Cannot use option watch on my Satellite Pro P200

Hello

I installed XP SP2 on my P200, but he can't go to sleep mode, it says something about a control of parity RAM or something?
What can be wrong?

Standby under Vista works fine.

* Bad operation of the equipment *.
* Call your provider of equipment for the support
* nmi: parity check / memory parity error *.
* The system stopped *.

Have you updated BIOS version taken WXP supported (5.20)?
You have installed all the drivers for Windows XP Home edition?

When you go to START > Shut down option the Standby button is dimmed?
Explain how you try to use turn on watch and what exactly happens?

    > Can't use the Wi - Fi connection. When you use "Free Config" to find peripheral wireless the popup "this connection is controlled by other software.

You may not use the ConfigFree for configuring Wlan but own Vista configuration options or the WLan configuration tool like Atheros Clint Utility or Intel ProSet utility. It depends on the WLan card which utility can be used.
Card Intel-> Intel ProSet utility; Card Atheros WLan-> Atheros Clint Utility

I guess the message + this connection is controlled by other software + appears because one of the above options controls the WLan.

  • Cannot use the webcam on my Satellite Pro A200

I have the Satellite Pro A200 series.

My warranty (with clips) runs out on August 7. I had probs with my webcam since I bought this laptop two years ago. I keep says it's a matter of 'software' and not covered by the warranty. I did everything what I said to do... reformatted the hard drive three times, etc., etc. In any case... I use only this laptop when I go... I checked the other day and that's the problem, now, I recovered it. It works, I can see on the webcam, but no one can see me.

I get this message that says "turn on camera"... but there is no way to turn it on and just what I do does not work. Is it not now a HARDWARE problem, with a built-in webcam If the camera does not illuminate? So it seems Staples should look like it. I'm back this week for another chance with them.

But does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    Try this

    * Download driver Chicony Webcam drivers from Toshiba Web site section was updated. If you can't find an updated driver, try a new driver of another model of Toshiba.
    * Install the Service Pack 1 of Vista, or Vista Hotfix KB934374: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934374 (KB934374 is included in SP1)
    * Update your e-mail software (MSN/Yahoo Messenger, etc...)
    * If you have another program that can use the webcam (e.g. Skype), make sure that they are completely closed and not, sitting in the system tray.
    * Try to close the bar Assistant camera on the left side of the office.
    * To stop the Camera Assistant software from running at startup, run Regedit and delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "Camera Assistant Software".

If it still does not work, then get an ASP to fix it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello buddy

It is badly located now. Please try to do it once more.
If the same thing happen there is nothing you can do. I'm not an expert for this kind of thing, but I noticed the image recovery recovery DVD will be copied to the HARD second partition disk) first and then the installation of recovery will go from there.

If the adaptation procedure is not done on the recovery of end procedure cannot be started.
Sorry buddy. In my opinion, you can try to contact the nearest authorized maintainer and explain the situation. Take the DVD created as evidence and maybe they will order new media for free.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite Pro P200-HD: how to use it with Win XP

Recently, I received the new Satellite Pro P200 HD of Getech. I asked Getech to change the XP operating system because my University will not support Vista. I was told that some features are lost with XP, such as the hot key utility and I agreed to go ahead.

However, I was not informed that the sound is scratchy and the video will behave as if I play a scratched CD.
It is true with windows sounds as well. I was not able to enjoy the music or video. I have all the drivers updated and the new Bios XP released recently has been updated.

Please does anyone know someone using this model with XP as an operating system with the sound and video works properly?
This would mean that I was sold a laptop with a defective sound equipment and should get a replacement because I had this problem from day one.

Thanks for the help in advance.

  • Satellite Pro P200: Cannot play Age of Empires, because DirectDraw

    I just replaced my old laptop (a ps210e) with a 15th Satellite Pro P200.

I can't my old age of Empires II game to run--the error message is "cannot initialize the graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw. »

Google told me that there is utility to run to test this called dxdiag and I ran it and it says allowed to DirectDraw acceleration (as well as many other things).

So, what should I do to get the Age of Empires to run?

Moreover, is this an official forum of Toshiba to get technical support, or simply a community of user group? I couldn't find anything on the Web of Toshiba UK site actually contact the Toshiba direct technical support.

    Thank you

Stand by. Have you Vista preinstalled Satellite Pro P200? Did you check the minimum system requirements for Age of Empires?

  • Satellite Pro P200: Cannot install Server 2003 - parity memory error

I have a Satellite Pro P200 and to the work required to install Windows 2003 server on it, but all I get is an error message:

    -Hardware malfunction

Call your provider of support material

NMI: Parity check / memory parity error

    -The system is shut down

I checked the memory and everything seems OK. Vista runs very well on it, and all memory is recognized. I tried different flavors of Server 2003, although all I need is standard edition. Anyone who has met this problem, or someone has any suspicion as to how I can get it operational.

So, how tested the RAM? With Memtest? Or Prime95?

I read in many forums that people work servers (no laptop...) SERVERS) that correctly work 1 year with ECC memory, then windows 2003 server gives the same error message you have.

I mean if Vista works flawlessly and you checked as you say the RAM while there could be a mismatch which must not be for lack of toshibas.
Maybe you should try a linux ubuntu server edition, which works great on almost * ALL * systems, even on systems with faulty CPU/memory (Ok, ok, not 100%, but it works, I got this case :))

So, maybe you can try to exchange the RAM, but if you're still the same error then ask microsoft or try another P200, if they are available.

Sorry dude, but I Don t have a lot of ideas in your situation :/

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro P200 - 17 c: Win XP won't load - installation of the SATA driver

    Hello

I have a satellite pro p200 - 17 c I've had good years, allways worked without any problem.

Last week when I booted the laptop, windows won't load and I find myself safe mode selection screen. No options whatsoever me to windows loading, I tried F8 and still nothing.

I tried the restore cd that reimagee the drive but I get the same thing, I tried a new hard drive, once again the same.

But if I try to load windows from an OEM to install that software does not because it is a sata drive and there is no floppy drive. I have an external floppy drive I use, but it is not known now.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hello

Go to BIOS and set it to default settings.

In this case the SATA mode must be on AHCI. In this case the SATA drivers are required to install the Windows operating system. But as much as I know that Windows 7 already contains the SATA drivers if usually you don t had to add SATA drivers while OS installation the installation program.

However, here is a nice HowTo document that helps you add SATA drivers for Win XP installation disc.

  • No software DVD player with my new Satellite Pro P200

Just bought a new Satellite Pro P200 and, to my surprise and dismay, it has software player DVD No. inside? I downloaded the DVD drive on the official download here, but Vista abandoned the facility saying that I can not install the application. Have you tried to configure it as a Admin, but the same message is given running.

Suggestions as to how I can get the software to run movies DVD on the new laptop computer would be most appreciated.

The laptop is model is PSPB7E, it has Vista Business installed and has a HD-DVD drive installed.

Would apprecate a response early to what I already plan to return this item, demanding a full refund since it seems that it does NOT use a software which SHOULD run (IE. Compatible versions of some software XP will simply not installed because Vista blocks!).

Kamshot - discouraged by the new culture of 'Vista '!

    Hi Kam

As far as I know every Toshiba laptop comes with pre-installed software allows you to watch DVD movies. It is a part of the standard installation and the application is called WinDVD.

According to the specifications of the laptop, your laptop has no HD DVD player, just DVD-Super Multi (+ r DL). Because of this there is no HD DVD player.

  • Problems after updating the BIOS on Satellite Pro P200

I recently buy a Satellite Pro P200 running Windows Vista Business. Yesterday, I updated the BIOS to the version 1.50 supplied with the machine to 1.80 available on the Toshiba site. I double checked that I was using BIOS correct update for the Pro P200 Satellitel running Vista.

After updating the BIOS, I have now two problems:

    1. whenever I start and join the office, I get an error message "record of Vista has stopped working". This problem has been identified as toshibavistaregistration.exe here: [link: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=99805]

2 Control Panel > system now shows the processor and the memory (RAM) as "not available". Execution of the diagnostic PC Toshoba tool and looking at basic information show also no information on the memory (RAM) Although the processor information here. There may be pieces others missing too under the eyes of list shorter than before the update of the BIOS.

Basically, I want to get everything working again as it should, but cannot find any information on these issues.

After further review, it appears that the update of the BIOS is not the cause of the problems.

Immediately after updating the BIOS, I had a major system crash. It turns out that this is what has caused problems.

After a system restore to a point before the update of the BIOS and the major system crash, now everything is working again with BIOS version 1.8 in place.

  • Satellite Pro P200-1MA: how to disable battery beeps less than 10%?

I use my laptop (Satellite Pro P200-1MA) especially indoors, connected to the outlet, but because I am a student I travel on a regular basis and usually I watch movies during this time. About an hour and a half in the recall of battery low film begins making movies for the last 10-15 minutes completely unbearable. That is why it is of absolute importance for me to find a way to disable this callback no value. Thanks in advance.

Have you ever tried to find these settings only?

Please don't be crazy on me, but it's really raise what you're asking here. You need not more than 2 minutes to find a way to reduce the critical battery level.

  • White screen after the Satellite Pro P200 display driver update

I installed the latest display driver ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 (8.432, on the site of Toshiba through Tempo) on my Satellite Pro P200 yesterday. Reboot, everything seems good as much as the screen "Please wait...". "Windows Vista professional, but instead of showing the page of connection I get an empty screen (with a mouse cursor that moves around as usual). All I can do at this point is to be able to, and I'm running out of ideas on how to move forward.

    Things I've tried:
    # start in safe mode, the video resolution or last known good configuration, result the same screen empty.
    # connect to the system using remote desktop (to disable the driver) is not possible because the system has not yet loaded the network drivers.
    # I can't go back to a restore point because Vista can't find (I did a manual after you install updates windows over a couple of days).
I can run a system command line options of recovery and prefer to use it to disable the driver + if + I knew how before the use of the more radical options.

A search on the web (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ati+catalyst+vista+blank+screen&hl=en&sa= N) reveals that this has happened on a wide range of laptops with
previous versions of the driver, but none of the links I've looked at to give a solution which does not exist for me.

I agree with Hairyfool, you who should solve problems using an external display. If no image appears, then something with the material might be.

Please give some information about your situation...

    See you soon

  • Satellite Pro P200-15W: drivers ATI Mobility HD2600 & game bugs

    Hello
first of all, please, I beg you, forgive my English, I use a translator

    message from Ati:

+ "" Please contact AMD customer care for ATI products service! +

+ The only version that you can use your card is one that is available to the manufacturers of your laptop's Web site. Unfortunately, with 2 cards Radeon to the k series, laptop manufacturers has decided to be the only provider of pilots. We cannot offer you a software. » » +

It is a big problem, because the gaps are excluded in for example some games.
I have problems with Bioshock (and others), the drivers recent ATI solve and improve a lot of things, but they do not exist for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600.

I have Windows vista Business, in a new Satellite Pro P200-15W, is a very good laptop, but unfortunately without the updated drivers with the last improves the manufacturer Ati will have lost performance and bugs without resolving (I think)

Is no way to solve this?
    Thank you
    Pablo

    > Here is the technical service of Toshiba?
It seems that it is only a user forum. Here no Toshiba technician!

    > How is it possible that do not allow to use the latest drivers from ATI?

Because graphics cards for laptops are not the same thing as s GPU for laptops!
Toshiba graphics card drivers are a bit changed. The drivers support a thermal protection to prevent GPU notebooks against damage.

The graphics in the books don t support an own huge cooling modules as the GPU workstations.
Therefore, the graphics driver must control the growth of the temperature. If the temperature increases to a critical level, the GPU driver decreases the performance of the graphics card to lower the temperature.

The original ATI don't support such characteristic graphic drivers!

But there should be a possibility to use the ATI drivers.
You must download the ATI driver package and install the driver from the Device Manager.
There, choose Install from a list or a specific location-> don't search. I will choose the driver to install.
Then simply select the INF file that was downloaded with the package.

But note; These drivers can be used only at your own risk!

  • SSD upgrade for Satellite Pro P200 (PSPB7A-01000J) - possible?

    Hello world

I had a Satellite Pro P200 for 3 years and more. It came with Vista Business pre-installed, but I have successfully installed Windows 7 a few months ago.

A few months ago, I replaced the C drive in my office with a Solid State Drive and now he sings - program start and loading of the system is much faster than before.

Now I'm wondering if the SSD upgrade even could be done to my trusty P200 and if yes, what brand/model of SSD could be better. It should be 128 GB or 256 GB maybe.

Anyone else been in this way? The results? Pitfalls?

    All responses appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Greg.

    Hello

I think that it should be possible.
You must use a SATA SSD drive since the laptop supports the SATA controller.
To be honest, I never tried to upgrade the laptop with a SSD but SSD is not very different from the HARD drive and normally should not be a problem.
In some cases, an update of the firmware of SSD may be necessary but usually these firmware updates should be available on the SSD drive manufacturer support page.

  • Failure of the BIOS - Satellite Pro P200 - 16 c

I installed Windows 7 64 bit on a laptop Satellite Pro P200 today. I then tried flashing the BIOS through windows with program Flash BIOS on Toshiba driver download page. I used the program flash for Vista because none is available for Windows 7. The program started and took a backup of my old version of BIOS and then Flash the BIOS. Then after a while an error occurred saying that this operating system was not supported.

Alright. I restarted the computer and he was going to access the BIOS to see if the new version was done to install or not. But I can't access the BIOS now since the TI of suddenly password protected. I tried Google known standard Phoenix BIOS passwords, but they do not work. Now I've mistyped the password if often the computer won't let me even start without entering a correct password.

How can I reset the BIOS? Should I open the laptop and remove the CMOS battery? Which will work?

    Help, please...

    Hello

You used not compatible BIOS and it seems that module ROM BIOS was not flashed properly.
Unfortunately, there is nothing to do but to contact the ASP of Toshiba in your country,
Guys could remove the password and can reflash the BIOS using a traditional disk BIOS version and the crisis.

    > How can I reset the BIOS? Should I open the laptop and remove the CMOS battery? Which will work?
No, remove the CMOS battery would not help because as far as I know that the CMOS battery is not removable on laptops just ASP can clear the BIOS password.
