Cannot remove a later version adobe flash

I got a new update of firefox yesterday and have not been able to play all games since then, the game says update adobe flash, Ive had a flash update now for some time, the old version is the problem that I can't seem to get rid of it, the plugin page shows both If I never hit activate on the former, then the version latest also said never activate

The cleaner method is to use the uninstaller from Adobe to clear all Flash plugins and install it then from scratch. This article has a link to the uninstaller program: Flash Plugin - keep up-to-date and solve problems.

The quick and dirty method would be to delete the .dll file by hand. On 64-bit Windows, you can find it here:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

Plugins used by Firefox have this template file name:

NPSWF32_15_0_0_223.dll

If you do not want to keep only the last. If you do not find the previous plugin, you can search its exact path using the words: plugins page. To load this page, type or paste on: bar plugins in address and press ENTER.

  • Problem: Cannot install the latest version of Flash Player.

Impossible to download and install the latest version of Flash Player.  The installation program downloads very well but the installer will not download the Flash Player. I keep getting a message "connection error" the installer.  I checked my DSL connection and it works properly. I use Windows XP (32-bit) with FireFox 38.0.1 and Flash Player 17.0.0.169.  I had similar problems during the installation of the 17.0.0.169 version but after 3 or 4 attempts it finally downloaded and installed successfully. My Flash Player configuration is set to 'Allow Adobe Flash Player install'.  I tried to close FireFox and my Norton software on the security line during installation, but I still get the same error message. Is the latest version of Flash Player that is compatible with Windows XP?  Is there a problem with the Adobe servers are down? Thanks in advance for your suggestions on this problem!

  • Cannot install the update of Adobe Flash and am beyond frustrated.

For several weeks/months, I had a problem, install the latest version of Adobe Flash. My system specs are as follows:

    AMD 64 Dual - Core Processor 6000 + 3.0 GHz processor

    4.0 GB RAM

    Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit)

    Internet Explore 11

My problem started when they were updated to the new version of the program. He told me that I needed to install the update and so I went to the site and began the process of download, as I have done 1000 times before. Only this time, after I ran the program that I started having what I have my frustration has nicknamed "the gray area of death." when it comes to the part where the installation is supposed to to start you are supposed to to see the progress of the installation bar all I get is a solid shaded area with no bar in the middle. This has happened several times and I don't know what in the world to do about this. I went online and I tried to follow the many guides all with the same result.

Today, I went through my computer and close my firewall/antivirus protection/malware (even to the point of completely uninstall some programs) without success. I tried to update existing software. I tried to uninstall and install a new 100%. All the these have the same result. I know that is not the fact that I have a 64 bit OS because your site identifies it as a 64-bit system, so I should get the good update. I've tried everything I can think of (apart from wiping my entire disk which I won't do) and I'm at the end of my rope. Please help me solve this problem.

    Frustrated

    Hi lord_knikon,

I understand your frustration.  We have had several users report, however, we have not been able to reproduce.  This happens with online Installer downloaded from get.adobe.com/flashplayer.  We have not seen this with offline installation programs, posted at the bottom of this help page, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html.  Please try to use the Offline Installer and you should be able to get Flash Player installed on your system.

Note that Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader are two different programs.

Adobe Reader has been problematic for years. I suggest you download this PDF reader and see if it works.

If the attachment try opening with Adobe, save it first and then create an association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.

  • Cannot disable firewall to download Adobe Flash Player.

Original title: I can not turn off my fire wall

I'm turning my mcafee firewall, so I went to my control panel and clicked on the security systems and then tried clicking on turning off windows firewall and nothing open or nothing happened, so I could not turn off. The reason why I was trying to turn it off is so that I can download adobie flash player I had difficulties to download. Any help is appreciated.

Do not take into account the opinion of Praseetha K Nair who has misunderstood the question and recommend inappropriate actions.

To disable your McAfee firewall, you will need to open the McAfee program and do it now, NOT the control panel Windows Firewall settings.  Make sure that you re - activate again.  It would be preferable to set up correctly to allow the update rather than temporarily disable Flash.

You can also try to download the Installation offline Adobe Flash Player and run it like this.

Keep, I tried to install it several times but every time, he gets exactly 50% on the download screen and stops the installation give me something like this:

I use Firefox on Windows XP SP3 38.05 and most of the time it didn't really need adobe flash more but some of my other applications requires it. Is there another method I could use?

  • Cannot get the new version of Flash Player to work.

Sites of the New York Times and slate (it is today, although it started with the time two days ago and I have to him until today) said I had to update the player. Did links on sites, download and install shows as a success, but not good to get anything to work and sites are the new version is not installed as it still tells me to install it. Visit the site of Adobe directly to install it, which did not work. Verified through troubleshooting site and done everything I was told to do it, I went to tools, ensured that this script is activated as a Java script and the two were, does not need to change anything. Downloads closed then reopened browser (IE just before 9, OS Win 7 64-bit), not good, then challenged computer market, at least two times (at this time I lost count) and also not good. Anyone else noticed post indicating problems with YouTube videos and I have that too. I got some videos and for a very brief flash of time I see a red band at the top of the video, barely there quite a long time to read me, talk to me about something Flash Player. This was never a problem before downloading so I have no idea of what is happening here.

    Help.

    Hello Pacone

According to Walter, Microsoft Windows Vista comes with Media Player 11. So please could you clarify the application you are using? The version you gave I guess maybe it is Windows Movie Maker. Here is the link for Windows Live Movie Maker 2011. You can download the latest Live Movie Maker from here. http://explore.live.com/Windows-Live-Movie-Maker?OS=other

  • Cannot install the Edge because he is unable to remove the old version (shadow)

    And then the final message:

And then I click Finish and it closes...

What can I do? I'm stuck.

    Hi robhoeben_qvision,

Sorry to hear that you experience these symptoms of msi.

There was formerly a msi Cleanup utility, you can run to get out of this State, but microsoft it takes longer because of dangerous side effects.  Instead they now offer this troubleshooting page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651.

I just tried to run the MS fix it to the utility from this page which is a separate program that you download (direct link: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9779673&entrypointid=MATSKB).

    I chose:

    1. Accept
    2. Detect problems and allow me to select patches
    3. Uninstalling

The utility then gave me a list of my installed programs.  See if you can find Adobe Shadow and then see if the utility can uninstall correctly this way.  Once Adobe Shadow is deleted successfully, the installer of edge inspect should work fine.

Please let me know if it works for you.

    Thank you

    Justin

There are a few versions Adobe Flash installed a Flash Player interface in Control Panel. You can update Flash from there. If this option does not uninstall Flash completely and try again. However, there is another way to get Flash but you will need to wait for the next update try this way, or you can view someone elses computer. Here's how to install Flash without download. Most people get Flash set to update automatically. At the start of his computer Flash appears with the update and they install it. Once installed, you will find a folder for temporary files to Adobe and the flash.exe is inside the folder you can copy the .exe on a USB stick and install it on any other computer.
