  I am setting up a new installation of PeopleSoft, based on a copy of the record of my client PS_HOME. I installed before PeopleSoft, but I used the latest versions and started from scratch. Now I use PS HRMS 8.9 and PT 8.48 on a Windows 2003 server. I followed the manual to install 8.48 PT (installation of third party tools, using configuration manager), except for the wizard to install PT, because the files are already there. I changed all config files I had to include suitable locations for PS_HOME, Oracle database drivers, etc.

  Now, I'm trying to use the database Configuration Wizard to automate the creation of the database using Oracle 10.1.0.5.0. After you have selected a non-unicode database, I click Next, select the character set, and then when I click Next again once I get the message "Cannot find the dbcodes file."

  I checked in the folder PS_HOME/setup and there are two dbcodes files: dbcodes.pt and dbcodes.hc. It is originally a kind of confusion, or the wizard missing the dbcodes file somewhere else? Or maybe that's another question altogether, I'm not sure.

  ptengs. DB is used to create a single database of PeopleTools, you try to create a database of HCM. This file will not be used when creating your database.

  If you want to create your copy of HCM all files from 'PS_APP_HOME' to PS_HOME database and start Data Mover with option to create database.

  Should do the trick.

• JDev 11.1.2.4.0 cannot open the flow of unlimited tasks

  I just created a new application for merger. When I click on the task unlimited flow adfc - config.xml I get a dialog box for error that an unexpected serious error occurred in JDeveloper.

  It seems that same question in this discussion https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2565042?start=0 & tstart = 0 except that I use not a mobile extension. I can't downgrade JDev JDK 1.6. I use 1.7.0_25. No work around?

  As you found there some problems with jdev run on jdk 1.7. It should be no problem if the wls is running on 1.7

• Cannot access the value of parameter task flow when type java.lang.string

  Hi all

  I use Jdev 11.1.1.6.0 version.

  Here's the scenario. I enclose the workspace.

  A taskflow (testScope1TF) simply have 2 obligatory parameters corresponding type is String and ArrayList.

  This stubborn taskflow placed as a region in a pop up (p1) in a fragment (testScope2Fragment.jsff).

  Have a command to link to testScope2Fragment.jsff and from there, I'll put the value of the parameter.

  Pop until I can access the value of the ArrayList, but for string, it is show null. However all these setting set the same bean. What is the reason for the string parameter showing null?

  Can anyone help to understand this strange behavior.

  I took as look at your code. The problem is that you use a popup in the region and regions have a bit different (refer to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/67-queryform-in-popup-253861.pdf) in the regions. Must be addressed the refreshment of the ifNeeded region to make your sample (see image below):

• How to set up wizard DAQ or DAQmx tasks using an external text such as a CSV file?

  I work in an environment were we have a lot of users VI. I develop the VI and technical personnel using the GUI (cover Page) to collect the data. In order to control the input parameters used on multiple hardware platforms, I'd like to develop a generic VI which will import or read a text file I created, and configures the DAQmx tasks to perform data acquisition. In fact, I have the generic VI full and need to understand how to make configurations DAQmx more transparent for the end user as long as the end user has the text file to import. For example, to generate the wizard DAQ DAQmx tasks based on information from text file?

  I don't have time to do more than just a small example. The VI below contains a table with table fixed index functions. This would have changed to get automatically the correct rows and columns, but I hope that you have an idea. I does not have any code to define the type of temperature measurement or to set the correct configuration of Terminal. All of this plus all other possible options will be treated similarly to the definition of the type of channel and min/max which is located in the example.

• How to synchronize or trigger OR-DAQmx devices in LabView

  I'm using LabView 2009 with a cDAQ-9174 chassis which includes an NI 9263 analog peripheral and an NI 9222 analog input device. I learned in the examples that I can synchronize the devices at the same sample rate. But I'm looking to sync devices such as the exact moment where I start to acquire input channel 9222, the 9263 begins to generate output. Secondly, I am interested to know when to use just this material, is it a way to very precisely to trigger a device turned off each other with a certain delay. So in summary I am interested in two behaviors:

  (1) to synchronize an output channel 9263 to an input channel 9222, such as the beginning of a measure of analog input 9222 triggers a 9263 analog waveform output. and,

  (2) have the analog output of the 9263 beginning for example EXACTLY 100 samples (provided that the sampling rates are synchronized) after that the 9222 starts to collect data. In other words, a trigger delay.

  I guess that preference for it in hardware such as no software delays occur. Is this possible using these devices? Or do I need an external synchronization mechanism?

  Shipping example LabVIEW 2010\examples\DAQmx\Synchronization\Multi-Function.llb\Multi-Function-Synch I - AO.vi is probably a good starting point for 1). (Possible problem: If you use several engines timing to HAVE at the same time, the hypothesis of this example that the task of the AI "AI/StartTrigger" is not valid.) If this proves to be a problem, you may need to replace the name of Terminal get with device Prefix.vi with the trigger DAQmx > Start.Term property and add a call to the reserve of the task.)

• Task Scheduler ignoring "expires" field of the trigger

  I have set up a task to run a simple command (rundll32.exe with some settings) on Windows 7. The task is triggered by workstation unlock, has an expiration time/date (checked = active) and is enabled.  I set the timeout at 11:25 August 1, 2012, the time current 11:20 1 August 2012 and locked the workstation, then unlocked it. The evnt triggered very well. But when I blocked the workstation after 11:25, it triggered yet, even if the HELP says "expires: this parameter allows to set the date and time of the trigger to expire." When a trigger is expired, it cannot cause the task to run'.

  The task history indicates for each time I've unlocked the workstation: task triggered unlocking > engine message received task to start the task > task started > Action began > created the task process > completed > completed.

  It does not show errors or other messages, and the final message is stamped the same second as the first journal, so it is running and completed in less than a second.  So why is it always triggered when the present time > timeout?

  Any help appreciated, it's weird.

  I have no way of telling if this is relevant to your case, but TechNet explains that, for the parameters of expiration - time is relative the time zone set on the computer that runs the task. Check the universal check box to make the time from universal time coordinated (UTC) instead of the time zone set on the computer that runs the task.  Did you accidentally check universal, perhaps?

  If you plan use JDeveloper with Oracle BPM, you will need to get the JDK 1.6.

  Are you asking how to make JDK once JDeveloper has already been installed?  Instead of find all the configuration files that JDeveloper uses to identify the JDK, it will use, in my opinion, the best, safest and fastest by far is to simply reinstall 11.1.1.7.

  When you reinstall, be

  1. use the JDK that is bundled with JDeveloper (JDK 1.6.0_24) by selecting the 'Complete' installation or
  2. Download and install a 1.6.0_24 + JDK and then reinstall JDeveloper by selecting installation "Custom"->, uncheck the JDK group check box and select the "Browse" button to find and select the JDK 1.6 you have installed

  I have HP Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit. Cannot open .exe files. I get the error message by side configuration is incorrect. In the event log, it says error in manifest or policy file as a component version required by the application in conflict with one another component version already active. The two components are: c: Program Files\Viewer\Microsoft.VC80.CRT.MANIFEST.

  Problems arise when I deleted some files (don't remember which) I am now myself for kicks. Then I completely restored my system with a restore cd, upgrading to vista, downloaded all the updates and everything else works fine only problem is the opening of .exe files. Can someone please help? I'm no computer wiz only right following the indications :)

  Follow these methods and see if the problem still occurs.

  Method 1:

   

  Scan an System File Checker (SFC) on your computer and see if that fixes the problem.

  Method 2:

  Test the issue in a clean boot State.

  Note: follow step 7 to your computer as usual.
