Cannot print just black and white - cannot print all black when a low cartridge
I had this 6700 Officejet just long enough the warranty has expired. Go figure. I have 2 problems.
1. from my PC, it will print not just black and white, even if I chose "printing black and white only. I have to go through the whole syetem of dialogue ect ect, which is delayed. It prints perfectly just black and white of my portable Macbok.
2. it won't let me print a document all in black and white, because I have a low color cartridge. Whey do I have to have color cartridges to print just a black and white document. Very annoying and frustrating. I'm almost ready to use as target.

1. you are able to go to your printer properties and change your settings for printing in black and white only, without having to change it whenever you want to print something. See the steps listed below:
* Go to your devices and printers
* Right-click on your 6700 and select Print Options
* Select your desired default and press Ok
2. you cannot print without all cartridges installed because even if printing black and white printer will still use the ink contained in the cartridges of color for maintenance tasks. It takes little ink from all cartridges in the service of the print head and avoid any clogging. To get a better understanding of take a look here: use of inkjet printers ink.

You must change the option replace supplies of "stop out" to "ignore the.
Go to the printer and use the buttons to select as follows:
the system configuration->-> supplies to replace print quality
Change to "stop out" to "ignore the.
When I open my black and white images that are saved on my computer in photoshop, they turn into color stills.
The footage was shot on Sony a7s raw format.
In Camera Raw, click LGV / tab grayscale and check convert to grayscale.
It will open with a mixture of default, but you can change the brightness of the colors according to your preferences.
When you are finished, click on open, allowing you to save a new version of the image in a non - raw, tiff, psd or jpg format.
my yellow ink is empty. I have a new 8610 to install but to print in black only to use this ink.
The Officejet Pro 8500 (like the Officejet Pro 8610) has separate printheads and ink supplies, with "plumbing" to connect. You have color ink available to keep the print head and plumbing butcher, even if you are printing black only (and in your case you don't care is if the color print heads clogged).

Has anyone encounter this?
I'm almost tempted to force garbage collection every 60 seconds that the application is inactive or something. Not the best way to handle this... I don't know where the leak occurs.

It started when my updater CC would not update. I went to help adobe forums and finally started the process to uninstall/reinstall. The specified item was not found.
Now I can't find a download for the CC updater. I am now without a creative cloud connector. I am always connected to LR however.
OK a google search to download updater creative cloud made me to the right spot. Adobe in my OP page apparently needs to reinstall link updated. I new CC and he's going through the motions. I have not lost any applications, files, fonts, etc... in the process

Here's what you need to do to change the settings for printing for Google Cloud Print:
- Go to https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/ and click on "Try it now" (you may be prompted to sign in if so, sign, then click the link again.)
- A pop-up will appear with your list of printers.
- Select a printer.
- Click on options. Grey_K will be black ink only, Grey_CMY will be high quality gray and color will be full color.

Can you please tell what cable do you use? Maybe a 4-prong cable?
I read on some sites that a cheap 4 pin cables could be a reason for a black and white TV. Try a 7 wire pins. Maybe it helps.
But as a first step, you should also check the PAL/NTSC settings.

PS: I n t think 60 Hz setting is responsible for the black and white problem.
Appartently in one of the software updates HP thought it was a good idea to your printer stops working when he was thinking about an ink cartridge is empty. In reality, there are always the ink left in the cartridge when the printer thinks it is empty and it is easy to see when an ink cartridge runs out. I was in the position of having to print and important black single document, but which the printer turned off because he thought that the color cartridge is empty.

1. go to your Start Menu
2. devices and printers
3. right click on your J4680 and select Printing Preferences
4. click on Advanced options

My Windows Vista PC completely stops unexpectedly and without warning. Sometimes several times a day and sometimes not at all. It is likely some equipment or device driver issue (although we can not entrierly a problem of software). I need a lot more information on this blue screen - EXACTLY what it says Word for Word with all the codes. Read the messages and follow the procedures established by the MVP of the spirit in the following thread on the Blue Screen of Death. A question, is your so hot PC anywhere on it that if you hold your hand on it, you will need to detach due to heat? Overheating is a common cause of this type of problem. Check that the fan doesn't work and all intake and exhaust ports are clean of dust, lint, or any other obstacle. If this is a desktop computer, remove the cover and clean the entire interior to remove dust and lint and anything else that doesn't belong. Make sure you do not loosen or detach the wiring or the accessories cards or RAM chips. Don't bother if it's a laptop - it's too difficult to get inside to do a proper clean-up - just make sure that the fan is running and that the vents are clear.

Someone please tell me that the guy I talked to customer service is a fool and there is a way to print black and white, once your color cartridge runs out of ink.
If this isn't the case, it's the cheapest clamp, all the money that I've ever heard of. Someone please tell me they did sink that low.
Printers that have individual ink cartridges (separate magenta, yellow and cyan) must have all the colors, mounted so as to ensure that the printhead to dry out and is not damaged. Some printers who have integrated print heads (that just take the 2 black and tricolor cartridges) have the ability to print in what is known as a reserve mode. That is where we remove the empty cartridge and is able to print a test page to determine if the printer can operate in reserve mode until a replacement can be purchased. The reason for the cartridges to install, is that the printer uses ink for other purposes in addition to printing. It is also used to maintain the printer. My HP Deskjet 1050 J410 on 64-bit Windows 7 is unable to print in black and white, even after selecting the option to do so. There is no error message, and the diagnostic tool on the HP site can not solve this problem too.
