The only thing I can't do with this printer is to scan documents on my Mac. USB connection and the wireless system works well. I can scan and send documents by mail to myself. Everything else works fine. Help, please. wfm1936

Hi there @wfm1936.

You will need to have the complete driver installed for the printer on your Mac, features in order to scan to your computer.

Click on this link, download the driver and follow the installation steps until it is complete. You should be able to analyze later.

Please keep me informed of the result!

    Hi Matt,

I guess that you have one of the latest versions of OS X?

Below is the link to get the software for the Mavericks (10.9) or Yosemite (10.10):

  • HP Color Laserjet Pro M477fnw: Scanning for MAC

I tried to analyze documents on my Mac for my printer without success.  I am connected to the wireless printer and I am unable to print to the printer with all the problems.  The scanning portion connects simply cannot.  I followed the instructions in the HP utility, but wasn't able to scan once the process is complete.  I also contacted HP and the representative said that he could not help because he was only qualified to help with Windows products only, but no one was available to help with Mac products.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

It seems that I found a solution within the Mac itself in the application of the United Nations the HP Easy Scan icon and image caputure icon and mapping it and it prints in these environments.

  • Scanning for HP PhotoSmart 5514 all in a series of questions

Hi there, I got this printer as a gift today and all checking to make sure everything worked alrlight, I came across a problem. On the side of wireless printing side and everything else seems to work fine, except for scanning.

    Here's what happens:

    1. the printer tells me that it cannot connect to my PC (even if it is connected wireless).

    2. my PC does not load the HP scanning program, and as he tried to pass the main Actions "Scanner" does absolutely nothing.

    3. scan of the computer is enabled on a permit, he said the printer is connected and I can see the computer in the list under the printer, but then it tells me that it cannot connect.

    Here is what I tried:

1 restarted the computer to try to refresh the drivers.

    2. has tried to update the drivers.

    3. the program doctor help HP for the digitization of Ran, he simply told me that there is a driver problem and he could not remedy.

    4. uninstalled, rebooted, and then reinstalled the HP software that came with the printer.

None of this has worked so far and I have a printer that print but not scan. I hooked up wireless for my computer, I was able to portentially USB plug it, but I was trying to avoid that if possible. I'm pretty positive, there is a problem with the driver on my computer, but don't know what else to try. Any ideas to get this to work?

Managed to get this corrected my own actually. I ran the HP Scan Doctor again and realized that I could skip the pilot error and after that it ran on the rest of his Coachman he managed to solve the problem of scanner. Thanks for all the help on the forums.

    Hi Skoot,

The link above refers to the firmware, not for the software, these aren't the same things...

In the configuration Menu, select reports, then the Config report.

In the product information section, which is the listed firmware datecode?

  • Cannot scan with my Photosmart 7510. Installed any printer software

    Windows 7 64 bit

After 10 hours on the phone with HP support, service Cloud and a HP escalation Manager, I can do everything except Scan.

After that the escalation of HP Manager allows a 'scrubber utility' to completely remove all previous, all HP printer software now runs on my printer except SCAN.  From the printer control panel, it says: "make sure that the HP printer software is installed.  Since the PC when you select the HP Scan utility, is said: "HP Photosmart series 7510 not found '.

    Help please!

This has been fixed by a HP escalation Manager today!

Apparently, when windows is an update of security for your computer (Windows 7 in my case), it disables the ability to scan your printer because it doesn't recognize as valid a device on your wireless network and disables it so.

We had to reinstall the printer as a new wireless printer and then 'activate' it as a scanner.  After having done that, you should have a background running which is called, "HPNetworkCommunicator.exe" process Now, I can scan the computer, as well as from the control panel of the printer.

  • y at - it printing HP and doctor Scan for MAC OX 10.9.3

I have a HP OfficeJet 7610. I had connected to my network, but has started to have problems - he would not receive print jobs. Says it is offline. Then my modem/router is down. Got a new and had to change the network name and password. The wireless configuration wizard and the HP utility stepped through it all, but I can't get it connected.

    Hi EAMcGhee,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I'm sorry to hear that your router has come down to you doing so not being able to print with your Officejet 7610 but I think I have an idea of what the issue could be and would be happy to share this knowledge

In my view, the problem is that the printer is now on another network, and when things were initially put in place, the driver has been associated with your old network. To remedy this, or see if I am hit the nail on the head, I wish allows you to start by resetting your printing system (do not re - immediately add the printer), and then perform a check/repair disk permissions. Once those completed, restart your Mac and re - add the printer before trying to print again.

I would like to know how it goes for you!
