  As you mention that the problem does not occur in the test account, then it is possible that the old user account is damaged.

  You can't "delete" a password, but you can replace it with a white.

  A guest account allows people to have temporary access to your computer. People using the guest account cannot install software or hardware, change settings, or create a password.

  Once the guest account is enabled, you will see the comments folder in the users folder and you will not be able to remove it. And when also disable you the folder of comments will be present, but it will not be enough space.

  If the comments have saved any file on your computer, it will be present in the folder of comments, it won't cause damage to your other user accounts.

  You should never use the built in the administrator account on a regular basis and the guest account is not intended to be used as an administrator account. The two should is disabled and only used when they are needed. You should do yourself a time account administrator and a standard account that should be used for everything that does not require an administrator. Administrator account must be used as needed.   Passwords are saved in the Keychain application located in your Utilities folder. You can search for passwords here. Normally when you change the password of an account, it needs to update this info in the keychain also unless you change other information like the name of the server.

  Quit Mail, find the passwords for the incoming server and outgoing for the account. Remove them in Keychain Access. Open Mail and provide the password when asked.
