Cannot use USB keys

I tried to get 2 different keys to work on my boyfriend's computer.  It is running XP and it's an older version.  The port that I put them in work so that isn't the problem.  I go into the Device Manager and there is no yellow question mark and when I click on them they said that it has not installed the drivers for the USB key.  He searches the computer for a driver and of course it is not a.

These are only $13. disks and so they do not come with any software.  How can I get the right driver.  It does not say the name of the USB but I can not find a site with this title.

    Hello

Have you seen yellow errors such as exclamation points in Device Manager?
If not, in this case it of not necessary to install all the drivers.
Moreover, the operating system automatically recognizes the USB ports.

But what USB device doesn't work? As far as I know if this external device needs more energy than the 500mA so it is possible that the operating system can not recognize this device.
In this case you need an external power supply for this part or you try to use the USB hub.

    Hello.

This morning, out of the blue, two important keys on my keyboard are not what they are supposed to:

First step with a problem like this (or most of the problems) must be
to restart the computer. It sometimes fixes things. Have you tried?

If this does not work, buy or borrow another keyboard and see if you are using
    This solves the problem.

    Hello

Fn keys are controlled by special tools of Toshiba and depends on the running system.

Using Win XP, you need to install the common Modules and this must be done first. The common modules is an essential component of Windows systems.
He will perform the other original programming from TOSHIBA to work properly.

    Check this box:
    [Common Module Win XP v6.07.03 | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 4 & selSeries = 151 & selProduct 7565 = & selSh ortMod = null & language = 13 & selOS = 10 & selType = all & yearu pload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = a llMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = al l & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 1 & ID = 83752 & OSI D = 10 & driverLanguage = 42]

To get the other buttons FN working (ie the screen switching output), you must install hotkey utilities for display devices
    [Utility Hotkey for display v1.0.2.5 for Win XP | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 4 & selSeries = 151 & selProduct 7565 = & selSh ortMod = null & language = 13 & selOS = 10 & selType = all & yearu pload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = a llMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = al l & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 2 & ID = 83758 & OSI D = 10 & driverLanguage = 42]

In order to disable the touchpad, you need to install Touch Pad on / off Utility
    [Touch Pad on / off Utility for Win XP v2.5.5.1 | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 4 & selSeries = 151 & selProduct 7565 = & selSh ortMod = null & language = 13 & selOS = 10 & selType = all & yearu pload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = a llMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = al l & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 3 & ID = 83770 & OSI D = 10 & driverLanguage = 42]

I recommend you to check the page of the Toshiba UE driver and install all the available drivers for Win XP.

  • Satellite 2450 S203: cannot use "easy keys".

    Hello
There are four buttons in the front part of my laptop for easy to use CD/DVD/MP3 (with the laptop closed), the so-called 'easy touches... "
Anyone know how I can turn them on? I can't use them.

    Thank you
    LaSa

    Hello Mara,

the easy keys are activated by software that control of Toshiba. You can download from http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
Go to Support & downloads and then to the support home page. You could choose your laptop and settings. Then you can download Toshiba controls.

If you have it installed, go to the Start Menu and Toshiba Console. In the Console, you have an icon called Toshiba buttons. There you can set the properties of your easy keys.

Tip: You can install all the utilities toshiba, those that make the job easier! ;-)

  • Re: Cannot use arrow keys when playing flash games

Someone had this problem? The arrow keys on my keyboard do not work when I play flash games. Have downloaded the latest version of adobe, but not luck. Is it sounds like a hardware problem? What is the best way to thing to work around this problem?

    Thanks for any response.

For me it has nothing to do with a malfunction of the equipment. If you can use the arrow keys in Windows or any application there absolutely no problem with the keyboard or something similar.

Maybe is this result of the issue of the restriction of game control.

  • Qosmio G30-163 - cannot use access keys

    Hello everyone.

I was having the problem with my shortcut keys.
So I can't do the used.

Where can I download this software?
    Someone help me please?

    Best regards

    If you're looking for the software (driver), which controls the keys Fn on Vista OS, then I recommend the European driver of Toshiba page;

The site driver Toshiba can be found here.

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com *-> support & downloads-> support-> Drivers Download home page *.

There you should take a look at the Toshiba value added package that contains the different utilities.
The TOSHIBA components common driver must be installed first. Then install the software TOSHIBA Flash Cards that provides Hotkey function and function of pitcher who starts the keyboard shortcut function and sends the other TOSHIBA utilities.

    Best regards

  • Cannot use USB Linux Live on Predator 17 G9-791

Hi all! I try to get my Predator to start a Linux Live USB with persistence (note: I don't mean to install Linux, just restart). I know that the ISO is good (I checked the MD5 and it redownloaded few times) and I've used several different creators of Live USB, but every time I try to start Ethernet Intel misled and I get. I activated the F12 Boot menu, I enabled legacy starting because USB doesn't show under UEFI and I disable secure boot. Is that all that I'm missing.

Here are pictures of what I see.

Thank you! Also, I already talked to the support of predator line and basically they said that they could not help with the loading of a new operating system on my laptop... I get in the sense that is you need help to install Linux, you should probably install Linux, but is not what I am trying to accomplish. Unfortunately, this is all the help they could provide.

    Anywho, thanks guys!

First, check your BIOS version, if it is less than 1.10, update.

    http://global-download.Acer.com/GDFiles/BIOS/BIOS/BIOS_Acer_1.10_A_A.zip?acerid=635960424469495308&S...

You must have an OS upgrade the BIOS of windows available.

the Intel ethernet error is correct, since it's your camera fifth bootable to startup list (photo 2), so after trying the other 4, it stops here looking for something bootable on the ethernet card.

what Linux distro you try to boot from USB?

for most of the last distribution major, UEFI/EFI are compatible, simply create a USB bootable EFI to start successfully under the UEFI.

    I suggest you to Rufus:

    https://Rufus.AKEO.IE/?locale=en_US

He just put it as on the screenshot of the home page, let create the bootable media and try to start it.
