I used Canon camera digital solution disk, ver.17.2 to install my Canon Power Shot A85 on my computer Windows 8. The camera doesn't

    Hi Gordon,.

It would be great if you can provide more information about the issue.

    (2) you get an error message? If Yes, what is the exact error message?

I followed the manual and the I'm new on my camera, but I can't slide the battery cover open on my Canon Power Shot A520. All of the suggestions.

    WG salvation!

    Thanks for posting.

There is a locking switch slide on the battery to be slid sideways as you also push the battery door.  Please make sure you do both at the same time, otherwise the battery door remains locked.

  • Cannot open RAW from Canon Power Shot G7X Marc 11 images to PES 13

I'm not able to open RAW images taken with my Canon Power Shot G7 X 11 brand to 13 items in Photoshop.

Whenever I get the message - Photoshop Elements cannot open this file.  If you try to open a file from a digital camera raw, make sure that you have the latest Camera Raw installed update...

So I passed and got the last update, and I always get the same result, not be able to open in PSE 13 RAW image.

I checked the relevant version required for brand Canon Power Shot G7 X 11 and it says version 9.6.1 was necessary.

I checked the "Photoshop keep updated" and read through the material and tried to download the "install plug-in camera Raw" nothing happened.  I downloaded the 'Camera Raw 9.6.1' and got a 'set up' folder of zip files that finally extracted from 'Set up' and 'charges + adobepatch installer.exe. "

What should I do from here?

The last camera raw update for PSE13 was 9.1. Your choice is:

    1. Upgrade PES
    2. Convert CR2 Adobe raw (DNG) using the free Adobe's DNG Converter
    3. Use the Canon DPP from the disk of the software with your camera

PSE15 must be vacated before the end of September, then you might want to wait before upgrading. In the meantime, you can download PSE14 and use it on a free trial basis.

Im not sure what you mean, but if you mean when you zoom in on a photo in playback mode, it is a way to save the area zoomed separately from the original photo on the camera.

To start the Cup select in the playback menu.

The Zoom lever allows you to resize the image and you can press the dots on the adjustment wheel to move the frame also.

You can also press the Disp to change orientation.

When you are finished, press Set and it will ask you to save a new Image, click Ok.

Press Menu and when your promtped to the new display picture select Yes or no.

  • Edition 64 bit vista Ultimate windows updates not available for Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120 printer driver

I use the 64 bit vista ultimate windows edition and am not able to use my canon laser shot LBP-1120 printer because canon just provides a update driver software that supports only 32-bit version of vista. Please can someone help!

    Hello

I'm sorry, but Canon are those who write and provision of the drivers for your printer.

It may be time to upgrade your printer.

    See you soon.

  • Windows 8: need for Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120 printer driver

I turned on my printer, the other day for the first time since the installation of Windows 8, and nothing happened.

XP drivers I used do not work, or no Vista I found drivers.

Does anyone has experience of this printer with Windows 8, or may suggest a compatible driver please?

    For the record:
I did it. In fact, it is possible to connect a lasershot 1120 Windows 7 x 64 machine.
This should work for win8, don't test that but this guide could still be useful. Not for the faint of heart, however, you must be comfortable with your operating system.
    Here goes:
You need virtual machines for this race of win xp.
Download the integration for the printer modules.
the usb section it should list as shared. Change the connect, disable it in Windows 7.
Install the drivers for Windows XP in the VM through devices > new printer. Those of your original download copy on the virtual disk before their execution. Note that the winspool service crashes. Restart services whenever he does. Check the usb device back to shared. Reconnection in case of failure. To do this, it seems a lot. There is a known bug in the canon CAPT pilot to crash the spooler by the UMBus enumerator service. Because of the virtual machine, you can not fix this. I'm sorry.
Make sure to get the solution of prevention dep canon and install it as well. It's an exe located on the site of canon driver. Only, it'll work when or is in place. At this point, I have made a link to the desktop for system services. To save you the trouble to go to the config.
When everything is installed, you must stop and restart.
With the printer connected and good start win XP virtual.
Spooler crash, nevermind. Go to start > programs > startup and delete the canon statusthingy.
change the settings for usb devices connected.
Check printing devices, it should show the lbp1120. The opening he does fail, no spooler.
restart the or an once more.
Check once again, opening the printer lbp must now produce the windows printer box with its 'ready' status Note that the canon tray printerthingy report normally used, but you should now be able to print things to him.

Note: it took me a long time, juggle with win xp, or restarts, reinstall the drivers, etc...
You must be determined enough to make it work as the virtual machine is slow, restaring it takes forever and the final result is still imperfect, you have to do the whole routine restart or after the virtual Windows XP startup whenever you need.

Now, once you've got liftoff is the printing process:

    -connect the printer
    -Start win XP virtual machine
-USB > camera Canon CAPS > connect
-Restart the printer spooler in: Config > System Management > System Services > or > start
-Open the document and print it

Complicated way to do it, but I use this printer for manufacturing toner-transfer method custom circuits and this way I don't have to put my designs on USB and start ye olde win XP on another pc.
Still I had some good fun breaking the problem :-)

  • Canon PowerShot S200 digital camera 2.0MP

My Canon PowerShot S200 digital camera 2.0MP does not work with Windows7.  I can't find a driver for Win7 from Canon site.  Am I out of luck?

Canon Power Shot S200 is marked as compatible with Windows 7 Compatibility Center page. as you note, however, is not.

  • I have a power shot sx HS 40 & need information about the use of filters with this camera? Thank you ~.

I have a power shot sx 40 & would like information on the use of filters with this device?

    Thank you ~.

    Hi Rainlily,

You will need the # model Canon adapter filter f-DC67A to use filters on this camera, which costs about $25.00. Bower makes one for about $9.00 available in B & H and Bower products work well with the Canon. This adapter uses 67 mm filters. If you have not yet all filters, I would recommend Hoya or Tiffen filters as they are of high quality at reasonable prices. Do not get the expensive filters because in general they can cause color casts that may be difficult to view the process on. Have fun!
