Original title: problem e mail
I click on the links in the email and get a box that says: "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" and the link cannot be opened.
Suggestions;
1. make sure that your e-mail program is your default program.
2. make sure that your Internet Explorer, or your main browser has all its faults.
You can do both of the above by following these steps...
Start button > right column, click default programs > click Set Your Default programs...
1. click on your e-mail program > it doesn't say "this program has all its defaults"?
If not, click on choose by default for this program > check all boxes below the list > click on save when finished.2 do the same as above for your Internet Explorer, or your main browser.

If I try and open an email with an attachment I get an error message: this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. create an association in the folders option control panel. Once there, I don't know where to go
What is the attachment file extension? If you know what program should open with, just do the following.1. download and save the attachment to the office.
2. right click on the saved file.
3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
4. click on: choose [default] program.
5. Select: The appropriate program.
6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
7. click on OK.This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now. -

I got rid of a virus, but it seems to have struck my registry. None of my programs opens. When I click on them, I just get a tip line that says no file association. I tried the system restore and it goes through the process of restoration, but then the same message appears, no program association. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Firstly, if your computer has been infected by malware, you removed and then use the system restore, chances are good, that the malware was placed on your computer.
Press CTRL-ALT-DEL and open Task Manager. Once there, click file, and then hold down the CTRL key and click New task (run). This will open a command prompt window. On the command line type assoc.exe = exefile > press ENTER. You should receive a prompt action succeeded.
Your shortcuts may have been separated as well. On the command line type assoc.lnk = lnkfile > press ENTER.
Click on the link below, download, update and perform a full scan with Malwarebytes.

I can't open my c or d ' training or any other when I click it
Hello
· Remember to make changes to the system?
This happens because autorun.vbs is created by a virus or Trojan horse. The virus normally loads the file autorun.inf in the root of the folder all the hard drive or USB key and then run the autorun.bat file which contains script to apply and merge autorun.reg into the registry, with possible change in the following registry key to ensure that the virus is loaded at system startup:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
USERINIT = Userinit.exe, autorun.exe
Finally, autorun.bat will call wscript.exe to run autorun.vbs.
When the antivirus software or security detected the file autorun.vbs as infected, the file will be deleted or deleted or quarantined.
I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below and check if the problem is resolved.
Method 1:
I suggest running the fix which is present in the article below and check if the problem is resolved.
When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505
If it does not help follow method 2
Method 2:
a. run the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del or right click on the taskbar)
b. stop wscript.exe process if available by selecting the name of the process, and then click on end process.
c. then terminate explorer.exe process.
d. in the Task Manager, click on file-> new task (run?).
e. type cmd in the box text open, and then click OK.
f. type the following command one by one, and then press the Enter key:
g. del c:\autorun.*/f/s/q/a
h. del d:\autorun.*/f/s/q/a
i. del e:\autorun.*/f/s/q/a
Where c, d, e each representative the drive letters on Windows System. If there are several disks or partitions available, continue to command by changing on the other drive letter. Note that you must also clean files autorun from USB flash drive or an external portable hard drive as the hard drive may also be infected.
If this does not help, follow the method 3.
Method 3:
a. click on start and click on run
b. type regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
c. Press ok
d. you will see a message DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in the successful shell32.dll file
Thanks and regards.
