Cannot start my Satellite A110-275

Hello

I had one laptop Satellite A110-275. After the first days, when I bought someone spilled a glass of water. I send the laptop on a center here in Canada they have change the motherboard. Laptop worked for several months and a few weeks ago are starting to make me a problem such as:
I start it and everything seems ok all lights are blue lit, I hear when the beginning of the video card fan and nothing appears on the screen.

In the past after a few opening and closing laptop computer started but now its saying DEAD leds.
Could be the processor or even once the motherboard? I already changed the 2 GB memory and nothing.
Could someone help me with some ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Processor A110 - 275 Intel Core Duo T2400 satellite clocked at 1.83 GHz 2 GB of 533 MHz DDR2
Thank you

Hello Marina

Please don't get me wrong, but I don't think there is that you can only do about it.
Of course, there is a serious hardware problem, probably with the motherboard. I don't know which component is troublemaker, but if your computer laptop doesn't react at all, it can be electronic power supply.

It may be the CPU. It may be the motherboard, but you must understand that it is not possible to provide an accurate diagnosis on this path. What you need is a professional help. Laptop must be controlled by diagnostic tools and it can be done in only authorized service. Contact them and explain the situation.

  • Satellite A110-275 restarts after a stop on the current

    Hello

After installing xp sp3 if I stop my laptop while on external power, it seems to stop and power off of the fine - then 5 seconds later, it restarts?

If I turn off the external power (or pull the power cable on) if the machine is running on its battery - then stop - everything works fine. I have checked the event logs and see no error which would cause a reboot on shutdown. I disabled the reboot on system error switch and I turned off the wake of the bios on the options.

I also looked in Device Manager and off anything that could wake the machine after his stop (only found the modem). I am at a loss - I don't see why external power would cause the works to restart but battery very well. Finally its possible this safe mode can also not working after installed sp3.

If anyone has any ideas - I'd appreciate really them. It looks like there may be a newer bios available (I'm on V1.2) but I've seen a few posts cautioned against an updated bios windows at level - once again any info - very very welcome.

Have you noticed this problem before installing SP3?

Its strange noises that this occurs only when the laptop is connected to the power adapter

I searched in the forum for similar issues and in many cases enabled Wake up on LAN would cause a reboot.
I know, you have this disabled in BIOS, but you should also check the LAN card properties in Device Manager.
You will find an Advanced tab can disable this option too!

Satellite A110-275 belongs to the series of PSAB0E.
There is a new BIOS for PSAB0E series.

BIOS v2.0 is OS independent. Means that he s created for Win XP and other OS.
V5.40 BIOS is only for Vista OS.

If you are using Win XP, then you should take the independent BIOS of the OS!

  • Cannot start the satellite M35X

    Hi all.

    Cannot start my Satellite.
When I push the power button, it turns on, the blue led is ok but the HDD led blinks 1 or 2 times or it happened when it is not clear at all and put the laptop off, but the power button remains lit.

However, from time to time, it starts up, shuts down load the XP but after 1 minute.

I have reinstaled recently the WinXP, and I did a bios update. Before that, the laptop didn't have this behavior, however, the XP raported me that the hard drive is faulty.
I figured it is something related to the HARD drive.
    What should I do?

How can I be sure that the HARD disk is wrong?

    Hi mate,

If your HARD drive has bad sectors, you must exchange it ;)

For example before doing this, you can check for bad sectors using specific diagnostic tools HDD as Drive Fitness Test:
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
Here, you can download an image file to create a boot disk. Then boot from it and to start the test, it is quite easy! ;)

If your HARD drive is faulty, this tool should recognize this.

  • Satellite A110-275: can I use FAT32 instead of NTFS with recovery CD?

    Satellite A110-275
Can I use the file system fat32 instead of ntfs disk recovery system.

    Hello

Well, on the Toshiba Recovery CD you will find only the ghosts.
This ghost files contains image with all the files and data from HARD drive.
I guess that the image was made on NTFS.

I think it s not able to change the file system on the HARD disk without formatting or losing data on this HARD drive.
If you want to change the FAT32 file system, you must format the HDD to FAT32.

But I put t know why you want to do. It makes no sense to me.
In my opinion, the NTFS system is more powerful than FAT32

  • Satellite A110-275: more a low-memory graphics card after BIOS 1.30 update

    Hello

graphics card intel gma 945 up to 128 MB.

Recently, I updated the bios of 1.20 to 1.30 and after reboot, I lost 64 megabytes of 'graphics card capabilities.
After bios update, my computer is much lower. Why? How can one get 128 MB of memory on my intel gma 945?

also s it is possible to manually change a file and configure gma 945 capacities up to 256 MB? I have a lot of ram and I could use it for games, now I can use only 8 to 64 MB.

    Hello Pit

I posted my opinion that I don't think there could be a problem in your second topic.
As far as I know the laptop came with graphics card Intel shared memory. 8-128 MB of memory could be chosen.

To my knowledge the Intel driver graphics card automatically controls the value of memory sheared. If need more than MB of graphics card memory so it will be assigned automatically.

PS: In my opinion it is not possible to select 256 MB because the hardware does not support.

    Hello

Are you sure it's a Satellite Pro A110-275 and not Satellite A110-275?
    I found only a Satellite A110-275!

In addition the tapes you want to turn into a digital format?
    VHS or audio only?

As far as I know this device supports only a tv out port. In this case, you are only able to send a signal to TV but do not receive all the signals.
In my opinion you will need a 3rd party card PCMICA or any device which is capable of receiving video or audio signals (to jack)

  • On the problem of the Satellite A110-275 card reader

    Hey

Ive had a bit of trouble with my card on my A110-275 reader. Whenever I put an SD card, the light flashes to say he recognizes her, but no matter what I can't seem to load.

I know that's not the card because my father has a similar laptop and I have no problem whatsoever with his.

I was wondering if it could be the drivers? Anyone got any info on the place where to download?

    [Thanks:]

    Hello

Satellite A110 is old enough laptop model. Since when did you notice this problem with an SD card? Have you tested with different SD cards (different capacities)?

This way nothing happens when you press the button walk / stop? Can you enter the BIOS settings or see Toshiba welcome screen?

I can't start my satellite 4060 XCDT from sleep, from his sleep, I have to reboot for it to restart, sometimes, he'll leave the day before, but mostly he used, I tried updating the BIOS, nothing works!

    Hello
often there is a problem with installed programs that Don t 'like' Mode standby or Hibernate.

This could be for example downloadable, firewalls, Systemchecking programs.

What additional hardware. Do you have the connected equipment that Don t supports sleep mode, such as PCMCIA cards for example?

  • Cannot start up satellite M40 136

    Hello

I have a Satellite M40 136 2.5 years old. I used it yesterday and then closed the lid then it shut down as usual. About half an hour later, I realized that I had to check a file so I opened the lid and normally he would back automatically, but it didn't. I pressed the button, which is surrounded by an LED, I think than orange means it's pending otherwise it is blue.

When I pressed on it, he showed the light orange for about 2 seconds and then nothing for 5 seconds and then blue for 5 seconds. For these last 5 seconds the machine looks like it, he's trying to start, but then it off immediately. I tried and tried again, but it does the same thing. I tried to use the power cable. I managed to put the recovery DVDs during the 5 seconds, the blue light is on and I press the 'C' button, but it does not work.

Does anyone have an idea on what I can do to get the machine to boot?

    Nicky

Plug the laptop! Remove the battery and the AC adapter.
Then wait about 30 min, then insert the battery and connect the AC to the laptop.
    Check if the mobile feed.

If this isn't the case,-> contact ASP (certified partner) in your country, because the strange behavior of cell phone looks like a serious problem that cannot be solved by a common user!

  • Cannot start the Satellite Pro A120SE-180

    Support the necessary computer startup.

I have a Satellite Pro A120SE-180. I took out the RAM to check how much I had. Then, I opened the battery compartment without thinking about the consequences. Now I get just a power indicator and that it will not start at all.

I can't open the disk drive or get any life out of it. I was running an upgrade of Vista, which was available as a cheap option when I bought with Windows XP.

    Hi Rob,

What might have happened, is that the operating system and a hard drive can have erased himself when the RAM and battery have been removed at the same time!

The only way to fix and doing things is again to send it to a Toshiba service center and get them to look! Also, do not upgrade to Vista - I'm using XP and it seems to do the job the way it was supposed to! I intend to switch to another Satellite Pro, an A300 running Vista, but I will look for someone who can replace XP on it!

  • Cannot start by Satellite A10-S703 from sleep mode

My boss gave me a Satellite A10-S703 running windows XP. I was tooling autour, when suddenly the computer is in sleep mode (LED flashes orange). I tried pressing the power button, but nothing happens. What should I do? I am seriously at the end of the roll and will be in hot water if I can't get the thing started. Help, please.

    Hello

It of very strange that the laptop switches mode standby during the work on this.
Anyway, you can try this way:
Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery from the laptop and wait several times. It's not easy to tell how long to wait but wait 10-15 minutes

Replace the battery in the notebook, and then connect the power adapter. Try turning on the laptop computer.

To my knowledge, this is a common procedure if such question comes on the laptop.

  • Cannot start by Satellite L850 - no boot device - please reboot

    Hi, can you help me?

I have a toshiba Satellite, win 8, and when I try to start it it shows the message 'check' media (fail) and then shows "no boot device - please restart."

How can I solve this problem?

Unfortunately for these questions there is not some sort of magic bullet. Start your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu. If it works check if there is the option to enter setup. Choose this move down arrow and press ENTER.

If it works, you will see the BIOS settings. On the first page (HAND), check if the HARD drive is listed and recognized correctly.
In any case, use F9 and BIOS to the default settings. After doing this use F10 to save and exit.
Check again please. If the same thing happen over and over again I fear you have professional m need help with this.
