Cannot synchronize Firefox, nor its extension

I met two problems that seem to be connected. My Firefox Sync is unable to synchronize the passwords and extensions on my two computers (Bookmark Sync works). At the same time, I can't get my Zotero extension to synchronize data between computers.

I suspect that these issues are interconnected. I use Win 8.1 standard settings, Avast antivirus, new version of Firefox.

Could someone help please?

It was caused by some corrupt files. Solutions: I reset Firefox to the factory settings.

    Try the Firefox Safe Mode to see how it works there. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  • Cannot reset Firefox.

    When I start Firefox, it happens with Yahoo, NOT with the default Firefox. If I try to reset Firefox, I get the response "well, it's embarrassing" and cannot reset. I went to the deleted control panel Firefox and downloaded and re-installed FIrefox from the site of the Mozilla Foundation, and the problem still persists. I can't get rid of Yahoo.

    As a side note, Chrome works OK. When I start Chrome, I automatically open four tabs. From time to time, opens Chrome a fourth tab... and it's Yahoo. I can go into the settings and delete the fourth tab and everything is OK for a while, but eventually the fifth tab opens again, and I again to remove. Don't know if these are related issues, but I don't believe in coincidence.

    I use WebRoot security and have scanned my PC and deleted all the threats. As WebRoot is, my PC is clean.

    Try to remove the extension DataMngr (Datamngr.dll)

    Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

To make matters worse I don't see the menu on the top tool bar items, I was so used to using, such as file, editing, display, etc.. I very often used the display menu to zoom on texts that are too small for me to read. Now I can not do. I tried to drag icons in the menu on the upper right of the page on the top tool bar above the address bar, but it is not the same thing as what I used to use before, and there is no File, Edit, View, tools in the menu icons. So now I see my g-mail Inbox in tiny little characters. I tried to use the Magnifier suggested in the troubleshooting of support page, but it's too heavy so I gave up.

    If the zoom is your problem so just try to use the keyboard.
    Hold down the control (Ctrl) key + "+" to zoom in any window.
    Otherwise if the crash occurs suddenly so just try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox with the update. You brought a lot of changes manually, it might create problem. So reinstall once and check whether it is at your service.
