Cannot start Recovery on my Satellite A200-1N5

I need help please

I can't do the recovery of my Satellite A200-1N5.
When the recovery DVDs starts is a message says that windows couldn't start .a recent hardware or software change might be the cause (and then I followed the instructions but no change coming)

Best regards

Thank you.

Hello

In my opinion recovery didn't start at all. Please, start your laptop and press the F12 key. Keep it down for a few seconds and the start menu appears. Choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.

If all goes well you'll hear running the CD/DVD drive and the activity on the screen.

  • Cannot start the installation of recovery on my Satellite A200 - 28 p

I'm trying to restore my PC laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 - 28 p (Windows Vista Home Edition) by using the recovery disk of the product supplied with the laptop, no matter what I try to do, I can not run, the only thing that it will allow me to do is to restore the laptop to an earlier date. I have full admin rights on the laptop, there is no virus or other malware on it, all this seems to have happened because he updated with windows vista, about two days ago have uninstalled the updates, but that has no effect.

I can't find anywhere on the laptop recovery console, but I know it was there before. I tried a lot of solutions available on the web, but none of them work. I used the recovery disc about 2 1/2 years when the laptop crashed and it worked fine then.

    Any help apprecited

I don't remember how it was with A200.
You only have a recovery DVD or you could also launch the installation of recovery of HARD drive using F8 at startup (advanced startup options > fix my computer)?

In any case, the description of your problem confuses me.
If you are using the recovery as boot drive DVD there is no console repair or some options.
Installation of recovery on startup, you can only see menu where you have to click on next.

  • How to install the recovery image on Satellite A200?

Hi all, I would like to do a restore to factory for my Satellite A200
I checked their hard drive and confirmed that the recovery partition is still there

When I want 0 and turn on the laptop, rather than the beep and the warning screen, need me only to windows Boot Manager page
So I pressed F8 and choose repair computer, I read that I can also start the recovery process by choosing toshiba Recovery Wizard
But when I press the Recovery Wizard, the cdrom eject and tells me to put in the recovery CD (which I did not)

What bothers me is I checked the recovery partition is there but I can't find a way to start the process
Someone knows the solution? Or there is another button to press when you start the machine?

    Thank you very much!

In your case the drive HARD recovery isn't possible
So in this case only the Toshiba recovery disc can bring notebook to factory condition.

You have not created the recovery disc in the past well. Given that the recovery partitions seems to be available on the HARD disk, you can try this workaround

    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm

It should be possible to create a USB flash memory key or a disc using image files which are available on the bootable recovery partition.

In the worst case if this procedure is not possible, you need to install the clean Microsoft Windows operating system. Essential drivers may be downloaded from the driver page.

  • Recovery of the Satellite A200-TH1

Because I met a frequent problem with my Satellite A200-TH1 of starting recently, I was told to use the disks of recovery by the seller. When I use it, after the two initial instructions (F12 / enter setup /F9), nothing happened. I chose the CD drive, and then press F9.

Can someone help me to complete the process to get my computer recovered fully?

    Hello

Your computer is trying to boot from CD or what exactly is going on?

Have you tested different bootable disk to check if the recovery disk works properly? You can use a Microsoft Windows disk to test it. If this disc works, your recovery disc is scratched/damaged, otherwise, it might be a problem with your CD/DVD drive.

  • Questions about the discs of recovery and partitioning Satellite A200-QH0

I bought a model of Satellite A200-QH0 in Australia and due to the lack of forums in our country, I would like to ask a few questions here if that's ok.

The book contains 3 partitions - partition "EISA Configuration" of 1.6 GB, the great partition of the BONE and the recovery partition. So I did the recovery DVD? s using the Recovery Disc Creator tool, as we are not provided with a real disk. But I would like to know what will make these records? My questions:

    1. they really will return that disc hard back to the _exactly_ how he was including the partition layout and software pre-installed?
2 will be the recovery DVD works even if the disk has been repartioned? I would like to divide the system partition to give space for the files of data etc. But this extra partition will stop the recovery procedure works correctly?

Please understand that I'm not interested in reformatting the entire disk. I want to just split the partition from the OS. But in case I need to replace the disk in the future or something, I would like to know how to close to 'original', these disks will make me, no matter what I do on the disc?

    Thank you
    Dave

    Hello

I m not 100% sure how recovery works on the Australian laptops computers Toshiba, but I presume that the restore CD contains the image of Toshiba with the operating system Windows, drivers, tools and utilities.
I think that if you want to use the recovery CD then the whole HARD drive will be formatted and all partitions will be erased.

I think that the recovery partition is not created using the recovery CD because the CD of restoration has already been created for the recovery partition is no longer necessary

  • How to install the recovery on the Satellite A200-1VO image?

    Hello

I Satellite A200-1VO and want to give it its out of the box state, but it seems to have misplaced the recovery disk if it had one.

Anone know how it reboot without it, or do I need?

If you n t have original recovery disk, you can install the OS by using the original installation disc for Microsoft. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download from the Toshiba download page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Problem is that, with the original recovery image you n t need valid product key and pre-installed OS will activate automatically. If you use the Microsoft disk you need activation key.

  • Cannot find drivers for my Satellite A200-1JD

I bought this laptop about 3-4 months ago... I can't find support and drivers anywhere on this site. As it has never been done, searched with google too, but still nothing about it...

    Model name: Toshiba Satellite A200-1JD
    Model number: PSAE3E - 025017G 3

It comes preinstalled with MS Vista Home Premium but it works so slow because there only 2x512MB of ram...

1 single DVD with laptop and it is * product recovery disc *... no drivers came, nothing else...

I need drivers for Windows XP or at least the specification complete components of the laptop so I can find the drivers on my own...

Sorry Milan but it is really not understandable to me.

Go to the Toshiba download page and choose:

    -Product type laptop computer
    -Satellite family
-Series of products Satellite a series
    -Model Satellite A200 (PSAE3)
-Only model in short no PSAE3
    -Windows XP operating system
    - And click search.

Are there drivers Windows XP Home edition?

  • Cannot find the partition recovery on the Satellite A200-1BP

    Hello

First of all, I have a Vista Home Premium 1BP A200 and I lost the product recovery disc and I want to create one with "Recdisc.exe" product of Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator or Vista.

They both failed because I didn't get a message "No disk HARD recovery Area!", then I looked in the "Disk management" section and could not find any partition without a name.

There were two primary Partition which were 1.46 GB 'in good condition (EISA Configuration)"and my Vista (c).
So, what should I do? Can I create a recovery partition?
Or can I set the Recovery Disc Creator? (v. 5.0.0.5)

PS: I got my computer several times with my CD, which probably used my recovery partition.
Seriously, I'm out of ideas and I don't want to lose 50 dollars just to get another copy of disc PR.

PS2: I used press '0' and 'F8' thing too, they no longer work.
Is there a way I can restore without any disk?

It seems that the recovery of HARD drive partition is missing
The first 1.46 GB partition is automatically created by Vista and the C partition is the system partition, the partition of HARD drive recovery doesn't seem to be available

    > PS: I got my computer several times with my CD, which probably used my recovery partition.
Retrieve you the Vista using the recovery disc or what drive did you use?

If you have installed the system using Microsoft Vista disk then, it was a big mistake because it deleted the partition of HARD drive

    > Is there a way I can restore without any disk?
Either you use a Vista MS disk and missing drivers, which you can download from the Toshiba page or you order the Toshiba Recovery disk don't see another solution

  • Cannot install recovery image on Satellite C660

    Hello
I tried to restore a Satellite C660 factory settings because it be extremely slow to start.

Using the original Toshiba recovery disks the process gets to half way through and then gives the following messages...

    Error restoring image
    The device is not ready

ERROR: ImageX could not be Win7 V:\HDDRecovery\SWImg\15489XSP.swm Index 2 HARD C: drive!

    If someone can advise?
    Thank you

Unfortunately there is no workaround to force the recovery image installation runs correctly.
All you can do right now is to set the BIOS to default settings and use the drive recovery again.
Make sure that the disc is clean.

Do you use the recovery disc for the first time?

  • Recovery with my Satellite A200 problem

I'm trying to use the recovery CD provided with my laptop which is Toshiba Satellite but when I insert the recovery CD and reboot the PC I enter recovery mode but it always freezes at the first page, one that looks like the MS-DOS screen where I m getting a message that says: (place the support in drive E :)
The cursor moves all the time, as if the PC is the location of the requested file but he never do anything else for hours and hours.

Please help since I ve used before recovery CD and it worked very well.

You can start any other bootable CD?
Can you please test it with Microsoft CD or Linux installations?

Please do not forget optical disc drive can read bootable media. Let's this as the first step to test the functionality of optical disc drive.

  • Cannot install recovery image on satellite Pro P300-1EX

    Hello.

I have never had many problems with a single laptop in my lifetime of work. I'm almost ready to throw this thing out the window. I have a satellite pro p300-1EX.

I wanted to do an install new os just to make things a bit faster for the customer, it was 8 hours ago.

First, I installed a Home Windows OEM pre 32B version. Then I saw that the CD would not work.

So, Okay - I'll bring back factory default:

    (1) there is no link repair starting and pressing F8
    (2) there is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
    (3) there is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
    (4) I try to download recovery disk creator bloody software and get this - it does not work. It creates a shortcut to a file that's not here yet. TRDCLcher.exe, can you, im speechless.

So now, I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me? I don't think so.

So, what can I please? It was a horrible experience. Nothing works. The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it. Instealing the OEM deleted all tools by default, but I can't NOT THE DOWNLOAD.

    Please, please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Maybe it sounds stupid now, but this is simply.

Here's my explanation of how it works:
Almost 4 or 5 years Toshiba offers laptops without recovery DVD but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. As much I know about former Satellite/Satellite Pro P300 recovery image was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder named HDDRecvery. This model laptop was shipped with Windows Vista.

As you know original recovery image can be installed n in two ways:
-You can use the recovery HARD drive installation method - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
-You can use the created recovery DVD disk

HARD drive recovery facility can be made if the laptop has only factory settings. In this case in advanced startup options (F8), you will have the option to fix my computer. If the notebk has been installed with the version of the OS or any other operating system of this option won't be available more. Because of this Toshiba has preinstalled reminder with the message for owners of laptops create recovery DVDs.

    Your questions:
    > There is no link repair starting and pressing F8
If this laptop doesn t have to factory settings it will not appear in the advanced startup options
    > There is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
If you have European book this model with zero will not work. It only works with the United States and Austraian mobile.
    > There is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
I put t understand it. What happens when you start with the OEM version?
    > I am trying to download bloody recovery disc creator software
If you have the European model of laptop, it can not be downloaded. This piece of software is included in the recovery image only.

    > So now I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me
I understand, but at least with the original recovery DVD you can install OS and all necessary things in an hour only.
    > The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it.
Yes. Without factory settings you will not have access to these data.

    Follow these steps:
-start your laptop and press F2 to enter the BIOS settings
-set the BIOS to default settings and reboot the laptop
-When the laptop reboots press F12 to get into the boot meny
-When the boot menu appears on the screen put the original DVD of recovery in ODD
-Choose the CD/DVD drive on the list and press ENTER
This will force it's STRANGE to be the first boot device and you should see process on the loading screen. Click next or OK nothing change and wait for the recovery procedure starts.

Please try it and let me know exactly what is happening.

  • Cannot start Windows installation on Satellite S50-A-10R

I just bought a Satellite S50-A-10R and I try to install Windows on it... This is not my first time done it but know I think that I put a block... I start the laptop, open the DVD-rom, put in the DVD with windows and try to restart the laptop.

When I press the power button / nothing happens. I have to unplug it to make it stop.
When I power on the laptop again, I still don't receive any message / is not Windows install and it doesn t close again by pressing the power button...
If anyone has any ideas please tell me...

I put it to start first of all of the weird
I used a windows 7 and a DVD of widows 8.1 but nothing

I agree, the laptop s BIOS UEFI capable and generally UEFI is activated, which means that only taking support UEFI (Win 8 or 8.1 Win) can be installed.

In case you want to install other systems, you must pass the to the CSM UEFI boot mode.
Secure boot should also be disabled.
