Cannot open my Windows Mail account

I just downloaded suite ZoneAlarm internet security and the opening of my Windows Mail gave permission for the program to create the secure address list and now I can't open my Windows mail.  It is said that MSOE. DLL is not initalized.  What does that mean?

    Hello Seanowen,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Are you only had problems to open Word documents?  Did you always have this problem where he started recently?  Have you made changes to your operating system before this happens?  You have Microsoft Word installed on your computer?  What email provider do you use?  Do you use programs of e-mail associated with your e-mail, such as Microsoft Outlook or Windows Mail account?

If you have not all Microsoft Office applications installed on your computer, you can click on the link below and install Word Viewer.

  • Cannot open the application "Mail" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported

I work on a MacBook Pro mid 2012

    Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

    OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

The Mail app suddenly quit and when I tried to resume, I got this message

"Cannot open the application"Mail"because the PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

This also happens with the "Maps" app

All Mac software are up to date, but "Mail" has been working fine since my last update that was awhile ago.

I am confused to say the least. Suggestions? Thank you!

If you do a Get Info (command - I) on Mail and Maps applications, what version numbers do you see?

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

Go to tools | Options and uncheck the option to send and receive at startup.  See if that takes care of the problem.  He might try to receive before its ready.  Also check your settings under Tools | Accounts and checking accounts are configured correctly.  You can also try compacting and repairing the database to clear up all the weird questions (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and look out for interference of program part 3 (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).

  • Windows Mail accounts

I have two DISTINCTS Windows Mail accounts with two SEPARATE e-mail addresses.  I know how to add to a mail folder, but I need to keep them separate.  Is this possible? How?

    Use Message rules.
Open Windows mail > tools > Message rules > Mail > New.
Note: The rule for an e-mail address, rule #2 #1 for each other.
Under Select the Actions for your rule: when you have selected the action, also put a check mark on «Stop treating rules more»
See if you can do it yourself.
After the return when you run in question.

  • Cannot open the e-mail from Adobe Acrobat application

First of all, let me say that was exceptionally difficult to find somewhere I might actually post. I don't think it should be that hard, either I've missed the easy way. Eitherway, let me know if this is in the wrong place, because I am posting this now that I finally found somewhere I can actually post.

I use adobe acrobat X standard v10.1.2 (I think, should be fully updated without worrying) on windows 7 pro - x 32. I can open a pdf file and then click on the envelope to send by e-mail, and it brings up a side panel. When I tell the email attachment, it seems that if she does something and then disappears without notice. I tried as admin and same result, I troubleshoot compatibility and it came with xp sp2 and when I did, it says "cannot open the e-mail software" and when I run in administrator mode and xp mode it says always 'impossible to open the email software' on other computers it would be perfectly fine without a hitch, even if they are 64-bit could this be the cause? Also already tried to reinstall Acrobat and it did not help and tried to do a "repair" and that did not help either. So I'm really at a lost, unable to find any documentation on this error if were just troubleshooting using my typical procedures. I hope someone can help out me.

    Thank you

    HannersR

You are most likely in a problem with Win7 email client number. I'm not sure about AAX, but for older versions, the e-mail was through the interface MAPI Ms. Most of the time you simply make sure that your default e-mail client is specified in the default Windows programs. For some clients, you must enable their ability to use MAPI.

Not sure if this will help, but it is typically a Windows problem to solve because of the way Acrobat trys to interact with mail.

If your Web host/ISP e-mail allows using IMAP rather than POP is probably the easiest way.

Check with them if they take in IMAP support and how to configure your e-mail client (Windows Mail) accordingly.
