  I uninstalled Adobe Professional by using the uninstall program (then emptied the trash and restart), then reinstalled Adobe Professional from disk (and restarted).  After the reinstallation, I always get the same problems, even if I get no error message until Adobe Professional updates from 9.0 to 9.2.  Before the upgrade Adobe, v9.0 attempts to print to pdf just act as the pdf is created (no error message), but I do not get a backup fast, nor is a new pdf no matter where the document is located.

  With OSX.6.x, the possibility of using the Adobe PDF printer has been lost. See the ad at the top of this forum (known issues with Snow Leopard).

• Adobe Acrobat 9 installed, but cannot read any PDF file from a browser window

  I have a PC with Vista new(-ish) and had Adobe Acrobat installed v9.  However I can not open PDF files when you try to view in a browser on a web site.  IE8, Firefox, and Chrome all produce the same error that says I have to install Adobe 8 or 9.  Resulted to searched 'Manage Add-ons' and found Adobe.  Drove around but can't seem to find a way to solve this problem.  Any ideas?  This seems so basic that it is hard to believe that it happened in the first place, and (b) that there is not an obvious way to fix it!

  I have exactly the same problem but with Windows XP SP3. Unfortunately, I can not install different browsers because of security controls in the DoD. It wasn't a problem with Adobe Reader 8.1.6 installed as pdf would open in IE7. Until I installed Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.2 is that it became a problem. IE7 crashes just trying to open a pdf file. Even if I try line Open all File Types and select a local pdf file, it crashes always upward.

  I went through every possible case, IE7 option and registry permissions without result. Adobe support leans on it. I think it's a matter of ActiveX control (file).

  When I download the files, I put forefox to put them on the desktop. Even if I haven't changed this setting puts them in the temp folder. I tried to reset it several times but nothing has changed. If I download podcasts he always goes in this folder and windows media player starts to play.

  OK, I found the solution for this. Go to tools, options applications. Edit the file in MP3 format to save the file. It worked for me. Good luck.

  Please, try the following

  1. connect to the workspace

  2. navigate - administer - Reporting and Analysis - Services

  3. in the list of services Services of Framework RA right click and select Properties

  4. If you scroll down a bit you'll find a setting JAVA_OPTS

  5. Add the parameter mentioned above - Dgcsleeptime = 15

  6. save the changes and restart the services in a right-click and restart

  Hello. I have a PDF form that has a text box. If people type a lot of text in there, a scroll bar appears so that someone who reads the form allows to scroll up/down in this text box to read all the data.

  I placed this PDF file in a new InDesign file. When I export a new PDF file, the text is still there, though, he is no longer scrollable. If I highlight the text in the box and drag my slider lower, I can highlight "invisible" text that matches the text that someone would normally scroll down to see.

  Is there anyway I can 'keep' scrolling form PDF > Indesign > new PDF?

  The PDF file that has been placed in ID loses all interactivity and form fields. There is no way to do what you want.

  Wow - that was a whole sentence, huh?

  Are the applications that you are trying to install from the CD or DVD drive?  If they are all CD, a CD of MUSIC playing when inserted?  If this is not the case - it could be your laser CD came out, but your DVD laser works very well.
