  99jon, I found a different solution which is a variant of what do you recommend. As I bought my standalone just now and there is no easy option to transfer licenses between the accounts, I was able to do this:

  (1) create account for my wife with no permits at all on this subject.

  (2) install LR and when necessary to open a session, choose the account of the wife. The application will say there is no subscription and you want to switch to mode of trial. There is no option to enter the serial number at this stage, to accept the mode of trial.

  (3) close LR and re - open LR.

  (4) now there is an option to 'buy' or something like that. When you choose this option, you can choose to enter the serial number. The serial number should not be on the same account, it is accepted and works very well.
