    Hi Praveen,

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will certainly help the question of fixing.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. you are trying to install Windows 7 Starter on another partition?

    2. which type of installation you are trying to run?

If you try to install Windows 7 Starter on the same drive where Windows 7 Ultimate is installed, then you must perform a clean installation.

Follow the link for the reference below:

Installation and reinstallation of Windows 7:

  • Code error 0x7E - the file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is damaged. Setup cannot continue. Windows 7 Upgrade installation problem

I tried to install Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade, 32-bit version. My current system is an Intel iMac (later), with Windows XP - SP3 loaded as a virtual machine with Parallels Desktop 4.0 build 3848 (according to their website, it is supposed to support Windows 7).

I allocated enough space RAM and HARD drive of the virtual machine to run Windows 7. No matter what I do, when I try to run setup.exe, I get the error message: "the file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0x7E].

The file 'autorun.dll' is present on the disk.

I saw on the internet that other people have also had this problem, with or without Parallels Desktop, and get a replacement DVD of Windows 7 program made no difference to them. Nor is it an available answer, I've seen.

My Windows 7 disc is new, so I was hoping that Microsoft could solve the problem for me?

    Thank you.

OK, so, this response is a little late to come, but if you never solved...

I just encountered the same problem - editing similar (Mac, Parallels 5 in my case, the SP3 of XP, MS Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade) - you must make sure that the DVDROM drive hardware is mapped to "D:" on your XP installation. Thus on the Parallels Desktop menu go to devices, CD/DVD1 and make sure that all your actual DVD player is called is selected (should be the vertical entry in the menu) - not true CD/DVD. The reader should then start and auto run.

The only other thing I can suggest is to back up and then delete the following registry keys:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail

I start with the first and then see if it works.  If this isn't the case, then delete them both.

I created a Google Group, invited members, received their responses and published the list of members.  When I tried to send an e-mail to the group, I got a message that msoe.dll could not be initialized.  How to solve this?

Sorry, but the info was so 'goop gobbly' for me.  Y at - it somewhere that I can download the msoe.dll?

While you might be able to, two points...

    (1) not a safe idea.  Microsoft does not offer it more (they do not support OE6) and nowhere else - you take your chances.

    (2) most important - the file is not likely your problem.  Something else is probably causing this message.

You may need to remove (I suggest renaming it to RECORDS. OLD personally) RECORDS. DBX file.  If Folders.dbx is damaged, OE often stops displaying the files to the existing *.dbx files, and sometimes OE will simply refuse to start. Also a bloated Folders.dbx can OE run very slowly. These two problems can be repaired by closing OE and deleting Folders.dbx. Understand although you will lose the mail directory structure, all the discussion lists and all synchronization options and this message rules will probably have to be edited

There is another option where you could not lose the folder structure (will not be rebuilt) because you are going to import it from a BACKUP of everything what you do by renaming the whole store folder before you rebuild everything in OE - but I thought it would be more simple.

This is usually because of folders.dbx be corrupted and you should remove it.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#7

In addition, it is the right time to save your messages, given that corruption.

  • OCMSN.dll could not be loaded

I use windows XP.  After installing Firefox browser IE stopped working. Uninstalled IE such as advised by ISP Tech I tried to download and install IE several times again with no luck.  Another tech said to go to the control panel and Windows components and check Add IE.  Components Windows gives me the message-Setup library OSMSN.dll could not be loaded, or function entry Oc is not found. Contact your system administrator.  The specific error code is Ox7e.  Also anything to be opened in a Micro Word and Power Point reader does not open, told to go to the control panel and select where to open.

Is there a fix for this if I can use new IE?

    Thank you

    Thelma Hawk

I don't know what are all your other computer problems, but if you mean that you see a message like this:

    The Windows XP Setup program
Setup library Ocmsn.dll could not be loaded, or function OcEntry could not be found.
Contact your system administrator.  The specific error code is 0x7e.

    Clicking OK gets:

    The Windows XP Setup program
The application could not be initialized.

I would say that Microsoft committed Support Engineer 'expert' is just send you in addition to their hunting wild goose.

First of all, the file is not in the c:\windows\system32 folder.
Second of all, the file is not a registrable DLL.

I would just replace the file (that's why I know what looks like the error message), but maybe we'll learn something from these 'experts' then maybe you'll have some better luck with those of other ideas.

  • mscoreei.dll could not be loaded

When I try to launch the app HPadvisor.exe on my HP Vista sp2 m9517c, I get the following error message:

    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.net\Framework64\v4.0.30319\mscoreei.dll could not be loaded.

I did a repair reinstall .netv4 (64-bit) from the MS. website I received a message that says that it was installed correctly.

Then, I rebooted my machine. However, I still get the same error message when I try to run HPadvisor.exe.

Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you

As hpadvisor.exe is a security monitor of Hewlett-Packard belonging to HP Total Care Advisor, I would check with HP to see if this is a known issue.

They would be able to help you with troubleshooting on this issue.
