I called again on 6 February and was told my problem was always open and they were trying to reproduce the problem (it appears on the net without a patch work). It is now February 10, and I hope the good people of HP to recall with a solution soon. You try to run a small business with no printer is not ideal.

I go to the windows printer properties and set them in landscape mode.  There are two places to change, a Preferences tab and a default Advanced tab and I did both. When I print from Notepad they always print portrait. In Notepad, I can make them print landscape, but I have to change it every time. So, I want the default to be the landscape.   -The client has just had new printer Lexmark Pro 915 installed.  Can correctly print a test page for the properties of the printer.
  -Cannot print from Excel.  It is said that no printer is found.
