Canon optura 50 on HDTV playback

I connected my camcorder to my new Samsung 55 inch HD TV.  I also have a DVD and the bar of its connected to this unit.  When reading a tape, the sound passes by, but the picture is black and white.  The camcorder display video playback in color.  I don't know if it's a connection problem, problem setting TV or maybe one of the camcorder was created inadvertently to an incorrect setting for playback.  The other issue could play SD tape on a TV with a resolution of 1080.

Previously on an older TV, I had no problem with that except that the colors were never as bright as on the screen small camcorder.  Someone on the forum indicated with records SD playback on HDTV, the color would not be strong.

Suggestions about the colors would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Jules,

Reduce your computer's resolution setting will allow the played back video to be biggest in size physical on your screen when you look at, but it will not improve the color and picture quality.

  • Toshiba 46TL938: 3D playback choppy when PC to TV via HDMI

    Hello

I have a very specific problem and cannot identify exactly what the problem maybe. In short:

-J' have a 3D film which is read by VLC but also KMplayer.
-On my monitor 23 "1080 p via HDMI, the film plays well enough and smooth.
-On my Toshiba 46 "HDTV playback on 3D sometimes accused, exactly the same thing when a computer cannot handle the load and the shifts on video playback.
-J' tried to put the film on a USB and connect it to the TV. Then playback of 3D on the TV was really smooth without any lag.

If the facts are executives work well on a HD 23 "(playedback with VLC and KMplayer) monitor, but also run smooth on my laptops screen."
Fact is also that the same movie plays smooth a Flash USB plugged into the TV.

I tried with another movie (no 3D) listen to from my laptop via HDMI on my TV. This worked pretty well without any lag.

    (1) so my main question is if the movie is not correct, why play it right back via a USB, but not through my laptop.

    (2) in addition, if my computers vga portable would be unable to handle the 1080, I guess that reading also lag on my monitor 23 "which is also 1080.

I have really no idea if it's the movie, TV or vga that has the problem.
    Any suggestion would be great.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

I put t thinks that his TV show.
First of all using USB flash memory, the movie is managed by Toshiba media player and second the data does not need to be send via cable.

The notebook movie streaming, you send the signal to the TV via an HDMI cable. 3D movies contains a lot of data and this could affect the playback quality streaming of data from one device to another.

So if you have seen some interruptions during playback, it could be linked to the HDMI cable.
If your HDMI connection is capable of 1080 p and/or your TV is capable of greater than 50 Hz refresh rate, need you a cable of category 2. Conventional HDMI/DVI cable may not work properly with this model. Also try a short cable (1.5 to 2 m)

You should also consult the user manual * 88.* page
The HDMI on the TV inputs accept the VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA and SXGA signal formats that are
as shown in table _page 88_ VESA-compatible.

Since some PC and HDMI or DVI input signals of devices which differ of the resolution and frequency that are described in the table, the following phenomenon can happen; _incorrect display, detection of fake format, failure of position photo, blur or judder_.

In this case, set the monitor output on your PC, HDMI or DVI device to conform to a signal in the table you will find in the user manual.

  • Import of VCR via camcorder: so close!

    Hello knowledgeable helpful people!

I have many VHS tapes personal I'll scan.  I think I have everything I need, so I don't want to buy the Elgato stuff and still less a dedicated combo VCR/DVD-R.  I just need help for iMovie to capture the incoming signal.

-VCR to camcorder Canon Optura 60 via red/white/yellow RCA A / V capable (according to the instructions of Canon).

Canon has specially designed the camcorder for passthrough A/D converter.

    Camcorder/a. passthrough mode

-Camcorder to rMBP via a cable Firewire (native on camcorder end, FW400 Apple adapter of lightning on the end of the computer)

Everything works fine right up until I can't capture.  I launched iMovie (current version), and just correct camcorder news show top-left as a source! Excellent.  I started a new project, click on the import media button arrow down and Push Play in the VCR.  I saw the perfect video hearing audio perfect both the camcorder and the computer.  I clicked on the import button at the bottom right and waited a minute for a short test run.  Then, I clicked on the button stop the import or whatever it was called.  At that time, I didn't see any new items captured.  Tried several times more; nothing.

The only other thing, I will mention is that 'Not controllable camcorder' warning came at the top left of the window to capture.  I don't need to control the camcorder, however, so no big deal.  I clearly has a good, digital / signal V coming in the Macbook, but I can't figure out how to get iMovie to capture him.

Any help?  Should I look at a different application?  I hesitate to spend the money on something else, like I have everything that I need.

    Much obliged, community.

iMovie 10 requires Timecode for the import. Your camcorder generates timecode of band but no passthrough.

Earlier versions of iMovie require no timecode for the import.

    Option 1.

Save your VHS tapes on a DV tape on your cam' and then transfer the cam' in iMovie.

    Option 2.

Quick Time Player allows to save and then import the data into iMovie.  QuickTime Player is on your Mac.

How to use QuickTime Player - Apple Support

In the options, set the Maximum recording quality.

As you have several VHS tapes, then option 2 is probably the simplest.

  • PE2 and Canopus ADVC110

My Pyro AV link that I used for years with PE2 got taken out by a bolt of lightning for the House.  Just got a Canopus ADVC110 to replace.  I can't work with PE2.  Called Canopus tech support and they said that the ADVC110 does not for digital signals?  Yet, it works fine with Ulead also located on my PC.  He suggested that I plug in my digital camera (Canon Optura 20) directly to my PC and use PE2.  What are my best options?  A new version of PE will work with the ADVC110 and my Canon.  I also have some old VHS tapes so secret.

    Thank you.

Why do you want to use the device of Canopus to capture from your camcorder miniDV that its signal is digital already. I think the Firewire, digital input on the front of the unit of Canopus is usable only if you convert digital-> Analog. You should be able to capture the camcorder Canon via Firewire directly in Premiere Elements.

  • PE 2 video not playing anymore.

2 PE stopped accepting video clips from my Canon PowerShot S5, only audio playback.  This is the case for the recorded clips tht and newly uploaded clips used to play.  The video shows only black glitter.  The clips will play fine in QuickTime.  In addition, previous projects I saved no longer play.  Any suggestions?

Looks like your MJPEG codec has been removed from your computer... or PE2 can access is no longer. You could try to reload any software provided with the camera or try a free MJPEG codec: http://www.free-codecs.com/Motion_JPEG_Codec_download.htm

  • Files from Nikon (CS5.5) stuttering during playback. Canon files were very good. Do I need a different sequence setting, upgrade of the computer?

I have been change in first CS 5.5 and have always enjoyed a generally transparent experience, but since the change of camera from Canon to Nikon systems, I can't play back more than 2 layers of Nikon without playback stutter. I could easily stack 3 or more layers of Canon without issue.all

I think I'm following best practices for my hardware, and as I said, I've accomplished in the past, but it seems that my machine does not meet the Nikon video anywhere near as well as he did with Canon. Everyone knows this?

  • Satellite P200 - no playback sound through Panasonic HDTV

Hi, I recently bought a laptop P200 and tried to read a DVD HD through my Panasonic HDTV, connecting the HDMI port from the laptop to the TV with an HDMI port cable HDMI and the connection of the headphone jack on the laptop with two audio jacks on the back of the TV. However, even if the image is very good, no sound is coming through the television.
I think I can be with view of something incredibly obvious, but someone at - it suggestions as to why can't no sound from my TV?

    Thank you!

    Hello

As much as I know using HDMI video Cable and audio signals will be sent to your TV. For this reason there is no need separate cable for the transfer of audio data. Please remove audio cable. Connect your laptop to the TV, use the FN + F5 key combination, and switch to the external device. Please use TV only.

Set the channel on the TV (HDMI port) and enjoy life. I have 32 Bravia LCD TV and everything works perfectly.

  • Canon 7 d "*" button does not reduce the magnification during playback

My Canon 7 d "*" button will not "reduce the image / display thumbnails" while reviewing images (described on page 165 in the official Canon 7 d docs.)

What the "*" button made during the review of the images is complete the review process and return the camera to normal operations.

The "*" otherwise performs duties as announced during the filming of the photos and the camera works fine.

    1. Does anyone else have this problem?
    2. Is my camera broken?
    3. If Yes, can it be repaired?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    PJoseph,

Not going on the notes and advice, there are no known problems with the EOS 7 d that you describe.  It is unusual, and if you are still having trouble with this, I recommend that you have the camera assessed by our authorized Service Center.

To start this process, you will need to fill out a service request on our Web site.

  • Slow playback of the Canon 5 d Mark III file

I tried this new Canon 5 d Mark III native. MOV in CS5.5 of the Agency: https://vimeo.com/38055013

    Available for download on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/38055013/download?t=1331098396 & v = 87557753 & s = 60764fbb7ca30180cd7cfb02022a dc3c

In CS5.5, it plays OK for a few seconds and then slows down the way. Sequence created from the format of the clip (matches). GTX 285, 12 Core 2.93 (MacPro running Win7x64), same question CPU or GPU.

Plays well in PPro CS5 Vegas 11, Windows Media Player, etc..

Anyone can verify this agency CS5.5 number?

This is confirmed as a bug in CS5.5. Change the name of the file to .mpg .mov is a work-around, prompting the charger in order to use a code path native Quicktime vs. This bug does not exist in CS5 (file play in real time). Adobe: wouldn't it wiser for the loader native to try to load the file first and if she can't, define metadata to load via Quicktime for subsequent loads? It seems that the code is currently hardcoded with a match pattern that will use the native charger and if not, use Quicktime (otherwise there seems to be a different kind of bug).

  • Playback issue on Canon 5 d Mark III:

Use a 8 GB Compact Flash card. Capacity of 622 JPEG image quality.  Shot about 500 photos during a polo match.  Downloaded on my computer in Picasa and Picasa would only about 337 photos.  Tried to see the remaining photos on the screen of the image on the back of the camera and the screen showed only a thumbnail of the photo and said, "can not reading of the image.  Any ideas why this happens?

Hmmm, I'm not familiar with this brand of card but I suspect it is bad, or at least goes wrong. I wouldn't trust it no more.

You can try to recovery software out there to see if the other images are recoverable.

I recommend and use only, SanDisk or Lexar.  (RescuePro comes with, or at least used to come with SanDisk cards).

ProMaster can be an OK brand and your just went south on you.

  • Playback jerky with CS5 and Canon 5Dmk2 files

    Hi all!

I have a problem and I am really frustrated with it. It seems that cannot get even a track with 5 d mk2 replaying files without serious problems... My machine is

    Athlon X 2 7750 Black Edition 2.7 GHz AM2 + CPU

    8 GB RAM (Patriot)

    2 x 250 GB RAID0 (mother RAID card, guess it's a software?)  250 GB for scratch + 500 GB for original material

NVIDIA 480GTX (Zotec) with hack for CS5, the latest drivers from Nvidia

equipped with a Nvidia 8300 graphics card

    First CS5

    Windows 7, 64 bit.

Maybe not relevant, but I have three monitors connected to these maps - 2560 x 1600 HP and Sony TV 1920 x 1080 to 480GTX and a Samsung 1920 x 1080 with Nvidia 8300... I heard that there could be problems with the installation of multiple monitors?

Not a single file of 5 d mk2 cannot be read without stuttering, although even if I put 10 layers of these files, the Ribbon is always yellow but then everything freezes if I try to play it (the sound turns on but the video stops)... What should do? I7 is the solution?

The images you are trying to change are quite demanding on any PC, but your CPU is medium to low power to cope. Illustrative, that your system is about 80 times slower than a good performance system. Minimum requirements for comfortable editing of this material is an i7.

What you try, it's like pulling a truck of 10 tons with a bike.

Your system is seriously out of balance, a big ugly CPU video card and disk configuration that is below par.

  • Choppy playback of time line: associated with El Capitan?

I just bought a new imac to 4 GHz i7 with 32 GB of Ram and a video card with 4 GB of VRAM.  I had been editing in Yosemite on my old Mac Pro 2 x2.26 Ghz with 16 GB Ram ATI Radeon HD4870 with 512 MB of VRAM.  I took my records of media since the Mac Pro and them housed in a case of love at first sight 2 OWC which is now set for the new iMac with cable Thunderbolt.

I'm editing of AVCHD files shot with a Canon Vixia HF G30 mitraillees 58,94 1920 x 1080 p.  On the old system, the timeline playback was smooth.  On the new system, playback is choppy.  If I optimize multimedia clips, reading improves significantly, but I never had to do before. The new system uses OS El Capitan 10.11.2.  What is an OS problem?  Or, do you think it could be a problem, now that the media players are in a thunderbolt case 2?  I think it's frustrating because I just paid a lot of money for a system that is supposed to be bigger, badder, faster!

  • screen moves to the left on hdtv screen when loading games

With some games, when they load the screen moves to the left, causing the left side of the screen appears on th right as well as a black boarder. im running windows 7 on an emachine 2.0 GB with an AMD sepron (tm) 145 Proccesor 2.80 GHz with Geforce NVIDIA nforce 430 vidieo - and im using a flat screen of 37 "viso HDTV as a monitor

    Hello

In windows 7, the resolution of the screen during playback of some of these changes of games based on the resolution of the screen, you have provided for the game.

    Method 1:

Do a right click and go to the shortcut properties and find the box where it says 'run' pass the value normal in full screen.

If this does not help, configure the following setting and check:

    (a) right click on the game shortcut icon, click Properties.

    (b) on the shortcut tab, go to run.

    (c) in the drop-down list, select expand.

    (d) click on apply to apply the setting.

    (e) click on Ok to confirm the change.

    Method 2:

Also, I suggest you try changing the hardware acceleration, here are the steps to change the hardware acceleration.

    (a) go to start > Control Panel

    (b) in the window of the Control Panel, click appearance and personalization

    (c) click personalization > display settings, and then click Advanced settings.

    (d) go to the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings.

    Note:

The settings will be disabled if the graphics card driver does not support disabling hardware acceleration.

Move the hardware acceleration slider until it is one notch to the right of none. It is the basis of acceleration.

Click OK twice, and then close the window.
