Cannot run executable LabVIEW on desktop connection remote

I have a couple of executable files, which are compiled using a LabVIEW 2011 development system, installed on a Windows XP computer.  These programs run fine when I double-click the icon while sitting at the computer.

If I connect to the phone remotely from another Windows XP computer using Remote Desktop connection, I can use the remote computer normally except for the executables LabVIEW.

When I double-click on one or the other, I get the error message displayed in the attached file. The part of the text of the report has no useful information, just two lines that seem to be field for e-mail names.

What gives?

Remote debugging is not a good substitute because it requires the executable file already be running.

I was able to run two executables LabVIEW on desktop connection remote to a virtual machine of Windows 7 with 2 GB of RAM, running on a MacBookPro using Parallels Desktop.

This confirms that the problem was insufficient for memory resources.

I have a laptop running windows 7.  I'm trying to use the remote desktop connection to connect to my office.  The desk top is an Imac.  I have partitioned the hard drive on the Imac and am running windows xp home edition on the side of the windows partition.  It is this 'computer' and I try to access it via the desktop connection remotely from my laptop.  Thanks in advance,

The editions of Windows Home, if XP or Vista (and maybe even 7) may not be the side server to a remote desktop connection.  They do not contain the code necessary to accept the connection.

  • I am not able to make a desktop connection remotely through Citrix

I use Citrix to connect to my desktop of my computer at home.

For the last two weeks, I had connection problems. Sometimes it works, but more often, it isn't. I get the error message says the following:

"The specified remote computer could not be found. Check that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try to connect again. »

I know I type the correct computer name because it is saved in my drop-down list. As far as I know, nothing on my desk, computer or computer at home has changed, but the problem is incompatible because sometimes it connects and sometimes is not.

Basically, the steps I take are as follows:
    1. go on citrix. [company] .com
    2. enter my username and password and click Connect
    3. click on the desktop
    4. I get a pop up message saying I chose to open launch.ica coming http://citrix of Citrix ICA connection. [company] .com. What should Firefox do with this file?
    5. I choose to open with Citrix ICA Client Engine Win32 (default)
6 then I get another pop up message saying this program has known compatibility issues and Citrix ICA is not compatible with this version of Windows. -C' is the same message that appears still, and it's always worked before.
    7. I click on the program
    8. it brings me to a generic research office running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2
    9. I then click on the Start Menu and choose desktop connection remote
    10. I select the name of the computer in my office (which is default) and click on connect

That's when I get the error message.

Anyone know what could be the problem and how can I find a solution?

  • Login Creditials fail for desktop connection remotely using IP local. Connection via the hostname works very well in local intranet

Something happened that broke my remote desktop connection.

System-Win 7 Pro, with enabled Remote Desktop connections. (Static IP, router configured for port before any RDP to this system)

For a few years now, I had access to this system via desktop remote with all the problems. I have connected by using the name of the computer on the local network and have also connected using the public IP address with a problem. Name of user and password for one, way worked fine.

The other day there was a power outage or something, most of my systems was suddenly restarted or turned off, and my router had to be reset. Not sure if this is a coincidence of bad, but now the problem is that connection via the public IP address I get "your credentials did not work" when you try to connect. However, if I connect using the host name within the local chapter of the network of the same name to username/password work very well because they always have.

That's happened. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. My remote user cannot log on this system.  Help, please!

Thank you for taking the time to answer, it's really appreciated. I could solve the problem. I don't know how, but if finally started working again. I have reset my network card and reset IP address static of the machine, that I tried to connect. And after some back and forth with that, all of a sudden he was still working. I was suspicious that my router was causing the trouble because the login failure was due to the fact that I've been routed to another computer, even if the rules of the if correct port forwarding. I just he blamed on the PC from Gremlins. I'll keep this info for future use. Some how all refreshed and began to work again properly.

  • Cannot run executables in Windows 8

This issue has been resolved without doubt, but I couldn't find a thread in this forum to explain what is the solution for the problem below:

We have developed a software pacakge in LabView 2012 SP1. The installation works fine in all versions of Windows from (XP 32 bit to 764 bit Pro), but after I installed the software in a new machine with 32-bit Windows 8 (PC used to have Win7 and used to run the software very well), I get the following message:

"the vi is not executable for the full development" (several times in a single dialog box). "

The clues how to solve this problem?

Should I upgrade my LabView or is it easier to change two or three check boxes in the project settings? Also, I don't like how my installer will be as long it will run on the new machine.

Thank you for your help and future prospects for your advice!

  • Desktop connection remote - software to control print works not properly

Hello everyone, I'm having some difficulty in finding a solution to a very specific problem of remote desktop. For starters, the computer I can access as well as the laptop that I use to access is both running Windows 7 Pro. Also, I log in with an administrator account.

When "check printer Designer" of in Quickbooks, Checksoft software (who initially installed the printer "check Designer") is supposed to automatically open and I would like to choose a design of check printing. I am able to do this very well when you go to the local computer, so I'm a bit puzzled. Printers/programs not have the ability to open other programs in the Office remotely?

  • The deleted Remote Desktop connection icon and want to know how to add it back

    Hello

I have Windows XP Home Edition and a VPS service for Forex trading.  I 'accidentally' deleted my DESKTOP CONNECTION link remotely located in START / all PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMUNICATIONS and I can't understand how he put on my desk, so I can connect to my VPS.  I'll have to type MSTSC. EXE in the box to RUN whenever I want to check my VPS and Forex, results instead of having an icon on my desktop to use.

I tried to download SP3 again, hoping he would add the DESKTOP CONNECTION remote to its previous location in the menu START / all PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMUNICATIONS.  Then I was hoping she was send to office option or create a shortcut?  But my computer won't let me download it SP3 again on the existing SP3 file, so I'm stuck.

Someone has a very simple solution, how can I put back the link or shortcut DESKTOP CONNECTION remote on my desktop but it works correctly and also back to START / all PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMUNICATIONS to connect on my VPS service Office?  I'm totally Luddite as you can tell, so I don't know if there is a major or minor problem, but I appreciate all the support!

    Thank you, Jim Pinkerton

Open search and search for mstsc.exe, where it is found right click and choose open folder, item selected right click and choose send to desktop, create a shortcut, it will be back on your desktop.

    Hi Berhanu,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Remote Desktop connection is a technology that allows you to sit in front of a computer (sometimes called the client computer) and connect to a remote computer (called the host computer) in a different location. For example, you can connect your computer to work from your home computer and have access to all of your programs, files, and network resources as if you were in front of your computer at work. You can leave programs running at work and then, when you get back, you can see the desktop of your computer work displayed on your computer at home, with the same programs running.
