Cannot read the old laptop hard drive attached again, says disk needs to be formatted
Original title: hardware device
I am trying to up load my old laptop the laptop to my new computer hard drive so that I can access my old files, but it is endlessly with need to format the new device this will clear all data? It only allows me to open the old hard drive at all? Please help I really need to have access to my old hard drive through my new laptop I have no other way to get the information out.
Hello
Yes if you format the drive it erases it's clean. Did you put the drive in the computer as the 2nd disc
If the computer still starts off the coast of its original disk? It's easier to do on a desktop.
You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or another USB
readers. Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.
Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data. (This can be done with the player in the)
original laptop. If the drive is viable (not totally dead).
Use Ubuntu Live CD to backup files from your Windows computer dead

The reader might have been damaged and may not be easily accessible. There are professional
companies that can recover data off a dead drive if it is a costly process.
Check with a real computer store (one that makes its own service in the House and no leeks)
and displays a Best Buy or other stores) or system manufacturer support.
I hope this helps.

I can open images but cannot move it to another folder or copy and paste pictures anywhere. The photos are saved in an outdated version of microsoft's digital imaging software. Help, please.
Hello
(1) is the specific question of the images?
(2) where the images are on the computer?
You can try the following methods and check the status of the issue.
Method 1:
Configure the computer to clean start State to check software conflicts. See the following link on how to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

In the past (2009 and prior), Windows Media Player has been able to play these MP3 files (consisting of language foreign podcasts). However, after all the updates

The reader can read the new mp3 files from podcast language site, however, there is no sound when he plays the old mp3 files. Even after you download the codec from CNET files, there still no sound when Windows Player running the old mp3 files. However, Itunes is able to read these files. What should I do to get Windows Player on my Dell Vista laptop to play these old mp3 files? Thanks for any help.

install the new laptop Hard Drive
Hello LR Adobe Support.
I have 5 LR installed on two computers one single office, another laptop. Hard drive portable c when the bad my Builder said I had a connection problem crossed that my programs would not start all the time. Anyway I did install a new SS drive can I install on my new HD LR? I have the drive both of the copies I own with serial numbers.
Thanks for your help
Barry
First of all, it is an open forum, not Adobe support... so MOST of the answers here are other users (and, the LR5 is an old version, so I don't think that Adobe provides support)
When you have a non-functional computer and cannot turn it off, click on the link below
Serial number and activation support (no-Cloud) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2041990 to adjust the number of activations
You install programs exactly in the same way you did the 1st time... Put your disc in the drive, and enter your serial number when asked

Satellite L735 - cannot start the backup of HARD drive
Hello
I want to buy a new HDD in my laptop a L735. Before doing this, but I need to back up the windows installation files. Whenever I try to do a backup, but it does not allow me and a message appears on the screen saying that it is not possible. Here's a screenshot of it:

Could someone help me with this please?
Kind regards

What you try to do is not the Windows installation files back up but the creation of recovery disks.
For some reason of original Toshiba recovery image cannot be found or detected on the HARD drive. I don t know what that you did, but it can happen if hidden recovery partition is deleted or partition structure has been changed.Do you have more questions?

Need to test the broken laptop hard drive but has strange adapter
I have a Compaq NX7400 and the screen is broken. I want to test the hard drive to see if that works, but it has a weird card. Does anyone know if it emerges because I can then put it in a laptop from work to see if it works?
This works. This is the main interface. It's called SATA... it has replaced the old interface IDE brass pin about 8-10 years ago. That the hard drive can be connected to a desktop computer with an open SATA data port and adapter and SATA power adapter; right interface is identical to a SATA desktop hard drive.

Cannot restore the files from hard drive damaged in disk utility
Questions
1. can I save my files/fix this problem without having to restore via disk utility?
2. What am I doing wrong / I can do to restore correctly on an external hard drive via disk utility?
Background
Last week when I turned my MacBook Pro 2012 I got stuck on the gray login screen. The progress bar moves very, very slowly and when he finished my laptop spontaneously restarted and repeated the same thing over and over again. Here's what I tried to do so far:
-Start in SafeMode: does not work
-Extended Apple Diagnostics/Apple Hardware Test: test results: no problem found
-Utility (recovery and valorisation of the Internet) disk: disk hard Mac (Apple HDD) and Recovery (partition) HD are not damaged, but the partition disk0s2 is (created after a failure; a year not logged - if it matters) and in 'check' and 'fix' the latter I get inconsistent error messages.
Disk utility error messages
Most often, I get this error:
The volume disk0s2 was found damaged and must be repaired. Error: This disc needs to be repaired. Click on the ERD.
Stopped disk utility check "disk0s2."
Disk0s2 volume could not be repaired after 3 attempts.
Error: Disk utility can't repair the disk. Save as many files as possible, reformat the drive and restore your files packed around the top.
I also received this error message once:
Wrong number of extended attributes (it should be 730585 instead of 730589)
Wrong number of access control lists (there are 1364 instead of 1368)
Save the files to external hard drive?
Before that I didn't even used/accessed Time Machine. I have a new HDD external, formatted for Mac. I created two partitions: backup and Time Machine (so I can start using it once I have find this current issue). When I try to restore disk0s2 external hard disk I get an error restore failed (252 or 254, I think).
When you drive is damaged, it is extremely difficult to make progress.
I recommend the lessee a spare drive in an external enclosure and install MacOS on it again. Then boot from that and you are back in business. You can use the full power of Mac OS AND additional utilities to recover your files.
More 350 000 files on your damaged disc are Mac OS - and those that can be installed in replicas of prefect by a new installation on a new drive. You can't Brute force 'all' copy of a damaged disc. What you want back damaged drive is not Mac OS X files - you want YOUR files. They are stored in the Directory/users in a folder with your short user name. with additional utilities, you can simply copy this directory, or use a recovery as data rescue program to get individual files.

Can not read the files on hard drive
I bought a new computer with Windows 7. My old computer running Windows XP and has a virus which disabled permanently. I want to recover the files from the old drive to the new hard disk. I removed the hard drive from the old computer and put it in the new computer. The new computer recognized and named E: drive. However, Windows Explorer shows "this folder is empty". But when I look at the properties of the drive E:, it shows that the old hard drive is 40% full. Why is it impossible to see the files in Windows Explorer? And how can this problem be fixed?
Hello
Check out the following and check:Method 1:Run a virus scanner and check:Viruses are known to cause these problems. Scan your computer for the Microsoft Security Scanner, which allows to get rid of viruses, spyware and software malware.
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expire after 10 days from the date of installation.Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.Method 2:Viruses may have hidden files, try the steps in the following link to view it.Show hidden filesHope this information helps. -
Cannot set the password for hard drive on the W530 with Intel SSD 520
Hello
I have a w530 with an Intel SSD 520 in primary hard drive Bay. Whenever I try to set a password for the primary hard drive, it doesn't stick. If I chose master + user or simply user, I will enter the password, it will take the passwords without producing an error and then just dump back me to the screen of passwords while leaving the disabled hard drive password.
BIOS is on the latest version for the w530 and SSD, the machine seems fairly normally operate differently.
Does anyone have ideas how I can activate the password? Thank you!
Hi, ctenorman
I did some research and came across this thread of Intel. There are a few people in the thread who were able to set the password on this particular drive. It seems that changing the BIOS "SATA" compatibility mode, set the password, restart, and then change it to "AHCI" worked for some, but not all customers with this player.
Good luck and let me know how it goes

Cannot delete the old folder separate disk windows
I had a system OS 3 for a while, Vista, Win7 RC and Win7 Pro.
Win7 RC is pleased and I want to delete records from his drive to free up space.
I took possession of the folder (including subfolders) windows and my account is an administrator with full control account, BUT when I try to delete the old directory of windows first it says I need give permission, I click on continue, she goes through the files, and then a box indicates that I need permission from account owner Joan to continue.
I'm logged into this account. This account is me, but when I click on continue, it says access denied.
It's the same with the old directory program files.
I can't delete, or the old directory of users.
None of them is used. All are owned by mey account (there are only two accounts put in place on my PC and mine's administrator.)
I am running windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed on my E drive.
The files that I want to delete are on the c drive.
How this computer to recognize that my admin account has full right, remove the obsolete operating system?
Thank you
Can archaeologist, you access the OS Win 7 RC?
If so, use it "Folder Options" in the control panel.
To all the "hidden files" readable.
You say that you are the administrator, you should be able to do.
You also try to remove Vista, as well?
Do the same with this.
Why you be "denied access" is... because these system files 'hidden '.
Once this has been done, you can now in Win 7 (the one you want to keep!).
In administrative tools, select 'Create and format hard disk partitions.
Right click on the BLUE bar, drive hard 'in question.
This will give you... .with a drop-down window, containing...
Opened.
Explore
Mark the Partition as "Active".
Change drive letter and paths.
FORMAT! -(Third, make just... use this format.)
Extend Volume... (This will be the second to be used, if the button remove one has not already removed those'hidden Files/Folders!)
Reduce the Volume...
