• PCI-7833R replacement

  I want to replace my card PCI of FPGA 7833R with new and better FPGA and the PCIe bus if possible.  I want to make little changes to the LabVIEW code as possible, but I notice the potential changes that I have so far.  Are there ways to get around them?  Are there changes more I should provide?

  1. change the device.  I guess I can change it easily enough in the Project Explorer.  Any trap?

  2. the ISB 7833R uses integer to represent floating point for the analog I/o.  Other new devices use the fixed point or floating point directly, which means that I have to do a lot of code changes.  Can I make the new device to all uses for analog values?

  Our products cRIO and sbRIO use the data type fixed point for the analog input, but all R & PCIe series PCI devices always use whole raw data to represent the analog inputs.

  Your code changes should be very minimal, if any. You need to add a new target to your project and FPGA IO, but if you give the channels the same alias as they had on your previous target you'll just have to drop the FPGA VI & other elements of project (memory, FIFO, etc.) under the new FPGA target and all should be well.

  Don't forget that you can try this and compile another target FPGA before still buy equipment. Since you can get your use of resources and timing reports, this could be useful to decide what R-Series Board you want to go with. Take a look at the knowledge base entitled 'how many slices My FPGA chip has it', this will give you a rough estimate of how much more great are other FPGAs, but it includes resources such as DSP, BRAM, etc.

  I think the USB-63XX (for example USB-6341) series, which has clocked and probably cheaper than the series PCI.

  (the website shows that this example applies to PCI-series)

• OptiPlex SFF 3020, no Communication Port Serial

  I have 10 systems Optiplex SFF 3020 and I can't get the serial to work. My rep does not know the model number of the serial port. I tried the following references, and they do not work:
  CN-Y9001
  CN-0Y73TJ

  If anyone knows what exactly reference number please answer. There is also a patch of the bios for this model that solves a problem with the com port that I applied to a system and only allows not always. Also, the internal com port is in conflict with PCI - e serial port cards even if it is disabled in the bios. Pci-series cards work for awhile but then start to malfunction. I tried 3 brands of different manufacturers. Virtually impossible to use one of these systems for what they were bought, which is printing to a printer series.

  I found myself then contact support technology guide on this issue. They had an internal bulletin to replace the will of card serial port Dell Part # 67 X 99 and that solved my problem.

  AFAIK the JGPS is a GPS connector. A mini map GPS might be connected to this connector.
  The ESATA connector is called JESAT, but there is no mSATA connector

• What is this on my PCI DAQ connector? (PCI 6259, M-Series)

But this has about four times as many pins I guess than to have. It is not schematized or mentioned in any job I can find online.

  Yes, version PCIe card has the supply and on the back of the card connector.  The PCI version does not work.  I think it's because PCIe is a lot of current as long as PCI, so the extra power is needed.

  Both versions have if the RTSI connector.

  in fact, the message you get is itself, as NI 6143 specifications indicates that this card supports just digital triggering. You will find the list of material of the series that supports analog triggering here: that S-Series (61xx) Support analog devices triggering?, or you can use an external circuit as comparison of analog signal.

  Just bought HP Envy 17 ", 17 t-n100. Originally, it is equipped with a 512 GB SSD, the m2, the sata3. I want to update Samsung SSD 950 Pro Series, 256 GB, PCIe NVM, m2 and use it as a boot drive. Is it possible for this laptop?

  * In terms of hardware, this laptop computer motherboard does support SSD PCIe and NVMe (physically and electrically)?

  * How about this laptop Bios, support NVMe? I know that win10 supports NVMe, but what the BIOS?

  The BIOS is not the issue. It also has to do with the material. And do you seriously change the BIOS is a viable option? The BIOS is exceptionally hardened against hacking efforts. Very few succeeded. A lot of effort have been made to the number of white list of wifi and very, very little success by very serious coders, which most of us is not.

  HP makes now several models that use NVME m2 disks but they are for most business models. I have one in my G3 from 15 Zbook I added and my 'world of the thinner' spectrum 13 was one of the factory. I tried upgrading my laptop SATA m2 (a Lenovo Carbon X 1) used prior and he is not, and this is the result which has been reported here with similar models of HP.

  I have a series RS-232/485 isolated 2-port PCI on my computer. I installed the card, then the software but my computer never acknowledged that there is a card in the PCI slot.  Because this card is old, I also tried to install older versions of the software serial but it did not help.  I have a Windows 7 computer x32bit and other PCI cards have been installed into the same slot before this one, so I know the works of slot.  The map was built well before Windows 7 and I don't know if they are compatible.  I was wondering if there is no way to force the computer to recognize the hardware or if there is a way to check to see if the card still works.

  I would like to sync between a 6110 S PCI card and a PCI 6250 M acquisition.

  The first question is: do I need a RTSI cable to connect two devices?

  Is it possible to use a single analog trigger (sent to channel the PCI6110 PFI) to start the acquisition on each card?

  I have a problem. I would like to synchronize the acquisition between two serial S PCI6110 and PCI6250 M-series devices. I try to use an example provided by NOR, but it does not work.
