  Compatibility tab and disable all filters. If it's

  Sometimes one. WMV file can be repaired by opening

  Seem redundant, I know, but it will create a new version
  of the file, this might work.

  M4A is not a compatible format. The simple solution
  is to convert .m4a files in .wma format and
  then import into Movie Maker.

When I open windows movie maker and click on "importt" I find my photo file and select one of the video clips and try ti import it.   Thank you for posting.  You will need a 3rd party software program or conversion to convert .mov to another type of file that will be recognized by Movie maker.  There are a few conversion tools free availible.  You can use your favorite search engine to find some of them.

  I seem to have the same problem as tantoe but when I clicked on the link in your message, it took me to the page, but the person's recommendation was not good; It (don't remember the name) had two links to click & when I clicked on the two I was redirected to a page that says that the page could not be found.

  The song with that I have a problem is "I'm in love (with a killer)" by Jeffree Star &, as with all my other audio files that I did NOT have this problem with, is mp3 format. I have a video in mind with this song & pictures I saved star but Windows Movie Maker cannot import it.

  If there is anything you could do, advice you could give, I would really appreciate it. This is my favorite song by Jeffree Star & it drives me crazy not being able to import it into Movie Maker. :-/
