  Open Acrobat DC, navigate to the Edit-> Preferences-> General-> uncheck "Open Documents in a new tab in the same window.

  Restart your system & now try opening the files.

  Could you please tell the operating system that you have-Windows/Mac?

  What version of drive do you have?

  Perform the steps that are given below:

  1. try to deactivate the Mode protected, open Acrobat Reader > Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > uncheck enable protected at Startup Mode > OK > restart Acrobat

  2. If disabling protected mode does not resolve the problem, try to repair the installation go to help > Repair Installation.

  You can check on the Adobe site, but I don't think that there is such an option. You can upgrade an earlier version of Acrobat to AA 9, but nothing else. Access the products and select buy Acrobat. Then change to upgrade and you will see that only Acrobat is an option.

  I downloaded a pdf file of my account of Friesen press for reviews and the Adobe Acrobat Reader (link provided) domain controller. When I open the doc and start working on it, I can't save the file. After trying three different ways (save, save under and hit the Save icon), I get the same message: a big empty box with Save you at the top and (nothing else.)   The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

  One of my users try to modify a PDF file that does not currently have recognizable text. I understand that if nothing are recognized that you can't modify it until you run OCR.

  Although my agreement with Adobe Acrobat DC after choosing 'Edit PDF' Acrobat will automatically recognize the text on the first page to make it editable, even if for my user after choosing 'Edit PDF' they receive this error message:

  

  If I try the same process with the same document Adobe Acrobat Pro DC program automatically recognize the first page and make it editable.

  So my question is: is this problem that may occur because we are using Adobe Acrobat Standard? I tried to look at your site in order to know what are the features do not come with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, but could not find information on OCRing records automatically.

  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

  Modification of the functionality of scanned documents is not available for Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Standard DC versions 11.x.

  You have to upgrade to "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC" to use this feature.

  With my old drive, I could add zoom marquee in my toolbar, it is quick to use.  My company has updated everything and now we have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and I cannot figure out how to put the zoom marquee on my quick access toolbar.  Can anyone help?

  We could certainly help you.

  Open the file in the drive and go to "view > show/hide > elements Toolbar > see the selection & Zoom tools > Marquee Zoom.

  

  Once you select it, you can see the icon Zoom text scrolling in the toolbar, making it easier for you to access from there.
