Cannot scan to PDF with HP Laserjet 3015

I am so frustrated with this new computer and Windows 7.  I can't understand how to use my Laserjet 3015 of scan-to-one. PDF.  Any suggestions?

Hello, Sara C.

You can download the manual for the HP Laserjet 3015 and then visit the pages on digitization.
You would need to scan to a section of the file.

Click here to download the manual. If you're still having problems, then I suggest you contact HP or check the HP forums, as they would
be better informed on how to use their printer/scanner.

I hope this helps. Marilyn

  • Help me buy a new all-in-one which will scan to pdf with preview multipage

    I need a new all-in-one, like the OfficeJet HP 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer, which I watched in a store.  The box was not clear about the capabilities.

    What I do with old HP all-in-one on an old XP, (11-12 years) old machine is scanning documents to preview multipage PDF, so I can adjust the margins and other things, and if I did not have many PDF files for a multi-page document.  I do this a LOT, I need, it is not a such PITB.    I have not found a way to do this with the printers I have, my new computer so I have to go do it on a slow XP machine in another room.  I can only print at the old printer to my new computer.

    I'm used to using the HP, but those I have is old, my old XP machine (6 years) so it is more reliable and my new computer Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit, and Windows 7 drivers for my old all-in-one are not full function, if they still exist, plus we have several computers and tablets on our network now.   None of the older all-in-one I will do what I need for my new computer, if they'll even install (you look, Dell).

    What I need to know, it's done with Windows 7 on HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer?  (Scan multipage PDF with the HP software preview.) The info on the box was not clear.  If not, is there a model preferably wireless all-in-one that will work for me?  I can plug it into a USB port on my new computer, there are several USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports.  I would like to be able to print wireless from other devices, but this isn't a deal breaker.  I don't want to have to download a few fragmentary shareware or buy a high price to accomplish what I was able to do with the software before HP, on old all-in-one.

    That's what I needed.  Why hell isn't in the ^ & *) & ^ % manual?

  • HP 5520: Cannot scan multiple pages with 5520 Scanner HP on Mac with Yosemite

    Hello, I am unable to scan several pages using my HP 5520 on my new iMac with Yosemite. I can scan only one page. The answers solved on this page are old and I can't make them work. Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hi @goldenm,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    I understand that you cannot scan multiple pages with your HP Photosmart 5520, on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. I'm happy to help you!

    What happens when you try to scan several pages? Do you get any error messages?

    In the meantime, try the following steps:

    How to scan multiple pages into a single file with HP Scan?

    Load the document and use HP Scan to scan and save as a file of several page.
  • How to scan color PDF with Photosmart 6520

    How to scan color PDF with the Photosmart 6520? They only appear on my Mac in black and white and I don't see any option to specify the color on the device.

    Hello
    The workflow default scanning set up to scan documents in black and white. Be sure to change the settings for scanning to scan color documents:

    1 open the HP utility and select your device.
    2. based on Scan Settings open the "Scan to Computer".
    3. click on the tab scan tasks.
    4. Select the affected shortcut and click on change... (or double-click on the shortcut).
    5. in the section of scanning from an HP device, click the blue triangle or button view details to expand the menu.
    6. in the expanded menu now, open the drop-down next to the Mode
    7. now select the color option, and then click OK to save the changes. The next scanned using this workflow is displayed in color.

  • LaserJet Pro M127fn MFP: MFP M127fn - cannot scan to PDF

    I just bought this all-in-one printer and I cannot understand how to set up to scan to PDF.  I installed the software from the CD, then tried to install the software from the web site.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe and do not yet have the ability to scan in PDF format.  I found a post from 29/07/2014, but did not include the statement: "once the analysis of HP software, click on save as PDF."   I spent half a Saturday search and try any solution that I could find, but still no luck.

    Hi @JanieBird ,

    I see that you have problems scanning to PDF. I will do my best to help you.

    Here is a document for scanning with the HP scanning software.

    The analysis of Windows 7 with full software features HP all-in-one HP LaserJet printers.

    This is a screenshot of the HP scanning software that you should see. You will see all the options for scanning of. Do not take into account the model number.

    Download and run the Print and Scan doctor if you are still having problems. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically. Find and fix common printer problems using the tools of diagnosis HP for Windows?

    What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • Cannot send the PDF with Outlook Express.

    PROBLEM SENDING FILE PDF WITH OUTLOOK EXPRESS.

    Here's what's happening.  I created a PDF file in adobe 4 pages, I can reach the PDF file to a mail sent in Outlook Express, but I see where he treats of it says part 1, part 2, part 3, all the way to part 7, when there are only four pages.  The recipient gets 7 different emails and cannot open an any of them.    I have a yahoo email and I can send the PDF file there.   Just frustrating.  I use Windows XP.  Not familiar with computers but I would like someone to tell me the problem.  It has worked before and I don't know what happened to create the question.  Thank you.

  • Error when scanning to PDF with OfficeJet J6413

    Hello

    Today I installed the printer on a Vista Ultimate 64 bit system (SW version is 100.100.065.000), after using it for more than 2 years on a Windows 7 computer. The printer is using the network driver.

    Printer: HP OfficeJet J6413 (EMEA region)

    Firstly, installation went smoothly, but it seems as if all components have been installed on the 3rd attempt (remove + restart + install).

    When you scan a PDF document using the HP Solution Center, the following error message is displayed (after that saying is not more pages, so a record sequence begins).

    Title: Error!

    Message:

    "

    An expected internal error occurred. Click OK to close the program, and then try the following:

    -Restart the program.

    -Restart the PC and then try again.

    -Reinstall the software photos & images and try again.

    8, [(6, 16,-2147221488)]

    "

    (Numbers below also appear in the dialog box).

    Not to mention that each of the above has worked and keeps the suggted error to appear, even during the scanning of the printer directly (scan to...).

    I'd appreciate your help with this.

    It has not happened before on Windows 7.

    Thank you

    Moti.

  • Why can't scan to PDF with acrobat reader dc

    I've recently updated to Adobe Reader and can no longer scan documents to pdf format. I can scan tif or jpeg not a pdf file.  I heard that I have to buy something from Adobe that will allow this function. Is this true?

    REader NEVER did this. But maybe your scanner came with scan-to-PDF software.

  • Not easier to scan to PDF with the drive?

    I already have a bunch of PDF files, I created just documents on this computer - remained down on the scanner and easily saved in PDF format.  Now I don't seem to be able to do and get directed to go online to BUY something to do.  I change an Epson on a Canon Pixma MG2220 printer.  Not sure if this could be the problem or creating a PDF with Adobe is now pay-to-play only?  This laptop has Windows 7.

    No version of Reader, past or present, could create PDFs (leave a scanner or other). If you have had this ability while not using Reader (possibly Acrobat, or some third party applications). Reader can only view PDF files and run some very basic editing features.

  • LaserJet professional M1217 nf: cannot scan over network with a printer laserjet 1217 on a Mac

    Hello

    My set up:

    Mac with Yosemite

    LaserJet M1217 more wireless

    Description of the problem:

    I can't scan. Preview, the control panel or image capture, I get the same error saying "cannot open a session.

    I have installed and reinstalled the drivers/printer about 100 times.

    I tried to add the printer/scanner like airprint, or with the name of the printer as a proposed post.

    Just what causes the same error.

    I have the 2.0 version of the driver installed right now. Tried with 1.7, same result.

    I can print without problem since my Mac and my iPad.

    Tried it with an ethernet cable and have the same problem in case someone ask.

    I looked all over google and doesn't seem like someone else has the same problem? Many people have problems printing over wireless, but it's ok for me. Is the scan, I can't go to work.

    Pages of HP does not offer any other driver which has of the Yosemite. HP offers no additional program for Mac and scan.

    Don't know what else to try.

    Little help? Anyone?

    Thanks Geminy02,

    Unfortunately, your suggestions did not help, and I have a few comments about them.
    First of all, your suggestion about the router was the problem is quite impossible, as you will need to check if the ports are open only in the case we're talking about two different network segments. If you have your printer and your computer in the same segment you will have problems of ports.
    Second: if I would have chosen IP protocol to add my printer, I wouldn't take the option scan, as you said, which means I could not done any tests that I mentioned in my original post, and I would never have had to the point of getting the error message.
    Thirdly: the drivers that you MENTION for download are exactly the same as you get with yosemite, so, this could help to reinstall the driver, it's kind of a long shot (and yes I tried).

    In fact, I managed to solve my problem by doing a factory reset of the printer, any sign of a printer in my computer, cleaning and reinstall the printer using the airprint driver suggested by yosemite where to find my bounjur printer.

    I tried ro think what could be the reason, or to see all what I had changed, and the only thing I've seen different in the configuration before and after he started to work was the name of the printer. When it did not work my printer was called simply "printer", when he was working he was the full name that comes by default. It would be very strange, that this is the reason, but I just mention it here just in case someone read. I believe that the factory reset was the difficulty, not the configuration itself.

    Just for the other readers, I can confirm that this unit can print and scan over my wiresless and cable network on yosemite, with the help of preview, capture image or scan property in the control panel. It took me several hours to make it work, but it does, and my best friend was all the time the printers web page, where you can change the configuration of the printer.

  • ScanJet 4890 cannot scan to PDF (windows vista)

    Recently, I replaced a 6 years Dell Latitude 810 runnung XP pro with a Dell E6520 running Windows 7 64-bit. I installed my Scanjet 4890 using the Windows Vista software and driver (using the compatibility check). I can scan documents to a printer, .jpg, .tif and .gif, but I can't scan to Adobe Acrobat (not an option, I can select). On the 810, I could sweep Acrobat. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you.

    I hacked my way to a solution:

    1. place the document in scanjet, connect to the computer, turn on scanjet;

    2 launch the scanjet analysis, NO Office, with (document) at the far left button on the top of the cover of scanjet;

    3. answer questions on the "Scan button scan" window that pops up just:

    -Click on the option button "Document" and one of the 3 color choices;

    -in "Scan to:" dropdown list, choose 'Save to file';

    -in "file type:" drop-down list, choose one of the options PDF.

    -other options can be selected as required;

    4. click on the button "Scan" (lower left corner of the window);

    5 answer questions on the window "Scan to file Save Options button Scan" which has just popped up.

    6. click 'OK' (at the bottom of the window);

    7 analysis program will launch; Navigate as always;

    8. when all documents have been scanned, will find your document in the selected directory 5, above.

    I hope this helps!
