cannot watch videos or play games

When I try to watch a video or play games online (game colony) it won't let me it says I need Adobe Flash, when I try to install Adobe flash, he says he can't because I use a 64-bit browser and I need a 32-bit browser... How can I do this
Thank you

Hello Ollyvon,

Thank you for posting.  Vista 64 bit has a 32-bit version of Internet Explorer is installed by default.  You can open it by clicking on the Program Files (x 86) folder on local disk C: your computer.   There should be two Program Files folders.  The "Program Files" folder is for 64-bit programs and the "Program files (x 86)" will contain all 32-bit programs, including Internet Explorer 32-bit.
Look in the Program Files (x 86) folder to find the "Internet Explorer" folder.  Once inside, look for the file "iexplore" or "iexplorer.exe".  It will be 32 bit IE.  You can click right and creat a shortcut on the desktop for easy access later.
Using the 32-bit version of IE you will be able to install flash.

Please let me know if this helps you. Zack

A few weeks ago, my pc started freezing after playing online games and watching videos on youtube. To be more precise, when I look at either videos or play WoW, the computer works normally. Sometimes when I do both it freezes or the screen goes black and I have to move forward by restarting the computer. I could say it is not always present, as many times it comes back after a few seconds. My pc is brand new, not more than 2 months of use. • Cannot watch DVDs or play games on Equium A60

    Hello

I updated my BIOS about three months ago because I had problems with ati2dvag.dll, and that seems to have solved the problem. I tried every fix I could find for this particular BSOD including change the driver for my PCI bridge to PCI. Only the BIOS update seems to have who cured for good.

However, I have since discovered that I can't watch DVDs on my laptop, or play games with 3D content. I use WinDVD for watching DVDs, and it keeps bringing a message telling me to lower my screen resolution or to change to a lower refresh rate. However, when I do that it still does not play the DVD.

Trying to run a game (in this case Lemmings Revolution), the game started to load to a black screen before giving me the error message "not detected 3D accelerator.

Any help would be welcome, because I can't work out what to do!

    Hello

Start the DirectX on you laptop.

    How?
Click Start - open 'RUN' - type dxdiag

Then you should see the DirectX diagnostic tool. Go to the view tab and check all the options if they are enabled. (Acceleration of direct draw, Direct 3D acceleration, etc.)
You can also start the tests.

I suggest you try to play videos in Internet Explorer and confirm if the problem exists for all browsers. However, if the videos play fine on Internet Explorer, then I would recommend you contact Google chrome support. You can also check out the link below for reference.

  • Cannot watch videos without it rewind itself.

My problem is that when I watch videos on the web, he's about 15 seconds into the video, then the screen freezes but the sound continues, BUT as a rerun of about 10 back in the video. When these 10 seconds have passed the continuous video with audio in sync. After a minute or two, it happens again. video freezing of 10 seconds and 10 seconds of audio. Which is really VERY annoying.
This only happens with my Mozilla Firefox browser, I don't isolate it and installed three times and I use Windows 8. (I know it sucks).
I also got the latest version of Adobe Flash Player V11.

    Thank you.

What security (firewall, antivirus) software do you have?

Make sure that you allow the process plugin-container in the firewall, and that your anti-virus is not cause of this problem by analyzing media files.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can check for problems with the latest version of the Flash plugin and try these:

    • disable an eventual extension of the browser for Firefox Plugin RealPlayer Record and if installed RealPlayer update
    • Disable protected mode in the plugin Flash (Flash 11.3 + on Windows Vista and later versions)
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
  • Cannot connect live to play games

However, when I tried recording on my account with trillian, a third-party instant messaging client msn, it works. It is only this laptop because I logged in my office in the same edition of the games with the same windows live ID, and it works fine. I need help.

Hello papa99, from your description of the issue, I would seek to a heat problem. Because games require the most resources of a computer and puts more load on the components, I would look for associated heat condition first.

You can check that inside the system is free of any dust/dirt especially overall heatsinl/CPU fan.

    Just a thought.

  • I use the FireFox browser, so what do I use it instead of Flash to be able to watch videos without going to Chrome, IE or another browser?

Since Firefox is disable Adobe Flash, what do I use to watch videos or play games that require a Flash drive?

Adobe released an update yesterday to solve critical problems, he admitted were in the 18.0.0.203 version. You can get 18.0.0.209 on this page:

    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

In the first table, find the row corresponding to "browser plugin", and you can use either the EXE or the MSI installer.

No one can promise that this kind of block will never happen. If that happens, if you are not accustomed to using the "Request to activate" feature a plugin, here's what to expect:

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification icon in the address bar and usually (but not always) one of the following values: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click on the Lego-like icon in the address bar to allow Flash. You can trust the site for the time being or permanently.

But some pages use Flash only for tracking or play ads, so if you do not see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification! It will just sit there in case you later want.

  • Vista crashes when I watch DVD videos or online and play solitaire but don't no where to play games like mass effect?

    Hello!
I have ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series (2 GB of Ram, Pentium R Dual Core CPU E5200 @ 2.5GHz, Vista SP2, 32-bit operating system. I don't know if it's important). Lately my computer has been crashing when I watch videos or play a loner, but not every time except solitaire.  It freezes, green squares are everywhere, then it goes black and turns.  I've updated just as much as I can, I cleaned everything as much as I can. It does not crash when I play games suitable as mass effect, and that seems to work very well.

Don't you think it's because I have little Ram? I looked up on this subject, most people just say to make things of course are up to date, but I'm OCD to make things of course are updated now, and it didn't help a bit. IM nervous to uninstall anything.  Ive forgot what it's called, but I did check to see if the files have been corrupted. Above all I do not understand why it does.  Please could you help. I know nothing about computers and I don't want to make things worse.  Evil appreciate any help, thanks: o)
