Cannot organize Windows Contacts by last name
When I open Windows Contacts, the contacts are all sorted by first name (the full name, in fact). Is it possible to sort/organize the list of contacts by last name? This is how most people organize their address books.
Not with Windows Contacts, the feature set is not very good. Best thing to do is to Download Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail replacement, allowing you to sort by last name, in addition it is secured for contacts, in general, is much more functional.

I want to sort my contacts by last name in Windows Mail. How can I do this?
original title: sorting of e-mail contactsI seem to have a default setting that sorts my contacts by 'Name' now. I can't turn it off and sort by "Last Name" I was doing? I recently changed phones and synced the phone with an online database, but do not think it would affect Windows Mail.
Simply click on the column heading to sort by that column. Clicking once sorts ascending and click twice to sort descending. If you do not have the name column, then right-click on the column heading and choose more and select the family as a column name.

Possible to view contacts by last name?
Hello, I am just a BPA or it is not possible to establish contacts to display to the normal natural family first name format?... I managed to be sorted by family name, but it's total chaos because the name appears as the second which makes no sense to me...
Type 3 points, select filter and sort through everything that you need.

How to organize my "windows contacts" and alphabetize by family name?
I use Vista. "Windows contacts", I had my contact names in alphabetical order by family name. When I downloaded Explorer 8, my contacts are now in alphabetical order by "name". How can I change to the listed contacts and alphabetically by "last name" again?
Hi Theodore,
You can try the following steps and check.
Right-click on the column header bar and select 'more' and check the option ' name'. The column is displayed. You can drag it where you want and sort upwards or downwards by clicking on the header.
Alternatively, you can try the following steps.
a. right click on the Contacts folder.
b. change the display «Détails»
c. right-click on the 'name' column header, click on "First name", then click on 'Last Name'
d. click the title "Last Name" to sort by there.

E-mail address is associated with a name, but is not in the Windows Contacts
How to remove an email address that appears with a Contact name, but is not in the Windows Contacts?
How to remove an email address that appears with a Contact name, but is not in the Windows Contacts?
It's called "AutoComplete".
Windows Mail remembers the LAST 29 names that you used for emailing.
Next time when you type, say, B in the column to, Windows Mail the research paper and displays a list of names began with the letter B. The list may include names not in your contact list, but you sent e-mail to the names.
That must be the reason why you saw an address that was not in your contacts list. You have sent an email to this address.
Remember, Windows Mail keeps only the last 29 names. So finally the 'undesirables' addresses will be gradually. If you want to delete ALL AutoComplete entries, here is a link to simple instruction:
Note: scroll down to deleting all entries by semi-automatic email and follow the instructions there.

contacts first name last name live mail
I use Windows Live Mail on Windows 7. When I enter a new contact, he invites me to enter in the "first name" and "last name". I'm doing this, but when I use the contact in a new e-mail message, it always displays the contact as "LASTNAMEFIRSTNAME. I can outsmart him by reversing my entry to the first name in 'last name' and the name 'first name', but it's crazy to do.
In addition to say Ron, for future information, Windows Live Mail doesn't not part of Windows, it is a part of Windows Live Essentials. (Yes I know the name of this forum is confusing!)

How can I organize my contacts in Windows Live Mail
I am moving from XP Outlook Express for Windows 7 Windows Live Mail and I don't see any way to organize my contacts in different folders as I in OE. I have folders for different 'classes' of contacts - friends, parents, co-workers, etc. etc. When I send an email it almost always goes to a subset of one of these classes if I click on 'to', then select the analysis file it and drag the appropriate contacts "for", "cc" or "BCC". I need to see them all remind me which ones I want to sent to-I don't always have names at hand.
It seems that with WLM I have to browse ALL my contacts of 200 or more for every email! As you can imagine, this makes it practically unusable WLM. I know that I can create groups, but it is to send a message to ALL members of a group. I rarely do.
Please let me know if I'm wrong about this. If it's really as I've described, it appears as a problem and is being developed and there will be a solution in the coming months? If this isn't the case, I'll have to search for an another e-mail client.
Start by creating a category in contacts in Windows Live Mail:
- Press CTRL + SHIFT + C to open the Contacts .
- Click the arrow next to new , and then select the category .
- Select the contacts for this category, and click Save .
When you want to send a message:
- Opening of the Contacts .
- Click on the category.
- Hold down the CTRL key and click on who should receive the message.
- Right click on one of them, and then click Send Email .

Original title: ((Vista)) I can't install anything!
So, basically, I have a Windows Vista. I'm using Google Chrome, but that doesn't really count because I tried on all browsers. When I try to download something, it comes up with something like that... "Windows cannot find"C:\Users\User\Downloads\ ((name of the program here))". Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again. "This has nothing to do with a name of typing correctly. I'm downloading at the wrong place? If Yes, where can I download it?
