Cannot read bittorrent movie on windows media player

I downloaded a movie from Bittorrent. Scanned it and his own, how can I get Windows media Player to read?

RS

There is absolutely no way of knowing what has been added or lack of torrents.  They cannot be infected (or your malware can just missed it), but this does not mean that they have been downloaded correctly or have been completed.

The other aspect is that you may need a codec for this particular file type.  What is the extension for it?

I would say that you can download the last packs of codec for Windows Media Player to the Internet and check out them. Make a search using your favorite search engine.

  • Cannot read the DVD with Windows Media Player

Running WIndows Server 2008 R2.  Desktop experience is responsible.  In my view, that it includes Windows Media Player V12.

Try to play the DVD.  The message "setting resolution".  Setting resolution does not help.

Installed K-Lite Codec Pack full.  Get the same message on the resolution setting.  Uninstall K - Lite Codec Pack now I get ' WMP cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer.

I'm a novice and dangerous, so no "step-by-steps" would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi MarkMann,

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for Windows Server on TechNet. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows Server forum.

Also, all my other media playing programs read the video but are rather "lag". • Cannot play songs from "m4a" Windows Media Player or Movie Maker, purchased & downloaded on iTunes songs

    My PC: Windows Vista Business
    Browser: Internet Explorer 8
Problem: I am changing a video with Windows Movie Maker. To add music, I bought and downloaded a number of songs with my iTunes account. The songs play on my PC only when you use the iTunes software. The extension of file on the songs is "m4a".

When I try to play one of the songs in Windows Media Player, I get the following message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. »

When I try to import one of the songs in Windows Movie Maker, I get the following message:

"More than a Feeling.m4a cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to re-import the file. »

Where can I find the "codec" above to download?  This will solve my problem?  Any advice to avoid this problem in the future?

    ==================================
M4A is not a compatible format. The simple solution
is to convert .m4a files in .wma format and
    then import into Movie Maker.

The following free Converter works for me...

    Free Mp3 Wma Converter
    http://www.download.com/free-MP3-WMA-converter/3000-2140_4-10442362.html
(FWIW if you install the converter, you can uncheck
offerings from Yahoo and Dealio) (also... you can uncheck
the CD Ripper and Easy MP3 Cutter)

    ==================================
I joined just thinking... the free VLC Media Player
and or Media Player Classic allows you to 'play '.
your files of .m4a... but they will have to if conversion
you want to use in Movie Maker.

Media Player Classic for Win2k/XP 6.4.9.1 Revision 89

the file you want to download is: "mplayerc_20081210.zip")

I tried to hear an appeal of a Web conference. Received a message, necessary plug windows media. Check my plug ins, no windows media. Reading about firefox support tutorial. Clicked on download. Had a window that requires repair or change. Tried to fix it and then change. Need better guidance on how to finish download. Download the message passed, but after firefox closing and re-opening, no still no plug-in for windows media in the list of plug-ins. Go to site and could not hear Conference.
Reading support forum. Message while using about: config. Tried, typed in on: config in Start menu, but do not see anything that looked like I could change for real like message said.
solved by opening internet explore and go to the website and listen to the conference call on windows media player. There was a message saying: If you want to enable media player click here. Not so heard Conference.
Tried using chrome. You have to listen to the Conference yesterday. Today, he had the same message you need to plug in when I tried to follow the instructions in connect, it was just as confusing and useless like firefox. Most is that I tried to make any statement in the suggestions forum for firefox and can not get the windown media connect to appear in my list of plug-ins and can not hear calls for conference on firefox.
Chrome said that they worked on connect available to the chrome store.
I agree with the comments that I was able to go to web sites and to hear the calls before firefox did an update that removed my windows media plug. The fix simple download, two from windows, does not, apparently because firefox cannot find the fix. This isn't for lack of user, and it seems that windows attempted to provide a fix, and firefox does not recognize.
Bottom line, it is easier to use another browser, that trying to get windows connect multimedia player installed on firefox. What is a browser, if you can not hear an appeal on the Web site the browser will take you to? Please make it easy install windows media branch on firefox. Thank you..

If you get the screen to change/repair, it means that the Setup program has detected that you have already installed the plugin.

Do you not see the file here:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins

Its file name is: np - mswmp.dll

If the file is missing, I suggest to delete and then reinstall the plugin.

Edit: By removing and then reinstalling I mean using the delete button under the modification and repair buttons in the Setup program, and then run Setup to reinstall.

  • Cannot play a DVD in Windows Media Player

When you try to play a DVD on my PC using Windows Media Player, Real Player, etc.. I get an error that reads: "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection. Try to install a driver available for your video card. I searched everywhere for an answer and although there seems to be a LOT out there with the same problem, I can't seem to find a straight answer. All Microsoft support is appreciated.

    ===============================================
DVD playback requires a DVD decoder and the only versions
Vista that included in Home Premium and Ultimate.

Take a look at the following article:

DVD decoders are available at the following link:

FWIW... before installing the software, it is always better to create a system restore point.

And... you can be able to play your DVDs with the free VLC Media Player:

A last possibility would be to install a codec Pack:

  • Move the Windows Media Player files to another external hard drive

The hard disk that contains the files from my Windows Media Player 10 is dying.  I need to move the data to a new hard drive that I bought, but have not yet connected to my PC.  Old and new external hard drives are plug-and-play.

I have a lot of additional information to the library and want to be sure that I don't lose in the process.  However, I have not found anything in the documentation that tells me how to move my database from one hard disk to another.  Can anyone help?

If music files are in MP3 or WMA format, so most of the information is also stored in the files themselves, so that these information will be retained when the files are moved. There are a few fields that are not stored in the files, such as play account, custom fields and possibly star ratings. In order to preserve these fields during the movement of the library, you can use the backup of the metadata tool.
