Cannot open the Outlook e-mail

·                                 My Outlook e-mail was working fine yesterday morning. When I returned after lunch to check it out, I couldn't. He ask server, user name & password each time but then does nothing. When I X out of the box, I get this:

There was a problem connecting to your e-mail server. Your password was rejected. Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR [AUTH] username/password invalid ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92

I tried everything I could find in my research for almost a whole day now, and it still doesn't work.

What's funny (to me anyway) is that I can send a message with this account in the term.

As you pay for your email service, your best bet is to call your service provider (AT & T) support and ask them to get away with you.  The error indicates clearly that you enter wrong credentials and if you believe that you are not, server administrators will have to straighten that out. I tried running Outlook.exe / resetnavpane because I see it worked for a ton of people - but I got the error message "cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook.  The command line argument is not valid.  Check the switch you are using.

This is almost always due to:

    1. you have an older version of Outlook that does not have command line switch.  What version of Outlook you have?
    2. you have not put a space between "Outlook.exe" and "/ resetnavpane.

There is a SPACE between 'exe' and ' / '. You didn't have that. That's why.

Please copy and paste it in the search box ot Run box... outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Why can I not access / open my outlook e-mail account? Recently, I can't open my microsoft office outlook account.  Whenever I try to open it it comes up with the message: cannot start microsoft office outlook.  Cannot open the outlook window.

I tried to fix it.  When it did not work, I removed & tried to re - install again.  It still does not work & I really need to get to my emails!  I am connected to a remote server, someone else is also related to the so they can access emails from same as me & they have no problems at the moment.

Try if it works. It does for most people, but one of the posters said recently he did not for him or her.
Start button > run > type /resetnavpane outlook.exe in the box > OK

Note (space) between exe and / '.

If you do not have the option RUN, use the start search box instead.

    Please post back the result.

This problem can be solved first Outlook.exe location which can be found here: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft Office\Office14.

  • Cannot open the application "Mail" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported

I work on a MacBook Pro mid 2012

    Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

    OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

The Mail app suddenly quit and when I tried to resume, I got this message

"Cannot open the application"Mail"because the PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

This also happens with the "Maps" app

All Mac software are up to date, but "Mail" has been working fine since my last update that was awhile ago.

I am confused to say the least. Suggestions? Thank you!

If you do a Get Info (command - I) on Mail and Maps applications, what version numbers do you see?

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • Cannot open the e-mail from Adobe Acrobat application

First of all, let me say that was exceptionally difficult to find somewhere I might actually post. I don't think it should be that hard, either I've missed the easy way. Eitherway, let me know if this is in the wrong place, because I am posting this now that I finally found somewhere I can actually post.

I use adobe acrobat X standard v10.1.2 (I think, should be fully updated without worrying) on windows 7 pro - x 32. I can open a pdf file and then click on the envelope to send by e-mail, and it brings up a side panel. When I tell the email attachment, it seems that if she does something and then disappears without notice. I tried as admin and same result, I troubleshoot compatibility and it came with xp sp2 and when I did, it says "cannot open the e-mail software" and when I run in administrator mode and xp mode it says always 'impossible to open the email software' on other computers it would be perfectly fine without a hitch, even if they are 64-bit could this be the cause? Also already tried to reinstall Acrobat and it did not help and tried to do a "repair" and that did not help either. So I'm really at a lost, unable to find any documentation on this error if were just troubleshooting using my typical procedures. I hope someone can help out me.

    Thank you

    HannersR

You are most likely in a problem with Win7 email client number. I'm not sure about AAX, but for older versions, the e-mail was through the interface MAPI Ms. Most of the time you simply make sure that your default e-mail client is specified in the default Windows programs. For some clients, you must enable their ability to use MAPI.

Not sure if this will help, but it is typically a Windows problem to solve because of the way Acrobat trys to interact with mail.
