want these files on my laptop for security issues.  Let us, index or add it to a library Windows can help you to find us our data instead of trying to force us into a way to data management that is not practical.
Windows 7 is very quickly becoming a larger more flexible maturity of Microsoft ' we wan to control the way that you do things "attitude.  From a functional point of view, it seems stable, but Microsoft's vaunted now "calculate and store the data of your way" in advertisements that I clearly know be set to FALSE.
In addition to all the people questions W7 installation and delivery are affected by, you managed to turn IE into the bloat-ware. On my laptop Windows 7 freshly installed with 3.0 Ghz and 4 GB of memory, it takes 4 seconds for IE open.  Firefox, Opera, Chrome all start and ready to go the second.  Installation of Windows 7, which cannot perform an "upgrade" on the key issue of product own drive hard, or without the help of sellers of shit like Digital River.   I don't understand why Microsoft is going in this friendly way extremely lay to make things very awkward and difficult for its customers.
Microsoft has managed to alienate their power-user and technical groups by the infantilization of the things down and removing some key features. Not too sure about the reason of this business like the OS market is about to get highly saturated and competitive... so lets to alienate our power users, those who innovate push us Microsoft into the business and residential community to make IE slow and cumbersome.

Maybe these Mac ads aren't too far from the truth...

    Hi KipperMN,

Thank you for using Microsoft Answers!
Take a look at this thread below, it can provide some ideas on how to bypass the indexing network drive:
If Internet Explorer takes a long time to open because of the "bloat-ware", have you tried Internet Explorer with no modules?
To do this, click Start , and then type Internet Explorer. In the results, you should see Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
Often what I saw is the first time that IE opens, it may take a second or 2 longer than usual. But every time after that (because it is loaded into memory), it is very fast to open. Also, take a look at the following thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/thread/72dd379e-bb28-4342-91ec-472d9af83ab7
You're talking about Windows 7 "withdrawal of some key features. Is there something specific that you don't see?
Overall, I'm sorry that you have had a bad experience with Windows 7. As Steve says, giving feedback is the best way to improve Windows.

  • HP Pavilion dv6t-7000: want to boot from the cd drive, but can't get the UEFI bios

I try to perform a simple boot from a CD/DVD on my HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 portable player.

After I bought it, I divided the hard drive into two partitions, is win8.1 and the other win7.  I tried the boot menu (by pressing ESC when it first starts) and the possibility to enter the BIOS.  However, he will just immediately go back to the start menu, inviting you to select win8.1 or win7.

Pretty frustrated at this point.    I watched a video on youtube where the guy said go to the bios UEFI and toggle the settings, but I can't even BIOS.  Shouldn't UEFI recognize that there is something in the CD/DVD drive and ask if you want to boot from it?      Thanks for all answers

After tapping Esc and get boot F9 menu-tap Options. Use the arrow key to move down and highlight / select the CD/DVD and press ENTER.

    Evening,

I replaced the HARD drive on my laptop and used the sony recovery media kit, but the error message "can not configure windows to run on this hardware of computers.

The HARD drive is a Toshiba of the same style and size. Sony sent me two sets of disks, I replaced the HARD drive twice still have exactly the same problem.

Any ideas before using it as a target would be useful.

    Thank you

It is possible that the new hard drive, you bought are 4 k sectors and not 512 KB, which is necessary to make it work properly.  If you have a practical clean Windows installation disc that give a try and see if you encounter the same error...

  • Cannot read the OS DVD, but can read the Diag CD sata disc?

    Greetings,

Laptop is the famous brick of overheating creatively titled DV6416CA.

I had to format the new hard drive after the original hard drive fried. (HP says too bad with that in short).

It now sports a WD3200BVET which is sata 5400 320gigs. I had installed Windows 7 during about 6 months now.

It was great. Life was good. I was happy. My daughter, wife and mother-in-law all used to watch movies online.

Then they got a virus that has rendered useless map of wireless network and in the end, I was told by 2 different specialists to give up and reinstall. So I said OK. I'll reinstall with the same dvd that I used last time. But it was not to be.

Somehow, I can read the diag cd I have but when I insert a dvd of Vista (a real one) it will not read it. He tries, but giving up at the end I tried the DVD (the original one) and also one dvd of Windows 7 on 2 other workstation without problem.

Therefore, I can not install the OS from scratch on this laptop using the DVD player.

The BIOS is also sport all options, for example, the IDE compatibility or such.

Just the phone does not have a DVD OS...

    Thanks for the help

    Antoine

PS: with 3 generations of angry women, waiting for this I need all the help I can get! LOLz

Perhaps because it is the laser burnt out or defective DVD it reads cd but not dvd. Have you tried to boot from XP cd?

You could try a 4 GB USB Flash drive to create a W7 bootable Installer.

  • Impossible to mount the persistent drive - trying to deploy the first pool of offices and do not. -View composer agent initialization failed

I am currently deployment of VMWare view for the first time in a test environment and have hit a problem I have not been able to get around despite several searches on google and trial and error.

Hoping that someone here could suggest something.

View the VMWare versions are all 6.0.1.

    vCenter is on a device.

VMWare view connection manager is on a 2012 R2 VM server.

VMWare view dial is on a separate server 2012 R2 VM.

    I have a 2012 SQL on a separate server 2012 R2 VM Server installation.

SQL databases have been set up for the composer to be able to reach it, it uses ODBC 64-bit via SQL Server Native Client 11.0.

I tried troubleshooting by exchanging 32-bit, but this is not connected, it seems so 64 bit is correct.

I have a windows 7 64-bit Enterprise Edition VM under my Golden image. There are VMWare tools on it and the VMWare agent on it.

The virtual ipconfig/release performed top machine, he was then stop and a snapshot taken as my source.

The problem is that when I go to deploy a pool of offices, I get the above error.

If I connect to the VM created via vCenter readers persistent and temporary show very well.

Based on the error, I tried different settings such as change the path for the reader of DVD VMs of D: to Z:, spread unique persistence and the temporary disks on multiple data-stores or data stores and even remove the drive of DVD of VMs completely. I have also looked at newspapers under composer view but find nothing to explain the behavior.

SQL Server seems to work for configuration through the error logs and virtual machines are created and added to AD as expected.

I must point out that the virtual machines are as linked clones.

Can anyone offer a clue as to the cause or something, I can check it please, did everything I can think and Googling the error does not come to the top with something useful so far.

    Thank you
