Canon Pixma MP500 Printer/Scanner compatibility with Windows 8

I was able to improve aspects of the printer of the Pixma MP500 with Windows 8, but I wonder why the scanner is not able to work with Windows 8?  Is there a software download for that the scanner can work with the printer?  The software is not agree with not compatible with 64-bit and version 8 States.

There is a work around the scanner does not.  I have Windows 7 and had the same problem.  Nothing I've tried has worked, but discovered that if you have Photoshop or another program of message processing, you can import the file of the scanner using a router and it works.

  • CANON Canoscan Lide 500F Scanner USB with Windows 7 64 bit

When I try to operate this scanner by pressing the scan on the scanner, Service Image Acquisition Windows tells me "there is no application registered for this event. The scanner using Canoscan Toolbox is recognized in the select the Source area, but when I press "select" I get "unable to select TWAIN source". I saw a lot of people have already had this problem but I have not seen a solution that works for me.

BTW this mixture of languages bothers me a lot. Although my Windows 7 is installed in English, and although the English (US) is defined as my main input language, some programs insist to settle in French. I guess that's what we call "smart" software Sometimes I hanker after the silly software from the old days. :-)

  • Canon Pixma MG5420 is not compatible with Windows 8

When I install the software, my laptop can detect the printer and finishes the installation, but the network configuration of the printer driver will always fail. The printer is easily connected to my network. I can use the webprint my smartphone app - fantastic print of the photo, but my office or my cell phone (the two Windows 8) can print even a test page - driver is still not available.
I also tried the USB Setup. It seems to work but I still get this error: "program could not load the required component and it will put end. Please reinstall your software." I uninstalled the software several times, shut down the PC, reinstalled the software, all to nothing does not. I can see the printer in the devices with the usb or wsd drivers Manager, but it is not available to any program.
Setup has failed by using the disc that came with the printer and the file downloaded from Canon: mp68-victory-mp5400-1_01 - ejs.exe.
I returned the printer to the seller.

  • Canon BJC-50 printer and scanner work with Windows 7?

I have a printer Canon BJC-50 with the cartridge scanner.  I ordered a USB to parallel cable adapter must be able to connect to my laptop, because I do not have a parallel port.  The Windows 7 compatibility page says that this printer is compatible with Windows 7.  Canon said that it is not.

Has anyone successfully connected and used a Canon BJC-50 with Windows 7?  If so, were there any problems?

HI - same issue with Canon BJC-80. Says Windows is compatible and Cannon did not write! My BJC-80 prints OK with a USB/parallel cable and install via Windows 7 OK - but printer response time is in minutes to hit a comand "Print" in any program, for example. MS Word 2010?

  • Windows 7 can not find .inf driver for Canon Pixma iP4000 printer connected to Windows XP.

I have a laptop running Windows 7 (64-bit machine) I want to print from.  The laptop is on a home network wireless.  The office is wireless as well and is running Windows XP.  The Office has a Canon Pixma iP4000 printer connected with a parallel cable.  I installed the latest XP drivers for the printer on the desktop.  The laptop can connect directly to the printer with a USB cable and drivers will download automatically and it will print correctly.  However, I can't connect the printer using the wireless system.  I can go on the laptop to the home network and navigate to the printer and try to install.  It makes an automatic search and says that it cannot find the correct drivers.  I can browse to the file to install on my desktop, but it of an .exe file and not. INF.  I run the .exe file and it installs too, but Setup of printer on the laptop won't let me not by the .inf screen add to complete the installation of a wireless printer.

    Any suggestions?

Very probably the XP driver name is different from the name of 64-bit driver.  Create a Local Port which copies the data to the print size in Windows 7.

Here is an article knowledge base how to the names of the incompatible drivers.  Replace the Windows 7 machine for NT4 machine referenced in the article.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/282842

If you load the printer driver 32-bit on your 64-bit computer, you need the 32-bit driver for Windows 7.  You can do if you have a 32-bit computer of Windows 7 on the network to push pilots up to the machine that is sharing the printer.  None are flat files on the Windows 7 DVD, you need to install the OS or mount the ISO.

The key to successful sharing between computers that run different printing architecture processors is pilot name.  PCL6 equal NOT PCL 6.

  • Canon PIXMA MX922 printer will allow no 2-sided Word documents

I just installed a new Canon PIXMA MX922 printer to replace an old MX882.  Everything works fine and I am able to print on both sides documents from web pages and e-mail by checking the 'duplex' box on the menu drop down print...  However, I am unable to both sides print all Word documents.  No check box 'two-sided' descend, and no "duplex" option is available, as it was with the MX882.  I never had this problem with the old MX882.  Can you help me?

    Hi LonnieC,

To set the option to print double-sided on a Mac, please open the printer driver:

    1. Select layout... in the file menu of the application.  The Layout dialog opens.

    2. Select print... in the file menu of the application.  The Print dialog box opens. In the print dialog box, you can set the paper type and print quality for printing.

  • Canon Pixma iP1500 printer and it connect not gives an error code 20

I have a canon Pixma iP1500 printer and it does not connect gives an error code 20?

    Hello

    1. If it works much earlier?

    2. did you make any changes before this problem?

    3. What is the exact message you received?

I suggest to go through these steps and check.

    Method 1:

This is due to the UAC. Disable UAC will help because UAC prompts the user the permission to continue, the time required to get the question and answer that cause the printer to turn it off.

If you do not want to activate UAC you can call EnablePrinter when the capture of the EnablePre() event generated by the driver.

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.
