Cannot open attachments in my Inbox
Why I can't open attachments in my inbox, accept unknown senders, use the up or down arrows to read emails. I continue to have returned to the home page?
The forum is to post your comments on the web site of Microsoft Answers, only not to ask questions e-mail.
Since you don't mention which e-mail service you use, or you mention what application you use to access this service (although I suspect it is a web browser based on your mention of 'home page'), I am at a loss to suggest the ideal forum for your post.
If you are using Hotmail as your e-mail service, then ask in the center of Windows Live Hotmail Portalsolutions. If, however, you think that the problem is related to your web browser and you are using Internet Explorer, these forums can be found starting here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie. Be sure to choose the forum specific to your version of Internet Explorer. If you see error messages when you do whatever it is you do, please include the full text of this error in your new post.

Cannot open attachments in Windows Mail
Can not open attachments [such as wmv.] in Windows Mail
Unless I first save the attachment and then open it from the location of the saved file. After that attachments can be opened in WM until the next time I start the PC. Then I do the routine save - open again.
Help, please
Thank youTry this, instead of open Windows Mail on the part of the shortcuts to quick launch or desktop, or in the Start Menu, start it from "start |" All programs | Windows Mail' and see if your attachments open. There is a recurring problem between Internet Explorer 8 and Windows Mail that causes this and many people have been able to resolve the question drinking from Windows Mail in this way. Recipients cannot open my attachments when I send them with Microsoft works.
I have sent the same email to myself, and it does not allow me to open them.
Attachments are always a wps not doc files files. How can I change that. Please be specific. In the case where it is not heard, I wanted to tell you NOT to save MS Works in wps. Save them to the doc format.
You said "I have sent using Microsoft Works". This must mean that you have MS Works.

Smartphones blackBerry "BOLD": cannot open attachments to emails or send emails
I have the "BOLD" and it works very well for a month. Then, I got my Peral (an old that I dropped in the snow) to finally turn it back on and used the Fund Manager to transfer my contacts and settings of my "BOLD". Once I did that I can no longer use my "BOLD" to send emails or open attachments to emails. I get e-mails very well however. When I try to open the attachments I get the message "cannot perform more demand. Service book information not found ".
First of all, what is the book of service? because I saw another post saying try to reset but I don't know how I could go about this.
Secondly, any ideas on what I could do to make it work again? Is there a system restore? Or restore default settings to get rid of the changes I made when you use Desktop Manager to update my settings?
Thanks for any help!
Hello
On the Blackberry will first of all for advanced options options-host routing tables-press menu key and select Register now.
You will receive an activation message. You are now properly registered with the network.
The next thing is to send service directories. A service book contains information that configures the interaction between smartphone BlackBerry with the BlackBerry Infrastructure. It also allows specific services for your BlackBerry device.
In the Blackberry, use the email Setup icon and log in with your username and password and send service directories.
The attached link has pictures to show you how. You will receive an activation e-mail for each account that you have configured on your device.
You should now be able to send and receive emails and open attachments. Test it to make sure it works.
If you find that you can send and receive but not to open attachments, the second link will show you how to reset
your Blackberry attachment service.
Thank you

cannot open attachments with my firefox. My wife can with IE
with firefox I can't open attachments in my email. I was send these emails to the email of my wife. She's with internet explore by yahoo by AT & t and then I did no harm to open on his email.
Hello jrhjmh, you are a user of yahoo mail and it works when you go to yahoo mail via this link? : https://mail.yahoo.com/
Reference: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/971042
I don't know as to what exactly is happening, but it seems that yahoo has changed something on their side makes some old dysfunctional urls/servers (you can now use those because you have them bookmarked before or through your story)-at a number of other users have reported that...
so using the generic address https://mail.yahoo.com/ as a bookmark must lead you to the current url & work. -
Cannot open attachments in firefox. OK in IE and iPhone and outlook
When using firefox for the email, I'm now unable to open attachments. Happened over the last week, before that, it was fine and I have not changed any settings (that I know).
I tried all the usual stuff of restart and looked at the settings as much as possible, but nothing jumps.
Email attachments even open fine in outlook, since my iphone and in IE, but I prefer the firefox because I used to use it for so long now. In addition, old attachments that I opened in the past won't open.
Never had any problems before with opening of attachments. All programs are affected - word, excel, pdf, etc.
Thanks - Jacki

I can't open attachments on emails sent to my email for Microsoft Outlook - it has recently started to happen. Any can you please suggest how to change it, it occurs on all email attachments, even those I know are safe of them have opened on another computer.

It started just do this in the last 2 weeks. What should I do to get the Outlook Express to open attachments in the file of type, they are created
You will have to do for various types of files. I use PDF files for an example.
Create a file association.
1. download and save the attachment to the office.
2. right click on the saved file.
3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
4. click on: choose [default] program.
5. Select: Adobe Reader.
6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
7. click on OK.This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

Have you installed IE8? If so, that's your problem. The drones at microsoft will not acknologe this issue calling it a virus program incompatibility. If you uninstall IE8 yiu will probably be back in the business of making it easily, click on the link between communities at the bottom of the error message and analysis through messages until you see a link to uninstall IE8
