Cannot use AOL Mail using a user account of some on my computer, error: "Cannot send or receive messages for this account AOL."

My father is in the hospital and trying to help my mother to use the computer.

There are 3 email accounts set up - hotmail, yahoo and aol.  AOL is the Internet service provider.

The hotmail and Yahoo are working very well.

In the AOL inbox sent, there is no messages - (note: the messages have been sent and not deleted).

When sending emails to AOL, they will but do not appear in the field sent on their computer.

It works on my computer when I log onto their account I have send a message and you can see the old messages and the ones I sent.

I'm not a fan of the AOL software. Personally I would not use AOL as my Internet service provider. I only had a close encounter with the AOL software in recent years. Finally, the problem has been solved and it was not caused by the AOL software but he could have easily.

AOL has always provided a brand of software developed by others. Thus, they mark Outlook Express and all changed the menus etc then any that have a reasonable understanding of Outlook Express met with unnecessary difficulties trying to solve a problem. It was of course on a Windows XP platform.

    Having two computers laptops, wifi, windows7, and ie8. Your laptop, send and receive. Calendar and contacts works perfectly. Second computer, when you attempt to read emails via messenger or ie8, I get the above message, also calendar is not updated.     If I connect directly to hotmail, bypassing ie8 and Messenger, everything is there, I guess it's a timing issue. Would appreciate any help. (worked fine until about 3 months ago)

    You elected probably still use the protocol HTTPS for Hotmail. If you did, this means that WLMail cannot connect to Hotmail via HTTP using DeltaSync. Go to https://account.live.com/managessl and log in with the account which does not work in WLMail. See the important note, and then select do not automatically use the HTTPS protocol and Save.

My husbands on the same computer email is fine, it can send and receive mail.  On August 7, I was having a problem with my account and was told by a Tech Windows, follow the instructions online and change my password, I did, and everything was working fine until yesterday, when I was no longer able to send or receive mail.  I unplugged the computer and the router from one day to the next, but having this problem today.
